Found an alternative solution
Jordan White replied to Iroc crazy's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
There is a guy on ebay who occasionally had 1/12 Yenko decals for sale, but lately I've only seen black or red. I wanted white too, thus why I'm printing my own. -

I'm in the process of building a 1/12 Yenko myself. I'm using the engine and transmission from the 1967 Corvette, the Goodyear Eagle tires from the 3n1 kit, American Racing TTD-style wheels I designed and 3D printed, and a photoetch set for the emblems. The decals I'm drawing up myself and am going to print out. -
Ah, well that may be it then, the tire profile does vaguely resemble the Ground Hawgs. Actually, it looks like they just took the High Roller box cover photo and changed the body to a camo paintjob.

For those who haven't seen the post in the auto news section, here's the flyer for Revell's 4th Quarter of this year. Nice to see the Honcho again since the ebay kits were getting pricy! It appears that the GMC is the High Roller kit, probably just with new decals.

Nice to see the Olds FE3X bodykit finally! I'm also interested in the 442 version as well. Glad to see the Jeep Honcho kit rereleased again, especially with the old-school snowmobile. The GMC appears to be the plow truck kit again, but presumably with no plow in the box, maybe a lift kit, and some larger tires (which ones though?). As for the Bronco, I'm interested to see what they've included besides obviously the wheel flares.

I would love to see the AMT/Ertl 90's Chevy and Ford pickups rereleased!

So a little over $150 US! I am also curious though as to what is offered in the kit as far as parts count and detail parts. -

I personally think it looks better with the plain steel wheels! -
I believe there actually are plenty of modern vehicles that would be great in kit form. We need more trucks for one, and Meng brought a great first kit to the table (granted it was of a 5-year old subject, but the most modern sold to date), however the cost is steep so it may not have sold that well. Other good subjects are the current hot hatches, some of the SUVs (Wrangler JK/JL anyone?), any the full-size vans (Sprinter, Transit, Express/Savanna), and of course some of the recent luxury offerings. They just need to use vehicles that have the potential to be released a few times with different parts and decals.

Well unless the hackers went in and changed their terms of service on the website, I'm guessing it's legit stupidity.

When I was looking at built examples of the Revell Bass Boat the other day, I was wondering why there weren't more modern pleasure boat kits? I think the most recent was the jetski found with the custom Silverado kit, and it was a nicely detailed piece (the trailer on the other hand left something to be desired!) They don't even need to go with the larger cabin cruisers either, there are plenty of smaller boats that would only need maybe 50 parts (including trailer) max, many less than that. Plus, like the car kits, if they are desperate they can easily re-release the kits with new decals and maybe a few different parts/accessories.

I'm the same way in that all my pictures are on my hard drive, and I only used the site to host pictures to post online. However, there are always situations that may arrise where people need to host pictures that they don't have easy access to elsewhere. In any case, the pricing structure (along with what is allowed at each "level") is ludicrous. Coupled with their increasing reliance on crappy ads, I see no need to stay.

I like what I'm seeing so far!
-
Thanks! Didn't show everything, but certainly a good selection!

Dang! I didn't get to go this year due to other plans that weekend and was hoping someone would have pics so I could see what I missed!

Anyone get any pictures from the NNL North show a couple weeks ago?
-
Wish I had known about this last summer when I gave away a bunch of my diecasts on Craigslist, including this one (out of box though) since I figured I wouldn't get any good money for them.

Fireball Modelworks is selling the flares, I purchased a set and they are nicely cast. -
Very nice! The weathering is amazing! I'm hoping to pick up the paint tomorrow so I can get the body painted on mine!
-
Very nice, as usual! Is there any chance you could assemble your entire fleet for a picture?
-
It could have been a good option back when it was released, but as of now the newest model is 10 years old, and I don't think they would create a kit of a 10 year old econocar when they make only a handful of new kits a year. The only version I could potentially see even being considered would be the 2006-2007 V8 SS.
-
That turned out very nice! It looks like the real thing! Amazing how it still looks tiny next to the real car!
-
I like that technique, it looks great! I don't have any pictures at the moment, but last night I did some more work on my build with getting the interior tub pieced together. Essentially, I used the majority of the Revell interior for the front seat area, and the seat-area back from the AMT interior for the rear portion. For the seats though, I'm using the AMT seat for the front seat since it's more detailed and slightly larger, while the Revell seat will be used for the back seat since the cushion is shorter.

q about 99 chevy conversion
Jordan White replied to jeffdeoranut's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The easiest way would be to use pieces from another bed, and reinforce the sidewalls from the back side. You will need to add approximately 9/16" ahead of the rear wheels, and 1/4" behind the rear wheels.
