  1. Well, i just scored an original issue woody/pickup combo, so I'm sure Round2 will announce it now. The pickup/woody would make a cool retro release, especially if they included the Hot Curl figure again. Throw some cool pad printed tires and decals in the mix and some retro box art and I'd buy another. Just please, never issue those hamburger meat snow tires again. I'd love to see the 28 sedan back too.
  2. Man, that's exactly why i love the mid-60's GM designs. So clean. Thanks for sharing
  3. I think there are drag parts, including the crazy dual Judson blown motor and possibly the full tonneau
  4. This is the last reissue of the roadster that i can recall, before the Rat Roaster (which is a new tool). Maybe something happened to the tooling (worn out?) and that's why they went all new with the RR? Or perhaps it's just patiently waiting the the warehouse to be run again. Although I would prefer to see the RR instead since it has some unique parts. maybe just don't do the RR branding? The kit from this series that really needs to come back is the Sedan. It was only issued once, and commands strong prices on eBay, WHEN they come up at all. I know eBay pricing is not a true indicator of the need for a reissue, but the scarcity of availability is.
  5. Pretty sure the 66-69 Falcon tool became this, but now that i've secured a couple glue bombs for a pretty penny they'll surely find the tooling ...
  6. Glad this community build is gathering steam while I've been away. Everyone's progress is looking good. Tim, that scratchbuilt frame is sick!
  7. Thank you for saying something. Revell US was doing quite well at the time. They didn't go bankrupt, their parent company did (Hobbico)
  8. I seem to remember doing this same thing last Christmas season, so it's not Covid related. It's really a simple sales tool for them. No time wasted stocking shelves, as I'm sure the display comes on a pallet straight from the Round2 warehouse. They just plop it down in the aisle and let the sales fly.
  9. Not, to be argumentative, but pretty sure Misha was saying that the AMT versions of the Vicky and Phaeton are the only ones available in 1/25 of those body styles.
  10. I've got a few Copper Sunrise 60's show pickup. It an actual 32, not the AMT/Lindberg 34, by Rep+Min of Md. Features a pull out tool box in the bed. Saw it in an old Hot Rod. Engine is a resin copy of the McCullough blower setup from the AMT 61-63 Ford pickups, but mounted to the engine from the new tool AMT 60 Starliner.
  11. Nice job. These big scale Lindberg kits don't get the love compared to the Monogram stuff. But you've shown that with a little love they can sparkle.
  12. Looking good. Maybe for the doors just shave off the molded door handle and then make a simple interior panel out of .020 plastic sheet? You can add back a handle if you want, and it will hide the ejector pin marks with minimal worry about damaging the paint and stuff
  13. I think this is the only finished Vicky I have in my collection. Rep+Min body conversion.
  14. This build is so creative. I love it. Making the Speedwagon body not look modern is tricky, but you certainly pulled it off here. And the black paint with black "stained" wood really works. Similar to how Lincoln did their Blackwood trucks
  15. I have quite a few of their parts saved in my ebay watched items. Very cool and unique stuff for sure. But I haven't seen any of it in person yet. Honestly, in my opinion the prices seem kind of high. A set of 4 1/25 wheels and tires is $40. From Rep+Min, the tops in resin casting in my opinion, is $10-20. Sure, 3D Scale Parts has free shipping, but still.
  16. "regular guy" is well known around here for spouting some , shall we say dubious "information" on this board. He hasn't been around much anymore. His posts were always good for pure entertainment value, but not much factual information
  17. Nice clean build. Man, those tires are sweet
  18. Accupro was the name of the company that did the zipper bodies. Every once in awhile on will pop up on eBay but i always seem to miss out for some reason. Thanks for starting this thread, i'll jump in at some point with mine. A have... a few ?
  19. Thanks for taking us along for the ride because your results are stellar. The paint looks like you can swim in it, and the wheel/tire package is just right
  20. This model is just stunning. I especially like the metal finishes on the engine, the stance, and oh man that paint color. Please tell me since Etzels is gone and Norm actually performed some rework on those wheels that he made a mold of them??? I sure hope so, they are great representations of the no hole Halibrands.
  21. Oh man, Tim and Michael. Seeing how that Buttera chassis sits just right with a couple mods in that Revell 29 A fender unit has me seriously reconsidering which base kit to build for the Bodacious Billet Build-off. Michael, your job on the top and wheel tire selection is looking great.
  22. I believe the version with the yellow flamed truck on the box is actually a 2n1 with custom and stock parts
  23. Glad to see the growing enthusiasm for this community build. I'm still a ways off from jumping in myself. Still trying to decide exactly how to approach mine and what the subject will be. I know the title says 80's, but obviously the billet movement extended well through the 90's, and actually started in the 70's. So, don't let the "80's" name restrict you.
  24. The issue with using either the Revell 29 roadster or 30 coupe bodies on stock fenders is the rear wheel opening is raised in the body, so there's a significant gap. You'd have to fill that.
  25. Great show. Season 2 is just as good with no fall off in quality. Sadly, it appears there will be no season 3, at least not in the foreseeable future. It's still worth watching both seasons, but yet another show left without a satisfying wrap to the story https://www.denofgeek.com/tv/mindhunter-season-3-canceled/
