You people really need to look it up on the web for photos, They did make a 69 Yenco Nova , And Chevelle,They also made them in 1970 It had a 350 in it and was called the Duece, I can't wait for this one to come out , So I can build a grocery getter out of it, Just swap the 350 out of the SS kit, And use the valve covers ,dechrome them, And use the air cleaner from the amt 72 Nova . That will look like a 307.

I was thinking LeMans Blue Or the Light Metallic Blue they used in '69 for the Chevelle 300, Wheels and Tires, I'd love to find the C.O.P.O Style ones that came on the Camaros , And Novas.

I pulled this one out today also, It's going to be a 69 Chevelle 300, The resin body is a Shawn Carpenter peice, The hood is the same as the one on the Light gold one I have in my last post. I'll be using the MCG Photoetch Set for the emblems on both of the cars.

Here is a project I pulled out over the weekend, I started 5 years ago, The Malibu Hood was mastered by me, And I had R&R make me 6 copys of them, The paint is the factory light gold ,with the silver accent at the bottom, I used no clear on the paint, It is hand rubbed automotive lacquer, Shot through an airbrush.

Here is how I use the Pastel Colors, First I seal the plastic with Tamiya White or Grey primer,Depending on how light the color is,Then after the Tamiya primer has gassed out for a day, I use the Duplicolor White or Gray Sandable primer,I let that gas out for the same amount of time,Then I go over the hood, body and other parts with 3200 grit sanding cloths, To smooth out the primer,And let it set for another day, Then the first few coats I mist on, Let it set up for about a half hour, After it is tacky to touch,I use my paint stand for that, I add 2 or 3 heavier coats , That will give you the desired coverage without any issues at all. This Yellow Dodge was painted with Krylon 'Butter Cream' A very close match,If not exact to Jasmine Yellow .

I got this in the mail today, A Mint 1971-73 MPC Dodge van grill to make my 74 One of those years,I'll probably make it a 1973 as thats the year I was born, The 74 Grill will go into my Street Connection 78 to make it the Tradesman ,Not the Sportsman ,The only difference in the grills is the Tradesman looks like the basic 74-78 style, The Sportsman has a square medallion in the center. The final cost for the grill was $3.99 with shipping off of e-bay, Heres some photos .

They are your typical almost toy like kits from the Japanese companys from that era, The Fury grill and taillights will fit into the AMT/MPC Monaco bodys with little effort, You just have to make the body fit the grill. Very easy to do. I just buy these kits for my Monaco Collection I have, Plus the art work on the newer boxes are great.

Any interest in a Chrysler Slant 6?
spkgibson replied to ian ashton's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
You have to do this Ian, I have a bunch of A-bodys missing the slant 6s, I would rather order a few from you then have to pay $18 for the Linberg kits just for the engines , Let me know when you have those ready. -
I have that same spray gun,It works great,But make sure to clean it out really good before using solid colors after metallics, I have had to take mine completely apart to do so,I made the mistake one time, And almost ruined a $1000 Guitar I was painting for someone.

That would be the 75/76 Fury Salon, I have 4 of them, And they look great! The 75/76 Monaco was the Full Size like the Blues Brothers 74, The last Full Size Monaco was made in 1977, They were called the Royal Monaco, The midsize was the one like the DOH kit, Those came in trim levels from base models all the way to the top of the line, Brougham, In 78 They made a 2-door called a Monaco SS , It was a package that had a special interior and tri tone stripes that followed the contours of the body lines at mid level. I have the 78 Brochure and on the second page it show the car in Jasmine Yellow.

Here is what I have been working on, A 77 Monaco in Light Moca Tan , With a 318 3-Speed I have the before and after shots for this one,As this is a $4 Built up that I stripped and had some body work to do, And here is the list of parts i'm using, the body and interior from the original car , the Chassis is from the red car in the first picture , And the 318 is the 340 out of the AMT 71 Duster kit, I have alot of work to do on the car still. The stock wheels are another set I bought from Missing Link on E-Bay,
