What to build?
Jordan White replied to Jordan White's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I generally have two ways I go about a build, I either buy a kit to make a specific build, or I buy a kit because I like the subject. The latter option is where I find I tend to go back and forth quite a bit on what I want to do, since I want to do the kit justice (especially if it's a rare or hard to find kit). -

Lucky you! 😆 -
Anyone else here have a kit they absolutely want to build, but can’t seem to decide which way to build it?

The Future of Revell...for 2024 at least.

Good to see they at least brought back the Goodyear Eagle GT tires in this issue, and that they have white-letter tire decals included! The expanded decal sheet is nice (I know this is the ROG version, so I'm hoping the US release has all of them besides the plates as well). However, I wonder why they didn't include black rally stripes? -
Wheels/tires, grille, flares, and I think bumpers are the major items.

Maybe it’s just me, but could we move this HPI Guy discussion to its own thread? I keep coming in here thinking theres discussion about the kit itself and instead being disappointed!

This is going to make the Otaki/Doyusha kit look like an ancient Revell kit! ? -

I would love to see the Heritage edition next, but they would need to mold different fenders for the body. -
Charger Hellcat is the most interesting for me!

There are a couple of the cooler models that only come in the 4-door bodystyle (Everglades and Raptor come to mind). -

It might depend on if there is a 2-door version of the vehicle also, but it seems like the current Charger kit is selling well. -

I did buy one because I do enjoy building some more modern truck/SUV subjects offered (bought one of each Meng kit when they came out). It's weird that they haven't been selling well though, at least at that shop! -

Any new info on the Moebius '67/'68 Chevy pickups?
Jordan White replied to Can-Con's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Oh I figured it would be a while out if it were being considered. Luckily with how they are making their Ford kits relatively compatible with each other, it shouldn't take much to make the different variants once they have the initial bodies made. -

I mean there's other things if you wanted more. Tiniest NP-205 I've seen in a kit, poor interior floor-to-body fitment, poor hinging of the rear window, so-so wheels, poorly molded tires, shallow details on the door panels/trim panels, axles are not that great, plus what @Robberbaron just said. Can I make it better? Sure, but why should I? I love the 1:1, but after building the kit I have no interest in getting more of the AMT version. -

Besides the metal axles and poor wheelbacks, trying to get the body, tailgate, and interior to all stay together is a challenge. The engine bay is also fairly sparse. Edit: plus having modern tooling and Moebius' excellent part locating tabs/pins would also be welcome. -

It would be so cool if they also eventually do a Blazer version, since the AMT kit leaves a lot to be desired! -

So I know that there's the Heritage edition and the Everglades editions that use different fenders and flares to the regular Broncos (not to mention the Raptor, but that's a 4-door). Are there plans in the works to mold different bodies, or are the future kits going to all be based off the current body?
