  1. '34, I think..it was definitely one of the first truck-based wagons.
  2. My Bronco and my Jeeps have all been designated as such..I don't think (some) DMVs/BMVs recognize 'SUV' as a body style.
  3. Yeah, I have the original MPC annual '67 and the mid '80s reissue (white car w/ big hood scoop on box), along w/ the Revell '67s and the AMT annuals...I want this one for the engine and wheels combo..I like the box art.
  4. I got an email from Model Roundup that mine shipped. So hopefully will have one of each next week.
  5. Would be nice if Revell would make a '68 SS 396...would go well w/ their '67 and '69 kits.
  6. Another example I’ve read about is the power seat switches on older Lincolns. Jeep had a recall for something under the hood causing random fires maybe 10 years ago.
  7. Check his website..says he's not taking new orders at this time.
  8. That one would be fun to see again...
  9. I might get the Californian. Never had one, looks like it could be built into an interesting custom if I raid the parts box..
  10. The Californian, ‘62 Bel Air Don Nicholson, ‘65 Chevy II AWB, and ‘71 Monte Carlo stocker reissues should be out this month.
  11. I’ve seen those tire caps in parts boxes and wondered what they for…interesting.
  12. I learned to winter drive in the 80s in an underpowered RWD manual car with snow tires, only went off the road and got stuck once in 6 years. But now I wouldn’t drive in the winter without an AWD SUV w/ winter tires, 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS, 4 wheel low, mud and snow settings, hill descent control, traction control, all the goodies. As far as parallel parking, I think I’ve only done it a handful of times in 35 years of driving…when I’m parking in a city, it’s usually in a parking garage or lot.
  13. March 19th according to their FB page.
  14. New hood and the SS grille emblem instead of the bowtie in the grille, and other SS badges (decals?) I'd assume...
  15. ABS has been mainstream for about 30 years, hasn't it? IIRC, everything late model I've had since the late 90s has had 4 wheel discs w/ ABS. They work great.
  16. Neat...Canadian..a Laurentian or Strato-Chef? Can't read the rear fender badging...looks like a lower trim level.
  17. My late brother and I also had a subscription to that magazine then and I remember that article. I’ve always been interested in the Cannonball Run, similar events, and the people and cars involved. I have an MPC ‘74 Challenger I want to build to resemble Brock Yates’ car.
  18. I really liked their ‘80s and ‘90s cars. Had a ‘96 E36 M3 for a while, the straight 6 was very smooth and fun to drive w/ the manual.
  19. I'm sure a few have issues, but I put 17 yrs and 170k miles on my '00 Grand Cherokee, no problems w/ the heated seats..they still worked fine when I traded it 5 years ago..
  20. IIRC, weren't those 4 headlights smaller than the usual rectangular glass sealed beam...I recall GM used a small rectangular sealed beam on some quad light setups in the late 80s-mid 90s.. I don't recall sure if anyone other than GM and Isuzu used them.
  21. I love the heated seats, heated steering wheel, and heated mirrors in the winter here in Ohio. My sister, on the other hand, doesn't have them in her car, doesn't like them, and won't use the heated seats in my Jeep when she rides w/ me. After having vehicles w/ heated seats for over 20 years, it's a feature I gotta have in cold climates...
  22. I’ve had that issue with Grubhub and DoorDash food delivery drivers leaving food orders right up against the door. I have room to the right of the right of the door to place items, and the roof overhangs the doorway so it’s usually sheltered. My Amazon/Whole Foods delivery drivers are usually good about placing the bags to the side, but occasionally I’ll find two 24 flats of bottled water against the door. Or strangely sometimes drivers leave a package against the garage door. Glad I have cameras with views of the front door from two angles and the driveway…
  23. Yeah, I read 120 for the '64-67... '68 got a 1 inch bump.... 0.04 inch in 1/25th..
  24. Ick...needs a cover over that mess.
  25. The AMT '68 El Camino or AMT '70 Monte Carlo might be good, as they have longer wheelbases and a separate frame. Anything would need the frame stretched a bit since the Vista Cruiser/Sport Wagon had a 121" wheelbase, while the '68-72 A-body coupes were 112"...and the '68-72 El Camino and '70-72 Monte Carlo were 116".
