  1. 956 engine looks like a fun job. Don't forget to get the new torch out and lop off those bolts on the hub.
  2. Cool road this is going down
  3. the definition of plastic kit includes the word "build"
  4. Wow ... definitely a 'pre-owned' rod! I wish the best for the restoration. I like that you're not trying for pristine!
  5. Very cool, and yes ... details, details, details!
  6. I lost my 95 year old Mom yesterday too ... peace to all.
  7. I do thin the white glue about 50/50 with water
  8. This is a bit late, but on the way back from NNL East 3 years ago the van took a little beating ... had a blowout on the NY Thruway with run flat tires and had to get it towed to the Mini dealer in Albany. It did go the 50 miles flat, but I'll never get any run flats again ... can't buy any at tire dealers! The rear suspension and body to frame needed to be re-glued, not too bad really. It's now sitting proudly on my daughter's mantel.
  9. Yikes ... only you could see that, but I know what it's like replicating something you owned. At least, you got it registered.
  10. Everything is simply gorgeous but what always impresses me about your work is how clean your work area is!!
  11. grats, Jim and I heard the gold watches are now printed in one piece at Shapeways in gold and come out of the printer in working order!
  12. Looks great, but where's the gun rack? ... and VT plates? Simply beautiful as a working truck.
  13. It was all worth the work replicating one you owned! The same that drives me to keep working on my cars. All the details look great but that paint looks smooth as silk, even in the closeups!
  14. A beautiful model and those Fireball carbs look spectacular with your paint detailing! I rarely ask about paints, but what did you use on the carbs? And, any closer views of them?
  15. Very good tribute
  16. Came out looking wonderful!
  17. I always had manuals for they control the give, especially in the snow. And I just like driving a manual. They are getting scarce, but I have to say, the automatics ARE getting good at changing gears when I want them to. My current VW GTI has a dual clutch automatic and I can't remember one time over the last 2 years where it didn't change gears when I wanted it to. The dual clutch is smoother than anything I could do myself. It's all in the programming now and it's finally working well in many new cars. Too about the Dodges.
  18. I sure like trucks that work for a living ... looks fantastic!
  19. Nicely done ... a real eye popper!
  20. I'm really liking that side view!
  21. Your effort was sure worth it!
  22. Just beautiful!
  23. I'm enjoying watching you detail your build.
