  1. Hey you can send that to me, To put in my collection, Looks great Caine!
  2. A 57 Chevy convertable? You don't know how to cut a roof off? and use the boot from the 55 convertable.
  3. Missing Link Resin Makes those, Thank you for the complement. This car went together like a breeze.
  4. I just finished this one yesterday, I painted it with Krylon Butter Cream, It is an exact match for the Jasmine Yellow Chrysler used that year, The interior is Painted in Duplicolor Medium Tan Interior paint, The entire gas tank Is aluminum BMF ,As is the Muffler, and Cat Converter, The rest is hand painted, I didn't detail the engine bat as much as the last one I built, I was being lazy, I made sure I got all the Details correct on the Chassis, So from underneath It Is 100% correct detail wise using the chassis in the kit, Enjoy, By the way I started this on Tuesday, So Not to bad for 3 days work, The body and other parts were painted back in October of last year.
  5. We are under a Blizzard Warning untill 7 PM Wednesday, We are supposed to see up to 15 inchs of snow here in Mid-Michigan , I guess i'll finally get some work done on a few of my builds I have been working on, I have to be able to get out on Thursday, I have a doctors appointment, Snow Or Seeing the Doctor, I just love those choices. I can't stand either.

  7. Do we really need anymore 57 Chevys and 69 Camaros? Come on guys. A C.O.P.O 69 ? If anything that should be brought out as a newly tooled kit is the 69 Chevelle. The AMT kits have so many flaws in it I'm suprised it even sold, I'm guilty of owning every version of those kits , The only version I don't have is the 69 Annual. With the ALMOST correct rear bumper and taillights. Ok lets start up a pole here to see how many people on here want the 74 Monaco. With both stock and blues brothers options.
  8. Here is my collection of them, I added a couple more recently
  9. As you all can guess. http://s271.photobucket.com/albums/jj132/spkgibson/77%20monaco/
  10. I personally would use the body and bumpers from the revell 70 Chevelle snap kit, Open up the hood and build it that way, If you have one on hand, To me that is the best 70 Chevelle body and bumpers ever made, Just my oppinion, I like what you are doing with this AMT kit so far, To me this is another one they never could get right, Just like the taillights in the 69 Chevelle .
  11. I agree about the wheels and tires , Nice job, That is one nice looking REAL Firebird, The model is looking great also.
  12. The only camera I own is the one on my cell phone, LOL ,How I will do the headlights is the same way i'll be doing the lights in the grill. As those resin parts are to brittle in my opinion to drill out,I don't want to take the chance of them breaking on me, That would be a nightmare. I'll take some better photos in better lighting.
  13. I bought that kit when it first came out, My dad owned a 76 Dodge van, This was the only van I could find, To make a long story short, when I opened up the box, I was disappointed also, Try and find one of the 79-82 annual grills, or take a 80's Bronco grill and make the standard 79-81 Dodge van, just cut that grill out ,leaving the headlights, And put the other one in the center. Basically that is a 82 with the wrong grill.
  14. That was one hard grill to get right,It took 2 trys, After I let it set up overnight, I'll thin some Testors Clear cement and fill in where the makerlights go, There not white, And the headlight bezels are chrome and argent, Not Black,Thats only on the Road Runners according to my refference material .I still need to paint those,It's way to cold to do any painting on the body ,I hope we get a decent day soon.
  15. i just finished up the grill today, I used the stuff called "The Detailer" To black it out, The second photo to me doesn't look that well, But here is the close up front shot !
  16. Yes thats what I'm using for the rest of the parts. That Light Blue sounds great. I just looked it up ,I already have that color, I hope we get a break in the weather soon so I can paint this. Railfreak, I'm sure you could get those from them,Send them a PM.
  17. Yes they are very nice conversion kits, Great Qaulity Products, Just clean the flash and get it ready for paint.
  18. This is the new Missing Link Resin Conversion Kit, I just pulled it out, Cleaned up the body, The primer on the front is for me to check my work on the header panel, I need some Ideas for colors on the one, Any suggestions would be great. I was thinking a Blue. The rear bumper was cut out to put the taillights in from behind.
  19. Nice Piece you have there Kris, I think it turned out great.
  20. I will be doing one the same way,One of these days. I need to finish up the 4-door with the same color combo first.
  21. I look at it this way,Atleast its not another stupid looking 57 Chevy, Or 69 Camaro, CAMERO. ,How many kits of those did they have out? 50 Combined? Goofy comments like the ones that were made are the reasons some of the MOST wanted cars never made by anyone aren't being made, Where is the 70 Chrysler 300 H and regular versions of them, Or ANY of the fullsize Chrysler products from 1969-76? The Blues Brothers 74 Monaco should be a no brainer, I'd buy a case of those. There is so many subjects out there that could ,and should be made , But all we get are 57 Chevys , 69 Camaro's and everything that has an SS on it, How about a 71 Pontiac T-37 Lemans? Or a 73 and 74 GTO ? Theres a real car. I hope I didn't offend anyone, If I did, I'm just voicing my oppinion thats all. I'll be getting 2 of these Hudson's when they come out.
  22. This is the best way to show you mine. http://s271.photobucket.com/albums/jj132/spkgibson/Model%20Car%20Kits/
  23. Those kits are the most out of scale kits I have ever seen, I wouldn't waste A dime on any of the RM Cudas, They look like those old Palmer kits to me,Very Crude Looking.
  24. Just an Idea for you Ian, Go grab the snapfast 74 Cuda,And swipe the interior out of that, It's basically the same as the 70 Cuda interior, I personally think it would look better in the car, I have a similar project in the works, But mine will be the 71 Barracuda , I'll cut the hood from the kit I mentioned above,Use the interior ,And use the same chassis you used, This is looking great so far.
  25. OK Stop swearing on here, That stuff can be found on e-bay,But, I won 71 and 72 Demon kits off there ,And the bodys look like they are vinyl, The molds are dried up , So thats the reason they look that way . Just be carefull getting stuff from them.
