I really like the build. The real cars were very nice on the highway. I don't remember the tail lights being like that. I had thought the red lens encircled the middle part which was black. Was this special for Police versions?

Ever since I read "They call Me Mr. 500" back in high school, I've been a fan. Interesting career with Studebaker, STP, the Novi cars and the Turbine racer. I was from Milwaukee and he was from Chicago. When I lived in Santa Barbara, I did not realize he lived there. Awesome. He was always entrepreneurial since his teen years starting a moving company with friends and an old Buick sedan from the twenties I think.

What ever the compressor you choose, make sure it has a moisture trap in the line. That is the small clear cylinder attached to the tank. You can by them separately. You being in a humid part of the states, I would highly recommend it.

Do the beacons in the AMT 70 Ford Police car have what you need? I know they depict a twin set up on a rack, but could be separated.

I have seen where someone has some very thin vinyl in almost any color. You could replicate your Grand Sport stripes with that. I'd call around to folks who do wraps on real cars and ask for scrap that they may have. You would then have to cut it yourself with a sharp X-acto knife. I've seen this done on a model car of a Trans Am Bandit replica and it was quite convincing.

I am building a 2000GT-B (S54B) Skyline from Fujimi. The car body is molded in white and is quite shiny because Fujimi polished their molds very nicely. I am thinking of leaving it as is. It has all separate chrome trim on doors, handles, mirrors et cetera. The trim around the windows needs to be bare metaled. Will it stick to the unpainted plastic? This car is being used to populate a Japanese style auto transport trailer for a NNL coming up in April. It doesn't need to be super detailed with paint on the body as it will be on trailer at the NNL, although it might be displayed in my cabinet along side it. The premise is a truck owned by a seller of vintage cars in Japan, and this is a way of collecting and delivering cars to customers.

First, ashcan the kit chassis. I would think perhaps a modified Mustang II chassis would bring this car down for you. The Mustang II had a short wheelbase and it might fit under the J. Other chassis choices might be a Pinto, or one of the Pontiac J2000 pro street kits.

I saw that flick the other day, but I can't remember what the vehicle was and no amount of googling is finding it for me. I was thinking a Dodge.

I am thinking you are speaking of a hybrid like a Prius type car? If you are near a Chevy or Toyota dealership, the techs there might be able to help you. Chevy has hybrid trucks like the Silverado and Tahoe. Ford, Kia, Honda, Hyundai all have Hybrids. Might try Schweiters Chevy or Mills Ford Or Mills Toyota. I can see you are really in a very isolated part of the state. Sorry about the flip response you got from someone.

You do a very good job building the cars. I noticed the 65. Any chance of doing any Brazilian market Fords. I have a friend here with a 66 galaxie and he put Brazilian tail lamp lenses on his. Same shape but different design elelments.

Don't they make this available already? I think some of the street rod suppliers have such things. Our company could make a one off piece, but the cost would be "up there"

Palmer kits when I was young. Even as a 9 year old, I knew they sucked. I think as an adult building, I think it would be the Linberg/Airfix Trans Am kammback Wagon. I was modding it to use an earlier 1970 nose and that in and of itself is not a problem. Somewhere I got the idea the rear bumper/tail light assembly could be improved upon. I cut the rear up and then decided what I wanted to do could not be done in the manner I wished. So it's sitting in the box waiting for me...watching me....calling my name...appearing in my nightmares at night....waiting....waiting....waiting....
