  1. Those wheels on the Rover were called 'Rostyle', very similar to the Magnum style in the US. The long-running Buick 5 spokes were called the Buick Road Wheels, I believe and differed from Magnums in that the spokes were concave rather than flat on their surfaces.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rostyle_wheel
  2. Yeah, there are extra parts that definitely point that way.
  3. Yesterday afternoon and evening I drove 90 miles from home down I-77 through Akron and Canton, Ohio to my farm and back, and saw the aftermath of not one, but 4 chain-reaction style crashes..in the last month of making that drive (albeit usually on Saturdays and Sundays), I had seen no accidents..
  4. I am fine with either standard time or DST year round. Every year when I change the clocks forward or backward an hour it messes up my sleep pattern for a week or so. Having one timezone year round was great when I lived in AZ, but it inevitably caused confusion at work as I was always working with teams in other time zones and we would be off by an hour at times. I like the idea of not getting dark as early in the evening in the winter. Back when I had a commute it got tiring in the winter leaving for work in the dark and getting home in the dark. Dark in the morning is a moot point since I work from home..I wake up around 7 and start work between 8 and 9 regardless of the time of year. I like having more daylight in the evening after work (after 4-5pm) for doing stuff at home outside, dining out, etc...
  5. Right, floorpans would be different with the different chassis design..(Chevy X-frame vs Pontiac perimeter frame)...maybe a narrower track also, if Chevy had a narrower track than Pontiac's 'wide track' (or was that just marketing hoo-ha?)
  6. It's been discussed in various threads, incl. '2022 Round 2 Releases' thread. First mention seems to be on page 16.
  7. A lot of modern gas tanks and radiators are plastic..probably easier/cheaper/faster to replace than attempt to fix.
  8. Yeah, 4.0L. It was my neighborhood independent shop I took it to. Maybe if I had gone to a dealer would have found the issue faster. Long ago and far away…
  9. The 131 was sold in the US...no idea if any Abarth ones were sold here then, though..
  10. Hopefully an SRT Hellcat or SRT Hellcat wide body will be among the other versions... they would be obvious variations.
  11. Would be nice. Round 2’s script with modern subjects seems to be to offer multiple single version kits rather than options, though. (Going by how the 6th gen Camaro kits were, as that is their only recent example).
  12. Depends on the state. In Arizona, it's legal.. I had several vehicles there with dark front side window tint. Not sure about the windshield.
  13. Sad, great actor... he was great in big roles and small roles... had a small role in 'Goliath' in recent years that was good. 'History of Violence' was another small role, quite good in that.
  14. Yeah, the gray plastic on my Jeep bumpers and side trim was faded after years in sunny Arizona.
  15. Nothing new. My old Jeep had gray plastic bumpers, rocker and lower door trim. My newer Jeep has black wheel arch trim, not as noticeable on a black vehicle.
  16. I've never had anything unsafe or a rust bucket, but I have had a few high mileage semi-unreliable vehicles. I never want to depend on anything with over 100k miles again. Old high mileage vehicles could be fun as occasional use weekend toys, but I don't want to depend on one as a daily again..been there, done that..having to get a AAA tow twice in the same week is no bueno.
  17. I never had anything too sketchy, but the '79 Dodge Power Wagon 4x4 pickup my Dad had in the 80s and I learned to drive in was subjectively awful. It only had 25k miles in 1985, but the steering was numb and had no on-center feel (I would drive down the road constantly steering to keep it in a straight line)...the suspension was very bouncy, and it would stall on left turns. Another car I learned to drive in and drove some in high school and college was my Dad's '84 Ford Escort L diesel 5dr hatchback w/ 5spd manual. He bought it to tow on the back of the family Winnebago. It would be ideal today as far as the gas mileage--got up to 55 mpg on the highway, but it was slow to accelerate and was very spartan inside (red vinyl interior, manual windows, am radio, A/C was the only option I think).
  18. Little metal springs. The 1/20th MPC Corvettes were the same way.
  19. I never said anything about the SS. I was talking about the AMT annuals. They made a ‘62 Chevy II convertible kit. I have one.
  20. The driver kind of looks like early 80s Kurt Russell channeling Abe Lincoln. Or Wolverine.
  21. I saw that kit on Model Roundup..looks like a really neat subject.
  22. I have a couple 1/24th ICM models (the convertible and sedan Opel Admirals) and a variety of resin parts from USCP. Very high quality.
  23. Very sharp build...great color combo. I have a Danbury Mint diecast one in that color combo.
  24. I've never had a need for a truck living in suburbia and decent-sized cities over the last 20+ years (Phoenix, Denver) ...the times I've needed one for moving furniture, etc I've rented a pickup or a van from Home Depot or UHaul. A 2 row midsize SUV (Jeep) has been sufficient for a daily driver. If it didn't fit in the Jeep, I'd have it delivered. Though a beater 4x4 truck would come in handy now as I foresee spending the next year of weekends hauling tools, etc stuff in and out of my inherited family property trying to clean up the place..
  25. I got a set of those in the mail today to use on the Chevelle reissue. IIRC, forward_resin is MCM's Casey.
