  1. The only thing the 70 Javelin shared with the 69 is the basic body, the hood, Grill and Rear bumper was different,Plus the interior was totally different, The AMX was produced on a 96 inch wheelbase as oppossed to the 108 inch Javelin, On the real cars the only thing that was interchangable was the doors,Trunk front fenders, the 68 and 69 look alot like the 70,but there alot of minor differences to set all three years apart,One thing that bugs me though,Is when alot of people make the mistake of saying the 68-70 AMX'S were Javelins, Not true the first "Javelin AMX was an option on the 71-74 models.
  2. Wow that is Nice! I love those old drag cars from the 70's!
  3. I personally think they did a good job on this one,The "flaws" Can be easily corrected, just mount the front bumper higher,Look guys at least we can now build one, I have seen some real junk come out in the past,This is a very hard car to master,And this is only the second Pontiac of this style I have ever seen done,The other was the 73 Grand Am the Juha Ario made , This in my oppinion is a great start to work with , My only complaint is I wish they spoiler wasn't molded to the trunk, So you could make a Lemans out of it,I will be putting this on the must have list!
  4. Hey I was out Dean's Hobby Stop when you bought that stuff,I was looking in his parts boxes,I Scored the Original DOH Rosco Police car,And the newer Joker Dodge and Another New edition of the DOH Police car,I'm Going out there today to pick up the TJ Hooker Dodge!
  5. That would be a 72 Demon! I have 3 of those from him!
  6. Here is 3 more projects in the works, A 70 Rebel SST,And a 76 Plymouth Fury and Dodge Coronet, I need to finish some of the ones in the back ground,But I'm trying to get as much painting done as I can before it gets cold here
  7. Well the local Hobbytown is going out of business ,So I went there today and bought 10 cans of Testors Lacquer Paint and another 68 Hemi Dart ,Total spent was $41 out the door,Now I need to find a new hobby shop close by I like the deal I got,But I sure am going to miss going there!
  8. That is very close to one of the colors AMC used back then,Some of those kits were molded in the same colors as the promos,I had the 66 Rambler Classis Station wagon that was molded in that exact color,It was made by X-El products back in the late 80's ,They were reissued promos! That would look great with the White accents as mentioned,As far as the main color,Clean it up and Clear Coat it with the testors high gloss lacquer,It wont affect the plastic,I have done it numerous times with no issues..
  9. So that is what that car is supposed to look like! That looks real!
  10. I got the new 68 "HEMI" Dart on friday,Nice kit inside,Looks like the wheel wells are going to be fun,They look all wrong to me where you have to cut them out,The rest of the kit is great,I found mine at Hobby Town 25% off!
  11. Nice comment,Did it take you all day to think that one up? Once again it just shows how much class you have? I'm assuming none from the comments you make about your suppossed fellow modelers , And maturity you have? Now I understand why you like to start trouble on here,I figured it out, You Want Attention, Thats it! Here is your 15 seconds of fame!
  12. i said it before and i'll say it again, time and time again the complaints over and over are ALWAYS about Reliable resin. hate me for speaking my mind all you want but there is no denying the fact that this happens over and over again RELIABLY! almost like clockwork how reliably a complaint will pop up on the forums over and over regarding this ONE resin caster. There wasn't any issues with the other post ,Untill you chimed it,We all get it Dave,You don't like Reliable Resin, And we are sick of hearing about it , Get off the soapbox,Put down the torch , And go build something! The time wasted doing this type of stuff is a waste of time.
  13. Oh here we go again,Trying to Hi Jack another thread, with some mindless rant,GO BUILD SOMETHING already and let it go!As far as the DUSTERS,The competition resin version is the MPC Body with the emblems and makerlights shaved off,The Reliable Resin version,Has the correct prostock wheel wells and the correct grill and taillights,Not Cloned from the Competition resin kit,Aren't All of the repops of old kits are cloned Once again give it a rest,Don't you think you have slandered him enough?
  14. And as far as me being disrepectfull to ANYONE on here,I respect everything all of these resin casters go through to get the product out to the customers,I know how to handle issues with people,As I am an extreemly reasonable person to deal with! You people out here bashing these casters are shooting yourself in the foot,Let them be,So we can continue to get the excellent products they offer!
  15. Matt I did not use your name did I ,Unlike others I have more class then that,All I wanted was 2 hoods ,I think 2 months is long enough to wait,So thank you for sending them to me.
  16. Well put Greg ,but I wasn't refering to Reliable Resin ,Every time I have dealt with him It has been positive,I was refering to another person on here that has had me waiting,But I'm not mentioning any names,As I feel its not needed to!I wouldn't do that like those other guys!I have been waiting 2 months for 2 resin hoods from that person,And if I don't see them in another week then,I might change my mind! You know who you are.
  17. I have had that problem before and did it elsewhere,This Forum isn't supposed to be a bash fest for some,Think about it for a minute,If the roles were reversed for a second,Say you are trying to promote a product,And someone chimes in with Nonsence that has nothing to do with the post at all,Keep in mind the more people that complain about certain resin caster,It is going to cost them sales,And eventually,It may cost them there business,And when the stuff is no longer around,Then people will be saying,I wish I could still get the Conversion Kits,Parts, wheels, ect. Some Food For Thought
  18. Understand completely what you are saying,I'm sick of it myself,These Resin casters are GOLD to the hobby,Yes there are some out there not to up to standards,But All of the subjects that are out there in amazing,But back to the attacks on ANYONE on here there is no reason for it at all ,Everyone I have bought from have been stand up people,In my oppinion,if you don't like the price, don't buy it,If you feel that you have an issue with the vender, then take it up with them through a PM off of here,Buy doing that the venders reputation isn't affected,Plus it can cause them to lose customers by doing so,To me that is affecting both the venders out there and our hobby.
  19. I have seen the kit in person,While I was at his shop visiting him,And it can be built into a nice car with some time,I would say go for it and buy one.
  20. I have read through the thread,And well lets cut him some slack,I am waiting on parts from another place,But I know I will get my stuff,If some of you understand what alot of these Companys have to deal with,Some are just maybe 1 or 2 people doing the masters, the molds, and casting the parts and kit,the cost of the Resin and Rubber to make the molds and parts ,isn't cheap,So just like any other company like,For example,AMT,They have to make some sort of profit,to invest the money into new stuff,Further more,If it wasn't for alot of the Newer guys out there doing this stuff,We would be stuck with buying from maybe the orignal 2 R&R And The Modelhaus,Be greatfull we have all of these guys making this stuff,I support everyone in the resn market!
  21. Well I was lazy on this one,I wanted to finish one up before I moved on friday,So here it is,The paint is Testors Classic White Lacquer, the rest is bare white plastic,The tires are from an old AMT annual,Have a look, and feel free to call me lazy!As the car took about 5 hours to build,3 of them was letting the paint dry.
  22. Well after almost a week of packing to move on friday I thought I would be able to finish this one up,Wrong,I still have more packing to do,So after I get moved ,I'll get back to work on this project and a couple other projects in my new hobby room,I Can't wait!So I'll keep everyone posted!
  23. Is this kit still available?I wouldn't mind building one of these,Some of the Old 70's foreign cars are quite appealing to me,This one especially to me,Looks like this is going to be a nice build.
  24. That paint looks beautiful!I love this car,Great work!
