  1. The “fun” part will be correcting the body to look accurate to the 1:1!
  2. I will be building the Doyusha 1/12 Mustang as a pro touring build, using parts from the 1/12 GT500 kit and some 3D printed wheels.
  3. That should work for me, I’m in then!
  4. I would say the Revell ‘70 Mach 1, you could maybe also get the new 1969 boss 302 kit and get some aftermarket decals.
  5. Lucky to find one for only $100! I bought mine for closer to $250 I think (granted I bought a 1/12 Mercedes AMG SLC kit for only $75 when they have been going on ebay for between $2-300.) It will be interesting to paint but I'll be buying auto paint in a spray can to paint it.
  6. I might have interest, depending on the time frame. I have a 1/12 Mach 1 that is waiting to be built!
  7. Dang, I was hoping it was this 8c!
  8. If he has in fact stopped making them, it's too bad he couldn't hand them over to Joseph at Fireball since he makes some excellent tires and Alan had quite a nice selection of truck/off road tires. Granted there is Scenes Unlimited as well.
  9. I agree that this is a fantastic forum, and is one of the few I've seen (US based at least) that has quite consistent posting numbers. I will come right out and say that the Scale Auto Magazine forums are very poorly laid out/designed and lately, seem to be slowing down as far as new content. I think that making this forum paid only will severely reduce the member numbers, what with Facebook and such. I agree that it would perhaps be in Gregg's best interests to do as some others have said and make a paid area with the content that would be found in the print magazine, and then drop the print version. At the GTPlanet forums (for the Gran Turismo racing game series), they have a separate locked section specifically for premium (paid) members. If people are paying for an item, more specifically one that is subscription based and has an expected schedule, then it is fair for them to question the frequency and arrival conditions of said item. Myself, I stopped subscribing to magazines a few years back because they just took up space and usually had info that was already out of date and/or could be found online.
  10. They should have used a Porsche V8, so that way it would sound the same as it did in BTTF!
  11. Nice to see a kit of a new SUV subject! Despite claiming to be "no glue", it has a nice amount of detail. The only minus is having the door panels and seat bottoms molded to the interior tub.
  12. Good to know, I’ve meaning to pick one up!
  13. Anyone see this at Hobby Lobby or Michaels yet?
  14. Looks good! I will remind you and others that this stripe scheme was only on the black Broncos and the white portion should be silver, there were also versions for a red body (black and silver stripes), a silver body (red and black stripes), and a blue body (medium blue and light blue stripes). Like I had mentioned before, it would be cool if you would offer longer versions and in the other color schemes so an F150 XLS flareside, short-wide, and long-wide could be made!
  15. I’ll be watching this, I love these kits! Are you thinking of using the kit tires or something better?
  16. Yeah, the Tacoma or 4 Runner TRD Pro would be cool to see in scale!
  17. With Meng covering the American market for trucks, I agree that Tamiya should come out with more rest-of-world truck and SUV kits.
  18. Where did you find this out at? Do you have the exact message that you could post here? I'm curious what is all entailed since I like to 3d print parts for myself.
  19. I also have one of the 1/16 Chevy Truck kits and luckily the tires for that kit don't have any issues either.
  20. @Casey The tires are all intact and seem to not have any issues.
  21. Bringing this one back up to the bench. I also restored the existing pictures after the whole Photobucket fiasco. I've decided to change my direction slightly. I still plan on running the Chevy 350 TPI, but it will be more of a stock build of a CJ-7 Renegade with a few upgrades (engine, bumpers). Here is the paint scheme that I would like to go for:
  22. Yup, the biggest visual difference would be the interior!
  23. Oof, I wonder how that got past QC? Though does anyone know if the flare side tailgate was on the same sprue or a different one than the regular bed tailgate?
