Revell Chopper #2
Modlbldr replied to Modlbldr's topic in WIP: All The Rest: Motorcycles, Aviation, Military, Sci-Fi, Figures
Thanks Man. I have been slowly plugging along on this during breaks at work. Made a seat cushion and painted it and the grips in Satin Warm Caramel. I thought it would go better with the red than black would. I also have the front end together and am working on the engine and rear wheel setup. At the moment the rear tire hits the fender so I'll need to do some adjusting there. Later- -
In what vehicle did you learn to drive?

I remember similar accounts. I had a lot of fun in that car over a short few years before my older brother wrecked it, bending the frame. Later- -
In what vehicle did you learn to drive?
Modlbldr replied to BeakDoc's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I learned to drive in 85. We had three vehicles at that time that I took turns learning to drive. We had a 47 Ford four door sedan with the sloped back-bone stock with the 6 cylinder and three on the tree, a 73 Plymouth "Gold Duster"- automatic with a slant 6, and a 51 Kaiser. Loved all three of them for different reasons. Later- -

Zippi- Great looking 1:1 you found. Nice to see someone else building a similar Nova. I looked online and found one I like. I'm thinking of building a turboed LS motor for mine (if I can come up with an LS). My Nova is a resin post sedan. I sprayed the chrome with Tamiya Smoke. Can't wait to see yours. Later-

70s trike
Modlbldr replied to Vettegasser's topic in WIP: All The Rest: Motorcycles, Aviation, Military, Sci-Fi, Figures
Yeah, I like the look of the smaller tank. I think lowering the height of the tank would give it a better look. I'm enjoying building the bike kits that I have. I may have to convert one to a trike myself. Later- -
Gregory, Although your choice of builds are not anything I would desire to build I am always impressed by your quality of building. Even more so when it's understood that there is no readily available kit from which to start. Extremely impressive work! I look forward to viewing your next masterpiece. Later-

Revell Chopper #2

Got some paint sprayed on the bars and Molotow chrome sprayed on the front forks and parts. Progress is slow but working on three projects at the same time. Later- -
Thanks Fellas. I wasn't sure at first on the color because it looked like too much but I think with the chrome it has grown on me. Later-

Yeah, I like the look of the darker chrome. I'll definitely be using it again. Thanks Scott! I'm glad to have it. Later-

This is a resin body that I got in a trade recently. The paint is Tamiya Gunmetal with Tamiya TS 20 Metallic Green then topped with Tamiya X 25 Clear Green. The chrome has three light coats of Tamiya Smoke sprayed over it. Thinking of something like an LS7 for power. Later-

That fogging on the paint is looking great Tom! I spent some.time.today doing a bit (very small amount) of BMF on the 57 Chevy. I also airbrushed some Molotow chrome on some parts for my custom chopper. I sprayed a final coat of clear on my Nova Sedan and sprayed a coat of Tamiya Smoke on the chrome for it. Later-

Just got my end of a couple of deals with Bisc63 and larry ray. Wouldn't hesitate to trade again with either of them. Later-

Nice mods to this classic. Your work is clean, as always. I'm glad to see you moving out of your comfort zone and I look forward to seeing what you do with this one. Later-
