  1. Interesting...not very familiar w/ Frog...they were a British company I believe? I think I saw a pic once of a Frog reboxed AMT Ford kit...
  2. Haven't had a chance to do with mine, but plan to check it out..wheelbase was the same from '62-67, so the 2nd gen chassis should be fine.
  3. They are great...people have been really creative...I saw one where he was on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise from Star Trek, one where he in an old black and white photo of iron workers building a skyscraper, etc...he definitely gets around...
  4. Got a job offer today...I'd been looking for a couple of weeks since I found out that my current contract is ending February 5th. I'd been working remotely for 3 1/2 years, and over the last year it's been clear the work was winding down..been pretty boring lately. I had several interviews last week, and landed a full time gig w/ a local tech company (still working from home though)... using cutting-edge technology, small company, great salary (30% raise over my current gig, which paid quite well) and benefits, etc.
  5. It's a '68 according to the DVLA site. https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/VehicleFound?locale=en
  6. The street M1 is one I definitely want along w/ the Land Cruiser. I have the ESCI street SLC....the plain 190 looks interesting...I built the Fujimi 190 2.3-16 back in the day.
  7. It's an old ESCI tool, probably comparable to their other ex-ESCI tools like the Merc G-wagen, Land Rover and Range Rover. Neat to see it reissued, it's the only 1/24th kit of an FJ/BJ I know of...
  8. Nice..Tamiya has done this subject before, but in 1/12th scale.
  9. Never knew about those kits...very cool..my sister would love those....I built the AMT Yellow Submarine kit for her when it was reissued.
  10. The boxes are about 60% of the height of a normal kit, no doubt so due to the limited parts count.
  11. Got mine today, haven't had a chance to open them yet...neat little boxes.
  12. There are those two little doors on each side of the grille. Maybe also an engine cover in the interior floor? There is a seam ahead of the cowl below the windshield and down the sides, not sure if the whole nose comes off or not.
  13. It's still slow, not as slow as December I've found...an eBay purchase from Jan 3rd just arrived today, 17 days later, not too bad...
  14. Ranger was a trim package on the F-series from '65-81, before the compact Ranger came around...
  15. Sharp build w/ nice weathering... reminds me of the older 4x4s I used to see in the small mountain towns of Colorado I'd see when out exploring.
  16. Not interested in this, have several of the reissues of the stock '70 and '72 along w/ a '71 annual. Would be neat to see the '72 reissued in this version, though:
  17. Exactly...too many other kits have that problem... or worse, ones with no front support or cowl piece... open from the top of the windshield forward is a recipe for warpey...
  18. That kit is race only, though, so of limited use...
  19. They could have kept a solid panel in place and tooled up a separate grille and headlight buckets to fit onto it, but that would have increased parts count and cost.
  20. Separate would have facilitated doing a subsequent '73 version, but not sure there would be much demand for that..
  21. Yeah, can't see much point in that, esp. considering Revell has a very nice Daytona...better for Round 2 to do something new and different. Rerunning their tired MPC Daytona kit w/ the ill-fitting nose costs very little.. On the other hand, I don't know if Round 2 has Fast & the Furious licensing anymore, but a snap kit of the heavily customized Daytona from the 6th film would be neat.
