  1. Working from home today and mail packages arrived..got a restorable mostly complete original AMT '65 Galaxie ht w/ the box.. Missing the engine. I have a few later issues, but didn't have an original issue.
  2. The XTS is a weak effort..it's based on the LaCrosse platform (Epsilon II)....the wheelbase is 4 inches shorter than the DTS, which was a decent car, though FWD. The XTS is tall, narrow, with very short front and rear.. The XTS is going to have a 4cyl as the base engine next year I've read. I like my STS (RWD, V6)....if I replace it with another Caddy, I'll probably go for a CTS. Though I like the Chrysler 300 quite a bit.
  3. I hate IE, but with web development, I have to make sure the websites I build work well in IE...though I develop on a Mac and do most of my development and testing w/ Chrome and Firefox, when I test in IE I find all sorts of issues, even w/ IE9.
  4. Sharp...love those vintage Johans....I have a builtup '63 300 convertible I got off eBay about 10 years ago...
  5. A restorable Johan '70 Javelin Mark Donahue Trans-Am kit...
  6. That taxi looks better than the Hummer..
  7. Similar headlights, but the proportions are completely different...in profile, it's basically the G8 with a new nose and tail.
  8. Nope...this is a serious RWD car w/ a V8...the Malibu is a FWD 4cyl rental car.
  9. The Chevy SS is coming..basically an updated G8.
  10. Those are neat...IIRC, 15 inch Eagle GTs are what my 1:1 '87 Mustang GT had back in the day.
  11. Neat...I wouldn't mind one to go w/ the Tamiya and Revell 2CVs......I'd love to see 1:24th kits or diecast of the SM and DS.
  12. I doubt it..GM has sold many non-NA built models here before and will continue to (the Aveo, Catera, '04-06 GTO, G8, the current Regal (first year of them were built in Germany), the upcoming Chevy SS. etc). Probably more of a marketing decision...didn't want it eating into Impala sales.
  13. The Panamerica race car appears to be a 2dr sedan, while the Revell kit is a 2dr coupe (shorter roof, smaller quarter windows). So it doesn't build out of the box as a replica of the actual race car.
  14. It's similar to what Moebius has done with the race versions of the Hudsons, but as a 2n1 instead of separate kits..
  15. The Caprice PPV has been around for a year or so..I've seen a few around. It's a variation of the long wheelbase Holden Caprice/Statesman, different roofline and rear 3/4 styling than the short wheelbase G8/Commodore The Commodore will be coming back to NA in updated form next year as the Chevy SS.
  16. Ah..I never see the right side content because I usually only navigate via 'View New Content'....don't see the right side in that view.
  17. I don't get it either, but maybe he only has one outlet.
  18. Wierd...I'm not seeing any ads.
  19. It's an opportunity to learn...
  20. IE 7 is a bit obsolete...you might want to upgrade to IE9 or Chrome. Lots of sites are not compatible w/ IE 7.
  21. Hershel McGriff's 1950 Carerra Pan American Road Race winner...so Revell is getting on the vintage race car bandwagon. The replica in the pics at the link is a 2dr sedan, though. Haven't seen any pics of the original race car (probably some grainy B&W pics out there somewhere). http://www.conceptca...smobile-88.aspx
  22. About a year before I was born...my brother was at Ohio State then, he wanted to go, but his Mustang got stolen.
  23. I would think it would be better to use Fed Ex or other when shipping to/from Canada instead of regular mail. I've never had problems w/ Fed Ex from other countries.
  24. I read the question as largest scale. 1/8th seems to be the largest for car kits. Though there have been larger scale motorcycle and engine kits, I think.
