  1. A lot look pretty fake and crude, like two door coupes with stuff stuck on the back..maybe built by a kid..
  2. HLJ is now showing it as a January release.
  3. Because those were the last ones tooled by MPC, and thus are the only tooling left. The tooling got updated for each revision..same reason they are reissuing the '80 Volare kit and not the '77-79 ones..
  4. Yes. That's what the previous poster was talking about. Other than the recent curbside Challenger, Camaro, and Corvette kits, there haven't been new releases of newer vehicles in around 10 years from AMT...(Chrysler 300C and Escalade were the last two IIRC).
  5. I've got one on pre order from HLJ...maybe they will get it next week, got a few kits in the private warehouse I'd like to ship before the end of the year..
  6. Hmmm....unassembled promos like the '10-11 Camaro SS kits were, I assume...
  7. Restorations are one of my favorite aspects of the hobby. There are several Facebook groups where people post their glue bombs, restos and in progress builds.
  8. About the only heavy truck item coming from Round 2 is one of the American LaFrance fire trucks I believe...
  9. Yes, the most recent tools of older subjects were first released 10-15 years ago..kits like the '60 Starliner, '71 Charger, '71 Duster...the '70 Monte Carlo is close to 20 years old.. so they are 'old' modern tooling...most of the rest of their tools are 30-50+ years old.
  10. I've bought maybe 250 vintage builtups over the last 15 years, the only ones I've brittle plastic issues w/ are mid 60s Johan Mopars..
  11. Hmmm...different body and trim, similar interior (not sure how much would be common), different but very similar chassis (3 in. wheelbase difference, I believe), same suspension, wheels, tires, engine, engine compartment parts...
  12. One of those 'part-em-out' sellers enabled me to get a number of Johan '65 Chrysler 300 parts that aren't available from the Modelhaus (where I normally source parts for my 'used' kits)...
  13. I would assume there will be some WCC branded kits eventually from Revell, I can see several that could be modified reissues of existing kit tools, looking at their showroom site http://www.westcoastcustoms.com/showroom/wcc and their TV build site http://www.westcoastcustoms.com/showroom/tv-builds
  14. You aren't the the target audience, then. But they aren't remotely donks..I just have to laugh when people can't get the terminology right..
  15. That's what I was thinking...don't want to hit one w/ a plane or suck one into an engine..
  16. Actually, their builds aren't 'donks'...they appear to be more contemporary or Pro Touring style, like the Foose kits. (i.e. the blue Shelby and HHR above).
  17. Cold here in Phoenix now...I'm looking at moving back to NE Ohio or Western PA next year...tired of the desert and 5-6 months of triple digit heat, just so bored with it here. Need greenery and gray skies...too much dust and sunshine for my tastes...
  18. Lol...he does look like a teenage skate punk in those dorky shorts and t-shirt...looks like he's 5 foot tall...
  19. Sounds like a good idea that will get Revell and models more publicity...can only be a good thing, IMO. I'd like to see them do a deal with Graveyard Carz and maybe the Roadkill guys.
  20. I thought John Meuller was at RC2/AMT in the '00s...didn't know he was at Revell.
  21. Some days I feel like I'm 'but a pawn in the game of life'. Or a cog in the corporate machine, a dweller in a cubicle..
  22. Correct, the strip is in unincorporated Paradise.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradise,_Nevada
  23. It's complicated.... but most likely LA will have a team again in the next few years...lots of talk of a new stadium and either the Rams, Chargers or Raiders (or two of them) moving there. One reason I've read there are no pro sports in LV is all the gambling. Another big city w/ out pro sports is Columbus--they don't have a pro football, baseball or basketball team...I've read it's because Ohio State is so big in college sports.
  24. Maybe it's just one of those mysteries of life that can't be explained. Maybe you have too much free time to ponder things like this...
  25. To release pressure when there are atmospheric changes due to altitude?
