  1. Hmm, red car with silver parts in the blue packaging, and silver car with red parts in the red packaging.
  2. With this one, it's like they pulled someone off the street that had used Photoshop a couple of times. "You know what's missing? A dog!"
  3. I see they’re reissuing the 1/16 Vw Beetle, seems a bit soon for that! I also see that they’re bringing back out the 1997 F150 kit, hopefully it’s the regular cab version this time!
  4. Yup, Geo's were simply just rebadged vehicles from other companies. Prizm was a Toyota Corolla, Tracker was a Suzuki Sidekick, Storm was an Isuzu Impulse, and Metro was a Suzuki Swift.
  5. I did something similar, though I used Pegasus IROC wheels and painted the centers white. No pics though since I haven't had a chance to re-upload them yet,
  6. I won't put my hopes up at all, but I would love to see something built in the last 20 years that isn't a Camaro/Challenger/Mustang.
  7. I don't think I've seen this posted here yet.
  8. So on the pricier side, but if the kit is as good as the other two, then totally reasonable IMO. I'm just excited to see what all the parts look like and how well it goes together.
  9. Go to the top right corner of the screen where your profile picture/name are and click the dropdown arrow next to it. Under that, there should be an option for "ignored users". Go there, and enter the name you would like ignored.
  10. I know the Pink Poison version did not have a chrome tree in it.
  11. Yup there was. I'm sure back then there weren't very many limitations on the color combos! http://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/ford/76bro/bilder/3.jpg
  12. I've come to only use Sharpies to color in light lenses, because with a few applications you can get a good depth, and the fine point is much easier than a brush and jar paint. I find that 3 layers (let dry between each layer) is generally sufficient. I also find that for the amber lights, to use one layer of yellow first followed by two layers of orange.
  13. So even though they openly offered a free plan for people that was good enough for many, people are suddenly cheap because they didn't want to pay for a plan? Why would I have purchased a plan when the free account did everything I needed and nothing else?
  14. No, this was a site where he sold mainly out of production kits. Basically Model Roundup, but with reasonable prices.
  15. Interesting idea! Though I have to ask, why did you go with the '69 kit over the '68 kit when your dad's is a '68 (or possibly '67 with some mods)?
  16. Yeah, it's been a while since I've played Gran Turismo so I forgot what the Japanese name was.
  17. Isuzu I-Mark, wonder why they went with the sedan over the 3-door hatch?
  18. Besides, you could simply cut off the piece over the hood and either make it hinge around the tube or leave it off completely.
  19. Most forums that I've been to that involve a physical item have some sort of selling section, so I don't see why here can't be any different. Besides, why can't the forum and its moderators just say that the people involved are on their own and the forum is not responsible for any issues? Just use the "good traders" section as a reference.
  20. I'm liking what I'm seeing from Meng in regards to their aftermarket parts. It's just too bad that they're so expensive.
  21. Do you have a link? I'm not seeing anything for it anywhere, other than a photo-etch set and the 3rd party dually conversion.
  22. I really wish Revell would at least try on a new truck kit. Make it a 4WD Ecoboost F150 to be of the most popular configuration, and throw a few bits in for a 2n1 kit. Then down the road, release it again as a different 2n1 kit. If it doesn't sell well, then they can go back to selling repop oldies. What can I say though, I was born in the late 80's and while I find old cars cool, I just don't find models of them as fun to build as more modern subjects. Most of my 1/24 and 1/25 kits are of subjects 1980's and newer. Guess that's why I'm drawn more to the Japanese companies lately!
  23. Which was already 5 years old at the time of release. I'm not complaining, it's a nice kit and I bought 2. It would be nice to see a within-the-past-year pickup kit from Revell, that's not a snap kit.
  24. Never again would I build this kit. Poor fitment and flash for days.
  25. I think use the Fujimi wheels, paint them satin black, and hit some of the bolt heads with silver. They will be close enough for what you're trying to accomplish.
