  1. Nice to see the Mercedes AMG GT and McLaren. Odd to see the two Porsche 934 versions--those were done previously by Tamiya in those same liveries. Too bad the Isetta is not 1/24th. I wonder if the 1/32nd Opel GT and Beetle are the old Revell snap kits?
  2. No free shipping to the US, when I ordered the HY and Mehari on the 26th, the shipping was 24.50 euros.
  3. Yeah, I opened one of mine...only way I could get the box to completely shut was to take some parts off the trees..
  4. No idea, I guess I wasn't paying attention to large scale back then...there is a yellow firetruck version on eBay, and googling turned up a blue w/ yellow dump truck version.
  5. I got mine from Model Roundup a week ago..they are out there at various online resources.
  6. Oh well..the movie 'Idiocracy' is more prescient than ever...
  7. I did order mine directly from Heller..I know of a few online European retailers of diecast, I've bought a variety of diecast (Siku, Minichamps, Vanguards, etc) from them in the past, haven't found any for model kits, though.
  8. Interesting...don't think I ever saw that kit.
  9. Neat subject and neat kit...I have one unbuilt, may have to get one of the reissues also. That last 1:1 looks like it is in Colorado Springs, familiar mountain view from my past...
  10. 2 is the '83 anniv. edition, 3 is the '82. After the '84 kit, they were retooled into the SVO then later the '87/88 GT.
  11. The Daytona was reissued in the last 10-15 years, in it's final version ('92 ish?)... the '88 MPC Silverado became an AMT in '89, last version released was the early 90s 454SS IIRC...
  12. Yeah, wonder what happened to it...was never reissued. It was the last stock Lincoln kit...46+ years ago.
  13. Didn't say there was a hardtop, AMT could have done the 2dr sedan had the promo contract continued. Interesting about the Mexico Valiant hardtop...I found this ad (link below), and it doesn't look like they used the Dart roofline...maybe a 2dr ht based on the 2dr sedan roof stamping? I wonder when they quit making it... in the US, of course, the Valiant hardtop did return as the Dart-bodied Scamp in '71. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/89/e8/a3/89e8a35b03ccbcd754fef899ab802f0b.jpg
  14. Got a new battery today. Went out to start the Jeep, and click click nothing. AAA replaced it, under warranty..got 22 months out of it, pretty long for a battery here.
  15. Fascinating stuff..it's too bad AMT didn't do promos or kits of the '67+ Valiants...always liked the clean, crisp design of those..
  16. I ordered the HY and Mehari from Heller on the 26th. $72.62 for two kits shipped to AZ, not that bad, only $36 and change each. They have the Fergeson tractor on the site, figure it will be out sometime next year, that's oddly one I'm really looking forward to.
  17. Yes, I believe my '67 annual still has the clear hood unpainted...my '68 annual was bought as a built up w/o the box, so not familiar with it's original state..
  18. One weird detail I remember about the '80s Firebird reissues are the strange 6 lug custom wheels. I built the White Lightning, the Firebird ht and convertible (both as Trans Ams) and Camaro ht & convertible as a kid back in the day.
  19. Interesting...I wonder if that's true w/ the MPC '69 Firebird and Camaro convertibles also. The MPC Firebird and Camaro kits I have are molded in color 80s issues, both hts and convertibles. I don't have the original annuals, though I do have an annual MPC '67 Firebird and '68 Camaro.
  20. That's pretty cool... reminds me of the later AMC Eagle Kammback (used the Gremlin-derived Spirit body).
  21. IIRC, this was posted here a while back..I remember the truck front end. One of those things where someone had welding gear and a bunch of scrap vehicles and too much free time, I guess...
  22. It would need some scratchbuilding of the grille, taillights and rear panel. '76-77 were more different (incl. the front bumper and front edge of the hood), later years (78-80) the differences were very trivial.....
  23. No Aspens were made in kit or promo form. MPC did only the Volares from '77-80.
  24. I would assume it is..should be the same innards...forgot about the Mustang II...maybe they will reissue it in an authentic livery.
