  1. Meh...just alarmist speculation. I've never had a call from PayPal and never had any problems with them...been using them for years on eBay and other websites. Been very reliable.
  2. Saw a dark rootbeer brown '16 Passat wagon in traffic, I think it was the plug-in hybrid Euro spec model, had the C-shaped LED front running lights in the lower fascia. Had a strange license plate--an AZ plate in dark blue w/ white characters. Hmmm...VW evaluating a prototype here? They haven't sold a Passat wagon in the US in years..
  3. Got the April issue today..
  4. The April issue of MCM...better late than never, I suppose.
  5. Check eBay...I'm pretty sure I got the one I have from an eBay seller, but it's been 3-4 years. Lots of resin hoods pass through there..
  6. I got a stinger hood from a resin caster. Can't recall who though. Just to clarify--by Stinger, you mean the '67 Corvette 427 style hood (scoop and spear)...like this:
  7. Had a very good day at work today. The website I was the lead developer on for the last 8 months at my client went live today...and it went live very smoothly, very few issues so far. I'm tired (was at the office since 5:30 am), but feeling satisfied and a lot of stress relief..
  8. I ordered two sets over the weekend, got the shipping notice today..never ordered anything from Russia..strange to see a resin caster in Russia doing parts for such an American car..
  9. I learned a lot about cars and parts of cars from modeling...and some fascinating facts like how some cars had metal axles that went through the engine block..
  10. Wouldn't surprise me...a convertible would be nice also. The resin aftermarket will have the base Belvedere 2dr sedan covered.
  11. Saw several nice vintage Fords this morning...a light blue w/ white top '63 Falcon convertible, a gorgeous black '64 T-Bird convertible, top down, Sports Roadster tonneau cover over the back seat, wire wheels....and a very clean light blue w/ white top 4dr Fairmont Futura Zephyr (Fairmont tailights, 4 headlight Futura front, and Mercury Zephyr badging on the decklid).
  12. That C1 Camaro looks sweet...I recall seeing them on FB... those are the 'kidneybean' style wheels?
  13. I bought this Silvia kit recently, Hobby Search has pics of the parts and instructions. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10312058
  14. And it's for an old and obsolete technology...8 tracks haven't been sold new in what, 35 years? There are still people using them??
  15. And the Indy Pace Car decals, which the original issue didn't include.
  16. IIRC that was posted here a couple years ago...wild design.
  17. Sharp build of a fun movie car..
  18. And it's a 2dr..never seen a 2dr one except in a Collectible Automobile article years ago. There is a 4dr one in a similar blue near here (over around 20th St and Indian School).
  19. The roofline oddness is the result of taking a 4dr sedan w/ a sloping roofline, sloping rear doors and making a wagon from it.. I guess AMC didn't have the funds to design different rear doors w/ squared upper frames and a flat full length roof...
  20. Reality is complex. Of course, in the Google future, cars won't have grills or drivers..
  21. I love it too... I'm just drawn to more subtle designs..esp. for luxury cars, I don't like 'screamy' aggro designs..
  22. Nice...love the wheel choice and the subtle color choice...very different.
  23. The Aston Martins are good looking, esp. the more subtle versions. Some of my favorite designs today are the 'mainstream' Porsches--Cayman, Boxster, 911..some what retro but modern and not nasty.
  24. Yes..I find that car disgusting looking...looks like a bad Hot Wheels design...but that's just me.
  25. I have an STS and a DTS I may replace them both with a 3rd gen CTS in a year or so..
