  1. Like Dennis, i built mine shortly after it came out too. it is a fun, well engineered kit, that practically falls together.
  2. I think most people are well aware of the weekly 40% coupon. But these sales where all model kits are 40% is a big deal because you can buy more than one kit at 40%. For people that live close to a HL that's not a big deal, but for people who don't live close to one it makes economic sense to make one occasional trip and pick up a bunch of kits than multiple trips to get one at a time.
  3. Ma, I've been wanting to try something similar if I could ever get my hands on one of those roof pieces. I love the subtle changes you made, especially the addition of the earlier taillight
  4. Any word on the short bed conversions?
  5. I have amended my previous post
  6. I could be wrong, but I think everything on the bottom illustration except the surfboard survived in the kit to this day, including the skateboard
  7. It has been quite some time since the 28/29 pickup has been released. Probably 15 years, and definitely before Round2 took over. So I'm hoping for a retro treatment with the smooth wheels (that actually date back to the 28 sedan version his tool sprung from) . And cool boxart will be a plus. And is it too much to hope for the Hot Curl to come back?
  8. Anyone have the instructions to this version showing the mods you have to do to fit the Hemi? This is the version I want to build of this kit someday. edit- I see now this version is being rereleased, but unless they really wow me over with cool parts and decals I'll save my money and build it out of one of the 4-5 kits I already have of this.
  9. hahahaha, of course they did. Here's hoping the Hot Curl comes back
  10. Thanks for sharing. As a big 32 Ford fan I've been intrigued by these frames when i saw them on FB. They do look quite well engineered, and your fit-up with the Revell fender proves that fact. And now i know how much work it will take to get them whipped into shape. Now it's saving up my pennies to swallow that big shipping pill that comes with ordering from "down under"
  11. If you're on Facebook, find them there. They don't appear to have updated their website in awhile. But they are often sharing new products and ways to order them on FB, including all the 32 frames they offer
  12. I've bee really thinking hard about backdating a Revell 32 frame closer to stock and I was thinking the crossmember from the Revell 40 would fit the bill. Thanks for confirming it for me
  13. There is a company out of Australia that has some nicely designed 32 Ford frames. However, there appear to be a lot of "steps" in their prints, so that's what has put me off from ordering yet. But that may not be a big deal on a larger part like a frame. I'd love to hear feedback from someone that has actually bought their products before i buy He is also a member here https://bullyscustoms.wixsite.com/website
  14. Not to hijack your thread, but is this the most recent version of the Lindberg kit you are referring too?
  15. Stumbled upon a fact while researching elsewhere. Looks like this kit came out in 2007, and hasn't been reissued since. This would be easy money for Revell
  16. That box art for the 53 Stude is just stunning, including the side panels.
  17. This is one of the nicest builds of this odd little kit I've ever seen. You've maximized and improved on the bare bones of the kit and really made it into something very cool. Well done
  18. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this build is stunning. great color combination and use of parts. It's also nice to see one of the Drag City Casting bodies i mastered actually finished because I've only seen a few. I'll re-ask the popular questions, what is the source for the wheels?
  19. Man, I'm bummed I can't even see it. Anyone else?
  20. Well done. Clean execution as always from your bench. That color is something else. Subtle yet sinister. I wasn't sure about the integrated visor into the roof when you were in the build, but you pulled it off. Well done
  21. Nicely done. I have this one in my stash, would love to actually build some of these mid-century European cars because the designs are so classic. Nice job adding subtle upgrades to the nice kit. Especially like the paint detailing on the chassis.
  22. I remember that. Some people were bummed when they didn't materialize, but note enough interest I guess. I've never had an intact 1st issue woody/pickup kit with the parts on the trees to know where the Hot Curl parts are located and if they're just welded closed or replaced by new parts. But looking at the pic below my guess would be they're just welded off. I know Round2 has spent money to bring back cool stuff before (go cart, soap box racer, mini bikes, etc) but I don't know if there would be return on investment for this quirky little item. If anyone has these parts in their stash I'd take them off your hands. I have ideas.
  23. Really nice job. When I saw the title i was really hoping this is what it would be. Your weathering and damage are well executed and not overdone.
  24. Cool conversion Just wondering why you had to split the front fenders and move the outer portion of the whole thing forward?
  25. No, not really. Don't be bummed. There's leaked box art, and multiple reliable sources (including an official Revell USA rep) that says it should be out in 2021 Of course, if you really want to build a 30 coupe, Drag city Castings offers an improved 30 Coupe body that you can bash with the current Revell 29 A roadster kit
