  1. A few soundtracks I enjoy while driving--the soundtrack to the movie 'Drive' (synth wave/electronica), 'Heat' (mid 90s w/ some Moby), and 'Strange Days' (mid 90s also). Listened to those 3 in the past on late night open road drives from Denver to Phoenix and Phoenix to San Diego at night across the voids...
  2. I have several from the last few reissues and one original issue..will pick up a couple more as parts kits for resin conversions.
  3. I remember that now..
  4. No idea..all I know is what I've read that the sedan rooflines were new for '65.
  5. I'll never forget at age 7 in 1977 my 2nd glue kit was an AMT 1/43rd Peterbuilt w/ trailer..the 'Dannon Yogurt' truck and trailer...lots of fiddly little parts...and I learned the term 'Luberfiner' from the instructions. I've bought several 1/25th semis since then, but haven't finished one yet...;)
  6. I think it's a '65 w/ a '64 decklid and taillights. Not sure why someone would do that, unless they didn't like the '65 taillights... '
  7. '64 sedan had the same roof as the '62-63, which is very different from the '65. '62-64 2dr sedan roof had a thinner C-pillar and a larger wrap around rear window..
  8. It was Tom Geiger that said Round 2 said a stock ambulance was coming...page 2 of this thread, on Oct 5th 2021.
  9. Not sure what is going on with the black & white 1:1 in the pic above...has the '65 roof but '62-64 taillights???
  10. Those wheels on the Rover were called 'Rostyle', very similar to the Magnum style in the US. The long-running Buick 5 spokes were called the Buick Road Wheels, I believe and differed from Magnums in that the spokes were concave rather than flat on their surfaces.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rostyle_wheel
  11. Yeah, there are extra parts that definitely point that way.
  12. Yesterday afternoon and evening I drove 90 miles from home down I-77 through Akron and Canton, Ohio to my farm and back, and saw the aftermath of not one, but 4 chain-reaction style crashes..in the last month of making that drive (albeit usually on Saturdays and Sundays), I had seen no accidents..
  13. I am fine with either standard time or DST year round. Every year when I change the clocks forward or backward an hour it messes up my sleep pattern for a week or so. Having one timezone year round was great when I lived in AZ, but it inevitably caused confusion at work as I was always working with teams in other time zones and we would be off by an hour at times. I like the idea of not getting dark as early in the evening in the winter. Back when I had a commute it got tiring in the winter leaving for work in the dark and getting home in the dark. Dark in the morning is a moot point since I work from home..I wake up around 7 and start work between 8 and 9 regardless of the time of year. I like having more daylight in the evening after work (after 4-5pm) for doing stuff at home outside, dining out, etc...
  14. Right, floorpans would be different with the different chassis design..(Chevy X-frame vs Pontiac perimeter frame)...maybe a narrower track also, if Chevy had a narrower track than Pontiac's 'wide track' (or was that just marketing hoo-ha?)
  15. It's been discussed in various threads, incl. '2022 Round 2 Releases' thread. First mention seems to be on page 16.
  16. A lot of modern gas tanks and radiators are plastic..probably easier/cheaper/faster to replace than attempt to fix.
  17. Yeah, 4.0L. It was my neighborhood independent shop I took it to. Maybe if I had gone to a dealer would have found the issue faster. Long ago and far away…
  18. The 131 was sold in the US...no idea if any Abarth ones were sold here then, though..
  19. Hopefully an SRT Hellcat or SRT Hellcat wide body will be among the other versions... they would be obvious variations.
  20. Would be nice. Round 2’s script with modern subjects seems to be to offer multiple single version kits rather than options, though. (Going by how the 6th gen Camaro kits were, as that is their only recent example).
  21. Depends on the state. In Arizona, it's legal.. I had several vehicles there with dark front side window tint. Not sure about the windshield.
  22. Sad, great actor... he was great in big roles and small roles... had a small role in 'Goliath' in recent years that was good. 'History of Violence' was another small role, quite good in that.
  23. Yeah, the gray plastic on my Jeep bumpers and side trim was faded after years in sunny Arizona.
  24. Nothing new. My old Jeep had gray plastic bumpers, rocker and lower door trim. My newer Jeep has black wheel arch trim, not as noticeable on a black vehicle.
  25. I've never had anything unsafe or a rust bucket, but I have had a few high mileage semi-unreliable vehicles. I never want to depend on anything with over 100k miles again. Old high mileage vehicles could be fun as occasional use weekend toys, but I don't want to depend on one as a daily again..been there, done that..having to get a AAA tow twice in the same week is no bueno.
