  1. If the Gremlin is successful, maybe the AMT Matador coupe and Pacer wagon can be reissued. Or the MPC Pacer if it's tooling exists.
  2. Is this the kit (convertible) that was reissued IIRC in the late '90s in vintage box art, as part of the R-M SSP series?
  3. Neat...need some scale horses for the trailer....not sure if Breyer or Schleich makes any in 1:24th/1:25th.
  4. True enough about the scale accuracy..I recently sent a package via Priority Mail and had to wait in line at the PO to pay additional postage..I'd weighed it on my scale and printed out my postage at home, but was off by 7 cents. Oh well..a 45 minute wait for 7 cents...I hate waiting in line. My biggest gripe w/ the PO lately is they closed my local office that was about 2 miles away and now I have to use another one that is about 3.5 miles away (which is strange because there is another one that is closer in a different direction). And they aren't open on Saturdays and the daytime hours are too limited (since I usually work normal 8am-5pm hrs and have a commute). But, I've had more problems w/ UPS shipments lately...a package from a model car vendor was delivered to the wrong address and UPS swore up and down they delivered it to my house...turns out the driver transposed two digits in the 4 digit house number ...the resident at the other address delivered the package to me a few days later.
  5. Interesting...never heard about any Revell '50 Olds plans before the recent 2012 announcement. AMT had made an announcement some years ago after ERTL had done that subject as a 1:25th scale diecast. Anyhoo, it sounds like a bunch of interesting stuff is coming for '12.
  6. I like the Revell '32 Ford 3 window coupes for the wheels/tires and engine. For Mopars, the AMT '71 Duster, '68 Road Runner, '69 GTX kits for engines, engine compartment and chassis parts. For GMs, I like the Revell '98-02 Camaros and Firebirds for their engines...
  7. They make great stuff...I especially love their Dodge and Plymouth dog dish hubcaps..bought a bunch of those. I've bought a few of their conversion kits, starting w/ the '65 GTO about 5 years ago..
  8. Interesting..I thought maybe the "It's all good now" in the last message triggered an automatic locking.
  9. What I've read is that the next generation versions of Chrysler's compact (Caliber), subcompact (new entry possibly named the Hornet), and midsize models (Avenger, 200) will be based on Fiat/Alfa platforms but with unique-to-Chrysler bodies and interiors...the Caliber replacement is based on the Alfa Guiletta, for example, but will be wider and longer. Jeep will be getting a small Fiat based CUV to replace the Patriot and Compass....
  10. The 500 seems like a decent competitor to the Mini...I've seen a few around...way to small for me, but interesting nonetheless.
  11. I've read that the next generation Mustang for 2015 will have IRS.
  12. As an aside, I don't know if Moebius or anyone else plans to make new-tool vintage truck kits, but as far as Internationals go, I'd love to see a '60s-70s Loadstar...like in a stake bed or dump truck configuration.
  13. Display case w/ glass doors and glass shelves.
  14. Cool...wonder if Chevy will up the power on the '13 Camaro ZL1 to compete. I think a 400+ hp GT would be adequate for a daily driver, though my ~300hp Caddy and sub-200hp Jeep are fine for daily drivers... As far as IRS vs solid axle, I would rather see the Mustang offered w/ an IRS, though it seems w/ the GT and Boss 302 Ford has been able to make it handle quite well even with the limitations of a solid rear axle. I have to laugh when people try and argue that Mustang buyers prefer the old school rear axle...what about the Camaro and Challenger? I haven't heard any complaints about them having IRS... a modern RWD performance car should have IRS...it's not 1970.
  15. Got mine today. Looks good at first glance.
  16. I've never built anything in 1:35th, but something like this would be fun because it's so different...would have to get a few 1:35ths to group 'em together. I've built mostly 1:24th-1:25th but have certainly dabbled in other scales when I've found the subject matter appealing (like 1:20th scale F1 cars)...
  17. Neat...speaking of Tonka Ts, stashed away somewhere, I have 3 from my childhood..about 1:16th scale maybe...a roadster, delivery van, and 3rd bodystyle...made in the mid '70s.
  18. Looks like an interesting subject..too bad about the odd scale.
  19. I had a 'Hulk angry, Hulk smash' moment once when I embedded an exacto knife deep in my thumb while working on a Revell '59 Ford...
  20. My first car was an '86 Mustang LX 2.3. Don't miss it. My second car (which was my first new car), was an '87 Mustang GT..still have it.
  21. Looking good..that's a nice kit, Revell did a good job on those late '90s Ford trucks.
  22. The HID headlights are an option package..not specific to the GT. They had them in '10 as an option also.
  23. Well, there are two different headlight types available...the ones with the turn signals outboard are the optional bi-xenons, IIRC.
  24. Yes..that's the big piece needed....I hope Revell tools up an '11-12 GT or Boss 302 eventually, but at their release pace it probably won't be for a couple years..
