Actually, according to my 1992 Consumer Guide, the 2WD model was available with the Sport package, along with the Silverado trim (a $2000 option over base price). It also came with body color bumpers and grille. Yours looks good however, and the with the wheels you can say it has the Sport Handling package.

Yeah a truck might be a bit tougher to do, though if you're not too worried about scale, you could find one of the old 1/20 Lindberg Nissan pickup kits. Here's my 3dr:

If you don't know what a Pro Touring car is, then here's a quick rundown: It's an older car that has been updated with newer drivetrain, suspension, and wheels/tires. It is made to drive fast, as well as handle very well. Basically, what's your opinion on this "genre" of vehicle? At first I thought they were pretty ugly compared to the same car with stock sized rolling stock. But then I started reading Popular Hot Rodding, where they feature this style quite a bit, and I changed my mind since there are some examples which really look amazing. I love the monochromatic paint schemes and subtle changes/additions that really make each car unique. I'm actually planning on building a 1/12 1971 Mustang in the Pro Touring style, with the drivetrain and interior from the 1/12 GT500 kit. Here's one that I find looks awesome, yet clean and subtle at the same time.

I have the kit, and I believe the wheel/tire combo picked out, just a matter of determining the color and whatever other items I want to add to it.

Great build! Of course, the real truck would have had body colored bumpers. Plowboy: They actually did, I believe in '92 they offered red and white as additional colors to the original black. I have a build on the backburner of a red version.

I'm sure it will be molded in white like every other current release of Revell's. I'd bet money that it's just a re-release of the older kit, with new custom wheels and tires, decals, and nameless stock tires.

I'd be interested in this if it were to begin, have one of the Econoline kits available for just such a build.

I think the worst thing is when people do prequels that include objects (vehicles in this case) that are newer than the older movie that proceeds it in the timeline.

I mentioned it elsewhere, but you could use the 5-speed out of the AMT C1500 kits, since they're close to what was offered in the Wranglers.

From what I've seen, you don't usually have exposed, unsmoothed Bondo. Generally people will use it, smooth it out, then just primer over it. Otherwise, it's looking like some good weathering so far!

I mentioned it elsewhere, but it would have been nice if AMT would have made a glue version of the Tahoe they released. There would have then been a 4WD setup, grille, interior, and engine that could have been used in their pickup kits to make 4wd and newer versions of the truck.

Honestly, I think it would be kinda cool if one of the companies built a scale kit of the 80's turbo Caravan.

What tires are you using, are they the ones from the GT500 or something else?

Yeah I've seen 6, I was just correcting you on saying that 7 will be sixth in the series timeline.

Technically it would be 7th in the timeline (though it depends whether the events take place during or after the latter half of Tokyo Drift).

I was gonna post last night, but the forum decided to die again haha... If my eyes are correct, those look like the wheels from the '99 F-150 Lightning kit. I'm liking the stance so far though!

Doing a quick Google search, I've learned a few things. 1) Orange car in first post is the Foose designed Camaro for Unique Performance, the one for Year One is yellow and dark gray. 2) Unless Revell decides to tool up the RS grille, it will probably more than likely be like the black Camaro posted. 3) It will be yet another kit of just added wheels/tires, and probably decals. The real orange Camaro has a big block engine, and I'm sure Revell won't want to add the big block from the Corvette kit, even though it is a popular swap that I've seen on several builds. The only thing I'm hoping for is the removal of the tunnel ram and an addition of some sort of fuel injection setup.

I've been doing plenty of research into larger diameter wheels and tires for a 1/12 kit. What I found that I'm going to use on my 1/12 Doyusha Mustang is a set of resin Cragar wheels made for the GT500 kit, along with a set of HPI R/C tires that scale out to be around 19" wheels and roughly 26" tires. If they do plan on the larger wheels and tires for the Camaro kit, I hope that they make them as "see through" wheels with available 4-wheel disc brakes.

I wish they would have released this as a full detail kit as well. They could have used parts from the C1500 kits, though of course with the newer grille interior (plus with a 4WD system, so people could convert the 1500 kit to a 4WD as well).

You could use one out of the chevy c1500 trucks if you're looking for a manual.
