  1. The empty void is outside the ice wall, guarded by Daleks
  2. I wonder why NASA or NOAA hasn't shown any pictures of the ice wall...or maybe that's part of the coverup?
  3. It's pretty funny, but Pastafarianism is as legit as any other religion, I suppose...
  4. Weather has been great here lately...alas, it's going to warm up for the weekend.
  5. Because the cost of a grille and decal change is negligible
  6. Never underestimate the limits of the human imagination. Many people are not burdened with having to believe 'facts'., I suppose.
  7. That is sweet.
  8. From what I've read, they are the previous pre paints with additional wheels, (presumably tires also?), hoods, decals, etc. Presumably molded in white.
  9. Pictures?
  10. No idea..IIRC, she drove an Edsel in AG..
  11. I'd love to see those, but presumably the tooling is long gone.
  12. Would be neat if they offered one of them with the stepside bed that was in the Hardcastle & McCormick version..
  13. Looking at Tower Hobbies, the '65 Grand Prix is going to in two versions also, white and aqua..listed as the 'Grand Slam'...IIRC, that is box art for the GP from the mid 70s. They also list a '57 Chevy Bel Air--don't know if it's the old tool or modern tool one, two color choices listed as having a 'Cindy Lewis diorama' (who is Cindy Lewis?). They list two versions of the '29 Ford Model A also, one in the Original Art Series and one regular And it looks like the '70 Pontiac Bonneville is going to be the convertible w/ pickup option again like the Model King version..
  14. One thing I never liked about the AMT Challenger--same issue w/ the Revell 1/24th one, IIRC is how the front pan has the bottom tips of the front fenders molded to it...not realistic.
  15. Nothing new, seems like it's been over 10 years since NASCAR kits were big sellers. There was a glut of them made in the 90s...
  16. I wonder if the '13 Camaro and '14 Mustang will be 2n1 with stock hoods and wheels or only with the silly cartoon hoods and wheels..
  17. To get the thread back on track, there are no boat kits announced for AMT or MPC for next year..
  18. I don't have my '70 ht box handy to check it, but i presume it had the canoe. I got mine as a builtup w/ no extras.
  19. I do wish they would tool up some modern Porsches besides the 918. The 911 GT3 RS and Cayman GT4 would be great to see, along with more down to earth versions...
  20. Saw a few interesting cars this week. Saw a red VW Clasico the other afternoon, basically a Mexican market update of a Jetta from 10-15 years ago, with Sinoloa plates. At my favorite Mexican restaurant Thursday night, there was a sharp tan and brown two tone '36 Chevy 5 window coupe parked out front. Also saw a clean black '69 Cadillac de Ville convertible yesterday, top down in traffic.
  21. Hmmm...I have all the AMT and MPC '60s Bonnevilles w/ their original boxes, none include a boat, though the MPC Bonneville ht has a canoe. The Model King MPC '70 Bonneville convertible w/ the boat is the only place I've seen the boat with a Pontiac.
  22. They are decent, not the best. They lack chromed parts and I've had a couple show up with light warpage.
  23. It's probably the same as the previous Vanishing Point issue w/ new box art. Pretty weak kit. The wheels in that version were the Chrysler Rallys, not the Magnum 500 like the '80s-90s issues of the kit had.
  24. Same here...I got it in the 80s, same box art, molded in tan..
  25. I read about this a couple years ago...pics all look Photoshopped...I wonder if the company actually has built anything or if it's just vaporware...
