  1. Dang, I must have missed that. Too bad they couldn't have given it stock style wheels, but I guess the ones it comes with are better than the DUBs in one of the other releases.
  2. Note that it doesn't say "new". I just checked the Revell site, and the kit number matches the one for the snap kit unfortunately. The kit that intrigues me is the Escalade, since they already sold an Escalade kit and this one is listed as new. The previous kit had the kit number of 2189 as well, so definitely not the same kit. Plus, it's most likely not a snap kit since those seem to have 1000 series kit numbers.
  3. I would say that the term "overpriced" wouldn't apply here, since it was listed at $200 and was only bid up this high. Granted, if there is a reserve that hasn't been met yet ( I can't remember how ebay displays that there is one), then it would be overpriced.
  4. My favorite drivetrain is a supercharged V8 with manual transmission. Why does this matter you ask? Well because my favorite vehicle features a turbocharged V6 with auto transmission. What car is that? Why the 1987 Buick GNX of course! *To clarify, I did not own one (unsurprisingly), but rather I would love to own one, or at least a clone.
  5. It's too bad that the Scout II isn't one of those subjects where a new tool with more pieces and more detail is a consideration. It's one of my favorite off-road vehicles and the AMT kit doesn't do it justice, especially under the hood.
  6. Just thought of another set of decals to have, how about a set for the 2nd generation Dodge Ram? I'm thinking the various engine and model callouts (1500, 2500, 3500) along with decals for the various trim levels and packages (especially the sport package and SS/T packages). It sucks that there weren't many kits released of the 2nd gen, but combining the full-detail Revell kit and snap AMT kits can yield most of the cab and bed configurations.
  7. Yeah, I was certainly disappointed when I saw the kit for the first time and realized how simplified it was!
  8. Depending on how accurate you wanted to be, I would suggest just using some of the tires from Fireball (such as the Mud King XTs) and getting some white letter decals that have the correct naming.
  9. Just looked through his sold listings, looks like most that were sold were much better quality than the ones pictured here. I wonder if they were all obtained in “collections” and he’s just selling them off. A better question is who is paying full kit prices for some of the built kits though? Some looked bad enough where I would rather pay $20 more for an inbuilt kit and have a bunch of good extra parts.
  10. I like everything I'm seeing so far!
  11. Hey, I have the Italeri "U.S. Wrecker Truck" that I plan on rebuilding eventually, and would like to see how other people have built any big rig wreckers to get some ideas for my build!
  12. Oh, and if you haven't come across them already, here are a couple pages which show the various decal packages for the '73-'87 trucks over the years that would help you out! https://autowise.com/all-of-73-87-chevy-and-gmc-special-edition-pickup-trucks-part-i/ https://autowise.com/all-of-73-87-chevy-and-gmc-special-edition-pickup-trucks-part-ii/
  13. That would be sweet to see! And I'm loving what I'm seeing from you so far, especially these three (I love building pickup kits!) Agreed 100%!
  14. Looks like he only did the Nite logos, not the body stripes.
  15. One suggestion I have is the Desert Fox decals available for the GMC Jimmy and pickups in the late 70's. They would especially be great for the recently re-re-released Revell GMC Pickup kit.
  16. A while back I built a Nite F150 using the AMT shortbox kit and just printed my own decals. They didn't turn out that great in person though because I used sticker paper rather than waterslide-decal paper. As far as I know though, no one sells them that I have seen.
  17. It's just too bad I can't go down to my local dealer with my camera and sketchpad to get more information!
  18. Looks nice so far! The color is very 90's!
  19. Love it! Paint job looks amazing! I've seen issues with the roof not fitting correctly on a couple other builds as well, is it an issue with the windshield frame or with the roof itself?
  20. I'm probably going to just extend the date seeing as there hasn't been much done yet, especially for myself!
  21. Unfortunately they are fake made up markings, for their Jeep kit they removed the sidewall markings.
  22. What color are you thinking of going with?
  23. Nice! They heard my cries for the return of the 90's AMT/ERTL kits!
  24. 29, almost 30, been building since second grade!
  25. Didn’t realize factory cars weren’t their foray. Oh well, would be nice if Aoshima or Tamiya made one then!
