  1. Thanks, Chris. The decals were just too transparent to show well, but it looks different at least.
  2. This a Subaru Sambar kit by Aoshima which is an incredibly detailed kit I wanted to build just to see it. It's a very small truck which you can see in the nose to nose shot with a VW Bus. My daughter has a dog care business called Love Us and Leave Us. It seemed to be just the right size for a pack of dogs, so I based the paint and decals on my daughters Subaru Outback she uses to take her dogs to the woods for a walk. The diorama for the truck was more fun making than the truck itself!
  3. This is my last mockup before going Under Glass! I had real trouble adding the driver side mirror, even with the brass pins I added, so I fed it to the Rottweiler ... too bad he got booted from the Pack for this viciousness. Paul was painted by my wife.
  4. I use Firefox and have been having the very slow thread load times for a long time. Today it feels like I got a new fast internet connection! A few did load slow, but not near a slow as before.
  5. Wow ... built since East?? beautiful!
  6. One of my favorite kits (subject and detail) and you did a wonderful job on it .. looking good!
  7. A bummer about the clear, but you are in pre-assembly! ... looking good!
  8. A real beauty you've built!
  9. I couldn't hold back and my Daughter saw this ... her response was ' ? ? ' ... I have her!
  10. The diorama is done ... it took as long as the arrival of spring here in the mountains! ... just some delicate last minute touch-ups and a top cut off on tree to fit cover.

    Two cammers

a couple more realistically built engines!
  12. That's a beautiful looking little hot rod!
  13. That's a real eye popper. Looks like it was worth the wait!
  14. Welcome to the forum.
  15. Everything about this, colors and build .. beautiful
  16. Ahh... that looks good. I'm putting a SHO in a '32 and this engine is where I was having troubles, totally my fault for trying to detail too much! I made those tiny spark plug square ends and attached the wires into the sides but they keep detaching and can't get them glued back in. It looks like you painted a black square and drilled the wires in. Maybe I should step back from below ..
  17. Making a diorama on it appropriate for the car to sit on again for display. .07 is pretty thick plastic but bound to have uses
  18. All coupes are my kind of car and this is gorgeous! Fantastic job on the conversion and build.
  19. That engine looks very real!
  20. That window molding looks very much to scale and I know it's tough doing it again. I have done the same many times and always feel great after. I keep looking at the hood sides ... those 3 simple strips just make it pop!
  21. It looks like you're expecting some long Vermont winters in the future ...
  22. Rat Rod inspiration!
