I can't think of another service that has the vast reach and # of potential customers as eBay. I know some sell on Amazon as an Amazon seller...but never bought a used kit on Amazon. I think of Amazon as a place to source new stuff, not sure how effective it would be for selling kits.

The way I understand it, Instead of the seller directly receiving PayPal payments and using PayPal to print their address/postage label, the PayPal payment goes to the eBay Managed Payment account then to the sellers bank, and the seller uses the eBay Managed Payment system to print the label/postage... so eBay is more a middle man than before as far as payments. Using eBay Managed Payments is now mandatory for sellers is my understanding.

It's happened more than once... I bought two builtup Johan '66 Cadillac hardtops on eBay a few years apart because I forgot I had one already (I had the earlier purchase in my spreadsheet as a '65). More recently, in 2017 after moving cross country, I thought I had a Revell of Germany Mercedes AMG GT... I remember thinking I had it, but didn't find it after unpacking all the models I'd moved, so I bought one. About a year later, I was unpacking some random boxes in my basement and found an unopened package from Model Roundup---had a RoG Mercedes GT and two Moebius '69 Ford pickups in it. Had to think about it, and what I think happened is that order came right as I was finishing up the packing for the move and never opened it, just put it in the moving Pod.

eBay Managed Payments is what they call it. My sister sells occasionally on eBay, and she set up a separate checking account to link to it. Said it takes a couple days to get payments into the account compared to how it was when using PayPal directly.

MCW has a ‘64 and a ‘65 Cutlass ht available. -
Creative license I guess. The kit has round lights.

Ordered some shelving for my garage off Walmart’s website Sunday. Free shipping. Got it today via Fed Ex. An Amazon seller wanted $28 to ship the same item.

There are none on the 1:1. (cowl vents toward the back of the hood).

On one of my eBay items, the tracking number didn’t get updated for 10 days. But after 22 days, it still hasn’t left the Phoenix area....maybe I’ll get it in the next week.

The stock version of the Buick was reissued in the 90s by Lindberg, with pretty awful box art also. The Grand Prix, Grand Am, and El Camino were reissued also IIRC..

I've used Core Wellness Senior Grain Free turkey/chicken dry dog food and Wellness 95% Chicken grain free wet food for years for my pack of small terriers. A couple of them have sensitive stomachs and they have been fine on Core Wellness. I have used their seafood variety as well. It's US made also. I get it from Amazon.

Yeah, lots of not good w/ USPS shipping currently. I have 3 packages (all eBay purchases) with 'delivery date unknown' status when I check them on the USPS site Informed Delivery feature. One is a eBay purchase from Dec 6th. I figure they will get here whenever they get here... My usual Amazon orders are still coming fine, sometimes a delay of a day or so...and Fed Ex has been fine also. The weather has caused some delays here also.

No, this Belvedere tooling started in the 90s at Lindberg. Jo-han made a '64 Fury back in the 60s, but that was a different kit.

I compared it with a Lindberg one and besides the box, the differences seem to be the instruction sheet (redone in AMT style) and the decal sheet (expanded in the AMT version, but with some missing).

AMT kits suck!
Rob Hall replied to Plumcrazy Preston's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I can’t see that happening, and a lot of American modelers would whine that they were done in the ‘wrong’ scale. -

Actually, Tamiya has done many classic cars... the '60s VW Beetle and Karmann-Ghia, the vintage Renault 2CV, vintage Fiat 500, '50s Mercedes 300SL, '60s Lotus Seven and Europa, '30s Toyota, etc.... -
Yeah, vestiges of past releases, along w/ the roll cage and wheelie bars, along w/ the monster hood scoop..

There are slight sink marks vertically near the ends of the fenders and flashing (the driver’s side has quite a bit of flashing on the edge and down the top edge of the fender).

Mine arrived today, It's definitely an improvement over the previous issues of the MPC kit (at least the ones from the last 40 years). Photos below of the new grille/headlight area, front and rear bumpers. They also included license plates (nice to see, previous didn't have them), and new clear lenses for the 6 front lights. Nice to see improvements on an old kit, the only current '71 Mustang, since the new Revell kit is probably at least a year or two away...
