  1. Unfortunately no. There haven't been any kits of new pickups for about a decade now. You may be able to find a diecast model, but not a plastic kit.
  2. What you can't really see in the pictures is I also made a remote oil filter attachment for the engine, and you can see the hoses laying in the chassis next to the engine. The oil filter gets mounted on the radiator core support. If you didn't know already, it was like this from factory since the front differential and driveshaft used the space normally used by the oil filter on the engine, since the truck was so low.
  3. Yup, I believe you're thinking of the article that Car and Driver did. I'm also a fan of the boxy S-10s/Blazers, especially the S-10 Baja and Blazer High Country.
  4. Got some more done this weekend. Completed interior: Practically completed chassis:
  5. Go Chrysler, slap a new front end on the Sebring and give it a new name.
  6. Get anywhere on this build?
  7. I've lately started using the Krylon Fusion made for plastic, and it hasn't messed up my kits at all.
  8. Eh it is better than what they called a Charger back in the 80's. Or a Challenger for that matter.
  9. When I built mine, I used I believe 3/8" square tubing with 1/8" thick sheet styrene for the sides.
  10. Gah, please use first names since I thought you were talking about me at first!
  11. Because things come up? What it sounds like is unless you can predict the future, don't post a WIP build. People lose interest, people get sick, people lose computer access, people lose the builds (natural disasters, breakage, etc.), and so on. I really don't see how your reasoning would work.
  12. Got started this weekend. Chassis painted and gas tank installed: 3/4 of the engine completed: Painted the spokes of the wheels white: Wheels with disc brakes I also got the body kit glued on the body, and I've been modifying the exhaust manifold where the turbo attaches, since on the 1:1 it has a square attachment whereas the kit has a round attachment to the wrong style manifold.
  13. That's all I'll say about that! As far as the topic on hand, I disagree. People are posting their works in progress to show what they have done so far at their pace. You are making it sound like people are just doing it at the whim of others, like everything has to be done at your pace or else there's no point in viewing it. Heck, what's the point in even having a WIP section if it isn't updated as the progress is. Plus, you would lose valuable advice along the way that could improve your build.
  14. No, a little orange peel is appropriate for this build! (Just messin with ya Nick!) I still think that it would look better with a body color bed and stake sides, but otherwise it's a fine looking truck!
  15. Haha yeah, it's been a while! My Chevy stepside sort of stalled out and is yet to be finished, but I did build a similar hitch for my Ford Dually build.
  16. Finally got my kit and wheels to start this build! Plans are basically to build it factory stock with a set of Camaro IROC wheels. I'll be straying away from stock in two spots (besides the wheels of course ) : I'll be fabricating a custom ram-air intake and the body will be painted a bright red, similar to the Marlboro version (though I will be using the Marlboro-based side and hood decals.)
  17. GMC Syclone, disk brakes and Pegasus IROCs.
  18. Pepper Mint quality! I mean...uhh...

Very slick! Love the color and the detail is excellent! If you want the pictures to show up here, just take those links and post them like this: [im g]http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e79/designsbydercock/Derricks%20Cars/tt6.jpg (Remove the space between the IM and G.) And you get:
  20. Oh that's nothing. It's just a site called "Let Me Google That for You" http://lmgtfy.com/ You put in what it is they are searching for, and it provides you with a link for them.
  21. If you felt like doing a little scratchwork, you could take 2 of those Pegasus wheels, and cut out the centers. Then you can trim them up a bit and move them towards the center to give yourself a deep dish look.
  22. PFD could be anything. How would we have ever guessed Alaska PFD? I agree though, money is nice to have! Edit: Harry, your line reminds me of a quote from South Park: Randy Marsh: Stan! Stan Marsh: What? Randy Marsh: You've been on your computer all weekend. Shouldn't you go out and socialize with your friends? Stan Marsh: I am socializing r-tard! I'm logged on to an MMORPG, with people from all over the world and getting XP with my party using teamspeak. [pause] Randy Marsh: [hurt] I'm not an r-tard.
