  1. Some of these are way longer than what I thought was a long list. I keep track of mine with a Workbench thread here ... can't think of a better way.
  2. a definite cool build!
  3. This is interesting as it gives a broad selection of interests. All mine are somewhere in On The Workbench here and have never really made a list. And 99% are cars I've owned .. 1951 Plymouth Cranbrook 1959 Chevy Impala 1967 Triumph TR4A 1969 VW Bug 1967 Pontiac Tempest 1981 Porsche 924 Turbo 1984 Porsche 944 1991 Porsche 944 S2 2002 Infiniti G35 Coupe 2015 Mini Cooper S Countryman All4 and then other family members cars 1956 VW Kombi 1992 Crown Victoria 1995 Subaru Legacy Wagon
  4. I like the fender fattening ... nicely done.
  5. Beautiful replica ... you did it justice! I have two of my Dad's cars in the works, my favorite kind of build.
  6. Pretty cool. I'm sure you could have sold that in 1955!
  7. These are some beautiful pieces going into this!
  8. always use Krylon Flat Clear Acrylic to seal decal sheets. A couple light coats usually does it just right for every decal paper I've used, including Testors.
  9. I'm out in the wilds of Western Massachusetts and we still have an 'old time hobby shop' here that always has what I need in an emergency and when I'm in a kit buying mood. I don't even look at prices ... I'll support him to the end. He has been trying to retire and sell but it's been a few years and no takers yet. He is a small store but has die casts, RC, trains and many other hobbies covered. We are extremely fortunate to have a resource like this so close. 10. Been following all along and still stunned at how good it looks!
  11. That Mini's paint looks to die for! .. razor sharp reflections. I hope you start an On the Workbench thread so we can watch your build. The fact that this is one of yours make it even better!
  12. I chromed the rear bumper after smoothing the black waiting for Alclad. Then did the pen. The bumper flexed a lot making the application awkward. I'll probably reapply on top. I'll been fussing over the exposed interior with the door handles. These are some Parts Box exterior handles reconfigured for the interior. Just some filing for the button handle and a small rod on the end of another for the crank. Punched disks are the door handle faceplates.
  13. I could drive that!
  14. Yeah, I'm sure I saw it in a mag ... mine was done in 1962.
  15. That is a spectacular build! I can see all the attention to detail that just makes it all seem real without shouting in your face.
  16. Magnificent!
  17. This is a dark blue van with a ton of bumper sticker decals I made. I had to use white decal paper but they can even be read! The problem with white is trimming them. Most of these were straight edged but you can see the curved ones I had to trim. It's like Benard said, plan ahead and you can get around the see through character of these.
  18. cool ... I like the plywood camper, very appropriate!
  19. I really like that one .. good colors!
  20. Arlo still lives here in Washington on farm up in the hills. I used to see him where I stopped for morning brew.
  21. Who would have thought this body would be lurking under there completely untouched by that putty. What were you using to strip it? I like your ideas on restoring it.
  22. The roads are open in the Berkshires!
