  1. nice project. To tell the truth, dog dishes came on many cars of this era. The cost of full hubcaps was enough to stop many. My Dad had a '65 Ford Galaxy he got at year end for the cost and had dog dishs on it. It was pretty well stripped for a Galaxy but had a Turquoise metallic paint that he couldn't delete for a cheaper solid. I think many Muscle Cars also had dog dish caps in the beginning reflecting cheap models they stuffed engines in to make a Muscle Car.
  2. Well, there IS a bar around here that sells mini-dogs!
  3. Has what you'd call character!
  4. I wonder if the engine would fit in a bug?
  5. Very nice .. especially a 2nd model! You must have spray painted other things before .. you paint looks very smooth. I'm liking your color choices also.
  6. I love seeing all the odd kits here! I haven't shown these that have come over the last 6 months, but The HUDSON came today! The '66 Fairlane and '65 Bonneville I got just to use hubcaps from each to make a set of '67 LaMans caps! The '56 Chevy will become my Uncle's car that I got my drivers license in. The Porsche 356 is a base for the 55 Speedster I want to build. I have the 356A Convertible also. What a magnificent engine! . and kit! The CheZoom I never had and a deal convinced me I'll have some use for the roof somewhere down the line. I always lover the roof chrome on the '56 Vicky. The Outlaw I had to have just because I had the original as a kid. The 2CV ... what CAN be said!
  7. So THAT'S where GM put all their unsold old cars and trucks! I WOULD buy this one too to park next to my Hudson.
  8. A 3" section and it now looks like a normal car . wow! Nice job!
  9. I have one in the mail right now, but I'll just be massaging the parts for now with the good stuff later ... if I ever get around to it. At this point, I don't know how I'll build it ... no one I knew had one. I just thank Moebius for giving me (us) the option.

  15. One option, if you can't get gold done, is to have it chromed and use a clear yellow or orange over it.

  17. Cool idea .. I like it.
  18. It's always to build something close to you like that .. and something different to boot! That sure is some good looking paint there ... nice decals too!
