  1. I owned the Toronado and the javelins at one time, Same kits as the Johan kits, I think the 68 Toronado was a Jo-han boxed up in the AMT box also, The MPC version of that kit was alittle off on the rear bumper,They did some strange things back in the 60's and early 70's, Johan,Amt and Mpc were all made here in Michigan, Untill the Johan went down south after 2 different owners,I heard, Just a rumor,That most of the Johan molds were either sold for scrap,Or dumped in the detriot river, When ertl bought amt and mpc in the mid 80's they moved out to Iowa, But from 1982 untill 1983 Amt was owned by Lesney from england, Those Matchbox Kits from that era are rare and very desirable ,I own the 76 Nova,And the 69 Cougar. Back on topic at hand, I think AMT and Johan shared the molds of those kits mentioned, I would love to get my hands on the 70'S AMX kits .
  2. For $27 plus shipping on the Yodel kit ,I couldn't help but bid on it, Excuse me , My wife bid on them both for me, She's trying to get me the whole collection of the yodel kits, The only ones i'm missing now is the CHP And the LACP Cars in this box art.The Dukes kit was warped ,But I fixed the body by putting some water in a container, Heated it up in the microwave for 5 minutes, Put the body in it for about 30 seconds, Then bent it back to shape, It looks perfect now.
  3. Very funny.
  4. Ok where did you buy it from? I have only seen those on e-bay ,THAT IS IT. Let see some photos ,And yes I did read your post.If your putting out false information about this, So A REAL resin caster won't make up a master of a totally accurate one, That is keeping us all from buying one, If it is ever done. I think I know ALOT more about this kind of stuff,As I have been doing master for people for over 3 years now. The one you are talking about is the Georgia Car, I seen it and its junk to me,Period!
  5. Nick no offence,I have seen the car you speak of on e-bay, And that has to be the worst representation of that car I have ever seen, It looks like a toy to me, Or one of the very crude Palmer Kits from the 60's and 70's, They were indeed sold on e-bay. If they have there own website then maybe thats where you got it,I don't know, I wouldn't waste my money on it, Nor would I encourage anyone else to do so. I would rather spend the money that would be wasted on that mess on the 1/18 Diecast 74 , That resin body doesn't have one accurate line on it. So don't waste your money on it, It makes frontier resins look like Modelhaus kits, Its that bad.
  6. The 76 Caprice is out? I'll have to pick 2 of those up. Nice haul!
  7. There were also a couple 72's thrown into the mix as well, They used all years from 71-74, the 71-72 versions being the Satellite Sebring, The others 73-74 Road Runners. You can tell the difference by the shades of yellow on the last 2, The 73's were Lemon Twist,And the 74 was Yellow blaze, They varied slightly on the shade, The yellow blaze had more of an orange tint then the lemon twist. The one pictured above is a 73'
  8. These Both came in the mail today, The Rosco police car is the original, The Yodel kit is mint inside, I love E-Bay sometimes.
  9. Yes Space I remember when you made both of those cars, The 73 Polara was made by someone else, You did one heck of a job on both of those Dodges!
  10. Yes it is, Someone on the other board made a 73 Polara out of a 70 Impala and a 77 Dodge Monaco, I wish I could remember who built it, But the car look great, I sent him a PM and asked if would do another for someone to cast in Resin, But he never got back with me on it,Someone else did a 74 , And did a decent job on it, I can't remember who made that one either, It may have been Space Cowboy, But he does so many cars its hard to keep track of. I think the 70 Impala would be a good starting point though,You could do that one Jeff I have seen your masters,And own alot of your stuff, And I'm very impressed with the quality of workmanship you do.
  11. I had seen them on e-bay in the past year, And they looked terrible, It was a very botched job to say the least, I hope someone does one that looks right, the one I seen was complete junk, and looked Nothing like the real car.
  12. Nice kits, Now you need at least 2 more of those Monaco kits, the building variations are endless. Missing Link has the factory stock wheel covers for those , I think they are $8 a set with shipping.
  13. Very cool looking car, I wish they made a model kit of it! I'd build a couple of them.
  14. What exactly is this car, And old Triumph or Vauxhall?
  15. Wrong Shade of Red Oxide Primer? Are you kidding me? I've heard of nit picking,But thats just way to funny, I better go have the paint shop custom mix the right shade for you and send it to you Mike. The car is looking great.
  16. Those kits are completely curbside, No engine detail to right home about,But the kit does have the best hubcaps for the MPC/AMT Dodge kits, And also the taillights are clear and are 100% correct for the 77-78 fury,And the 75-76 Coronet. The light bars could be used on the 1/25th scale Dodge kits, Same with the decals,IF the are usable. Find you one of the older ones that I mentioned,Swipe the fury grill and the Taillights and make you a 1/25th Fury. And use the Monaco grill in the same kit And build it up,They look nice when they are done. Here is my 78 Fury so far. That is the New DOH kit with one of those grills in it.
  17. No they are 1/24th Scale ,Yes the older versions of the kit do ,The ones with the built up of the actual models,Not the more commen ones with the cool box art, Those are cheap believe it or not, I bought my Both my NYC Fury And the CHP Monaco for $50 combined, The grills are just a tad bigger then the 1/25 Dodge Kits,But you can get it to work,By carefully cutting out the center of the 1/25 Dodge and using a flat needle file to open up the area,Make the body fit the grill, Not the other way around, Thats a disaster waiting to happen. Look for the pre-painted ones like I have posted on here, They only made 3 versions of that one,I'm only missing the LCPD one.
  18. Here is a photo of mine. And no I won't trade or sell them, Most of these were gifts from my wife. She got on a buying spree, And got me alot of these off E-Bay.
  19. I have 5 of those Force 440 kits, Final cost for all of them, Around $300, I really don't understand why those kits are so exspensive, The 77-78 Annual 2-Doors are cheaper,Is it the flasher rack everyone is after?
  20. As far as I'm aware of, Nobody has ever made the car,I wish SOMEONE would, Any of the years would be great. I have been trying to figure out what car to even start with, To make one.
  21. Q-Tips? very cool idea, I just learned something new again, The car loks great also!
  22. I have one of the 70 Nova Bodys He makes, Mine was the same way, It's been in my parts box for over 7 years, I had it all painted ,Went to build it, and NOTHING FIT. I was going to order one of those 67 Dodge Van Bodys , Now I'm thinking twice about it, Anyone on here built that one? That Nova And the 70 Challenger SE were both the same, Great Price,But if you can't build the stuff whats the use?
  23. Here is a Photo of both the 69 and the reissue of the 70 that came out around 1984, There was another version that came out in 1970 that had a cartoon box and had the funnycar options in it called the "Time Machine" .
  24. The only AMC Rebel that were ever produced by Jo-Han was the 69 and the 70 , The 69 is VERY had to find , And if you do find one,Plan on spending between $200-$300 for it.
  25. I to build snap kits , They are a fun quick build, Those were the ages I started building Models, Thats what I ment.
