  1. It would be nice to see lots of new tools of modern vehicles, but the old subjects are what sell... Remember, this is predominantly a hobby that skews towards older people. Revell still has 4 previously announced new tooling kits (albeit vintage subjects) coming this summer/fall (plus 3 RoG-origin new/modified tools).
  2. Kind of weird to see a 'moderator' named 'MODERATOR'. I prefer when they have a real name.
  3. I was speaking metaphorically...it's what gets attention..posts, page views...
  4. I think Harry started the thread to stir the pot, cause trouble...'cause that is what sells.
  5. I've had a mix of American (Ford, Jeep, Cadillac) and import (BMW, Mercedes) cars and SUVs over the last 25+ years of driving...been happy w/ my choices overall..some had more issues than others. Had a mix of new and used, for a daily driver I'd rather stick w/ late model cars for the reliablity and features.
  6. Thank you...I grew up w/ German Shepherds...great dogs. Thank you...Mini Schnauzers are great aren't they? My folks had one that I grew up with. I love terriers...small dogs w/ huge personalities..
  7. We had to euthanize our 14 yr old Australian Terrier, Nauti (aka Bitey Beast) this morning after a long battle w/ cancer. I really bonded w/ this feisty little dog and will miss her deeply.
  8. I started w/ Revell and Lindberg 1:32nd scale snap kits at age 6 in 1976...built my first glue kit (Revell '56 Chevy 'Bad Dream') in 1978...then several kits from the AMT 'Countdown Series' in '78-79...
  9. I forgot about that place...I've been there once, not bad...I just don't get out to the westside very often.
  10. Last year there were a number of haboobs that happened here in the evening when I was at home...kept the dog door shut and stayed inside...though I've been caught out on the road in the void a couple of times during them..
  11. I suppose I pay full retail or near 100% of the time. I buy from my LHS and Model Roundup, Model Express, and Hobby Link Japan.
  12. Well, they normally take 4-6 weeks....I ordered from them on 5/25 and haven't received it yet but I'm not worried..maybe email them if you are concerned.
  13. Sharp build..really like that kind of truck.
  14. I was born in Ohio but went to Michigan..my brother went to Ohio State, so we have a football rivalry..
  15. Sorry to hear that...I can relate...I lost my 14yr old Westie the day after Thanksgiving last year, and my 14yr old Silky Terrier (enlarged heart) and 14yr old Aussie Terrier (cancer) aren't long for this world, I'm afraid.
  16. I haven't seen the movies in about 10 years, so I don't recall the timeline..
  17. 2012 or 2015, sure seemed like a long way off back in '85...time flies.
  18. That sounds like the hideous gold Ford Taurus taht was in a video I saw a while back on YouTube..
  19. My old area also..from '97-02 I lived near Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado Springs and worked at MCI on GoTG Road for a few years..many of my friends and coworkers lived in the Mountain Shadows neighborhood, I looked at a couple houses there in '01 when I was thinking of buying there..very sad to see.
  20. It's a neat kit..got it and the RoG 300SLR coupe as gifts for my birthday last year...opened them, then put them in the to-build closet..
  21. Isn't the watch level 20,000 posts?
  22. Things are rough in Colorado Springs from what I'm reading and hearing...I used to live near the neighborhood that has been hard-hit (Mountain Shadows), know a number of people that live there..
  23. Same number of tires as the slicks set...I don't have a need for the slicks, but these I could definitely use. I did see them at the LHS on Monday and passed on them--they had a few sets, all of them seemed to have at least one tire that had the whitewall imprint out of round. Quality control issue on some, maybe?
  24. Probably licensing costs w/ Firestone contributed to the cost.
