  1. Honestly, I think it would be kinda cool if one of the companies built a scale kit of the 80's turbo Caravan.
  2. Yup, looked into 1/10 and they were all too large.
  3. What tires are you using, are they the ones from the GT500 or something else?
  4. Yeah I've seen 6, I was just correcting you on saying that 7 will be sixth in the series timeline.
  5. Technically it would be 7th in the timeline (though it depends whether the events take place during or after the latter half of Tokyo Drift).
  6. I was gonna post last night, but the forum decided to die again haha... If my eyes are correct, those look like the wheels from the '99 F-150 Lightning kit. I'm liking the stance so far though!
  7. Doing a quick Google search, I've learned a few things. 1) Orange car in first post is the Foose designed Camaro for Unique Performance, the one for Year One is yellow and dark gray. 2) Unless Revell decides to tool up the RS grille, it will probably more than likely be like the black Camaro posted. 3) It will be yet another kit of just added wheels/tires, and probably decals. The real orange Camaro has a big block engine, and I'm sure Revell won't want to add the big block from the Corvette kit, even though it is a popular swap that I've seen on several builds. The only thing I'm hoping for is the removal of the tunnel ram and an addition of some sort of fuel injection setup.
  8. I've been doing plenty of research into larger diameter wheels and tires for a 1/12 kit. What I found that I'm going to use on my 1/12 Doyusha Mustang is a set of resin Cragar wheels made for the GT500 kit, along with a set of HPI R/C tires that scale out to be around 19" wheels and roughly 26" tires. If they do plan on the larger wheels and tires for the Camaro kit, I hope that they make them as "see through" wheels with available 4-wheel disc brakes.
  9. I wish they would have released this as a full detail kit as well. They could have used parts from the C1500 kits, though of course with the newer grille interior (plus with a 4WD system, so people could convert the 1500 kit to a 4WD as well).
  10. You could use one out of the chevy c1500 trucks if you're looking for a manual.
  11. Eh, as always it's one of those deals where "someone will buy it". If you're looking for cheaper parts, then place a wanted post on the forum here.
  12. Dunno about everyone else, but that's my favorite time period for custom cars and trucks. I love the monochrome look, the bright colors, and the billet/body color wheels. Yours is a great example of that time period!
  13. Separation of subjects is not a bad thing. If everything was thrown into one area, like at the Fine Scale Modeler forums, then topics get posted quickly enough where many topics get swept off the front page in a matter of an hour or so. There are people who won't look past the first page, and people who will complain that their topic isn't on the first page (or will continually bump it up so it will be). Sure you could do the "view new content" button, but it's a pain to have to press it every time you finish reading a topic. Also, if you're like me and interesting in mainly just trucks/SUVs, or big boyz, or another topic, then it's nice having them separate. Yes, people will say "well why not look at everything!?" to which I say, I don't want to. Some stuff just is not interesting to me, like race cars and drag cars. Sure I'll look at them at shows, but you can appreciate them better in person. I do sort of agree that it is odd having the general area right at the top, but it's a popular area so I can see why it is there. It is preferable to have it that way, however if people would be smart about how they create their titles, then this wouldn't be necessary. If it's a wanted request, put WANTED along with a specific item (or generalized items if there's more than one) so people know without having to open the thread. If it's something to trade, and it's more than one kit (put in title), than say that there are multiple kits (most people seem to already).
  14. At least I know how to spell "constantly" correctly.
  15. Haha of course, though it certainly won't be built stock!
  16. Woo! Just received my 1/12 Doyusha Mustang Mach 1! (Mouse added for visual scale)
  17. Looking good so far! I'll probably start on mine soon, I'm basically just trying to figure out the wheel and tire combo I want to use.
  18. This is a valid point. I just figured that most people have a favorite that they like to build in, for one reason or another (that's not to say it's the only scale they build in).
  19. Here's some pics of how the engine and trans fit in the subframe (before it was wired).
  20. Thanks guys! The exhaust was easy for the most part, since it was kit parts (namely the muffler/tips, and the pipe going to the forward manifold). The toughest part was creating the pipe section between the rear manifold and the muffler.
  21. Yeah I thought it would look good against the red.
  22. I built this model for the Cannonball Run build, so it has more power and fuel capacity over the basic car (along with a V8 swap of course). Specs: -Chevy 350 V8 with 4-bbl carb making around 300hp -Stock 4-speed manual -Uprated sway bars and shocks -Extra 15 gallon fuel tank in place of rear storage space -Nismo 17 wheels and high-performance tires -Custom paint job of Ford Merlot Red metallic and gold accents
  23. Build completed! Posted in under glass.
  24. Well I was on a building spree lately and was able to complete my build! Specs: -Chevy 350 V8 with 4-bbl carb making around 300hp -Stock 4-speed manual -Uprated sway bars and shocks -Extra 15 gallon fuel tank in place of rear storage space -Nismo 17 wheels and high-performance tires -Custom paint job of Ford Merlot Red metallic and gold accents
  25. I love it! Where did you get the tires from?
