  1. I'm pretty fond of that as well! I have noticed the opposite though- for a more common reissue, if the kit is coming back again, possibly with new or retooled parts, earlier versions of the kits seem to decrease in price a bit when news of the upcoming reissue gets out. That's the time when I like to strike.
  2. Won't mistake this one for any other Hornet model, that's for sure!
  3. FYI- Moebius has fixed the mold issue- so the mold lines on the body won't be as prominent. And Dave posted elsewhere on availability of corrected decals. Buying a couple more of these kits tomorrow!
  4. I do like Mr. Brownlee's idea for optional wheels, but even if not- I'm up for at least a couple- the Lonestar and Prostar would look pretty nekkid without a trailer to pull.
  5. Yeah- noticed he kinda disappeared for a while. Good to hear all is well, except for the tech side of things!
  6. Gotta say... REALLY dig the 'stealth' version.
  7. International mini-truck, anyone? Indy flavored A Roadster Chopped International Metro? Or a Sidewinder based International rpu? (Yeah, I really like Internationals.)
  8. Fine! I'll build it!
  9. Scott- I actually have a '65 Lincoln I've 'prepped for surgery' to make into something pretty close to your drawing! Mine might end up with an Allison W-24 though.
  10. For some reason, the word 'adorable' comes to mind. What scale is the kit?
  11. As long as it's destined for another Deutschwagen, I can live with that! The Allison would have been cool, but as it sits, I dig the way this one's going.
  12. I was afraid your answer would be something along those lines! At any rate, very cool.
  13. Wow- those old drag coupes clean up pretty well.
  14. I've seen that done with an Aerovette kit- I think it even had a wrecker boom on it! I'd say go for it.
  15. Partly sunny and a high of 53, or so it says. Or is it partly cloudy and a high of 53? Whatever- low 50's in Michigan in November? I'll take it.
  16. Hey- just had an idea, and with me that's never good...
  17. I ordered the SSII transkit from Time Machine, and it did take a few months, but after speaking on the phone with Jeff it was a case of a natural disaster (he had to help out some family members who were displaced by a hurricane) and a simple clerical error (at one point my not-yet shipped order was placed on the 'sent out' stack). I'd order from Time Machine again in a heartbeat- the prices are good, and the quality is good. I do take things like that into consideration, and I have to applaud Jeff for with a couple of rather testy e-mails I sent out! And I've heard very few negative stories about his delivery times. Perry's? I'll pick it up if I see it at a show, but after all the horror tales I've heard, no way am I going to order it via internet or mail.
  18. If you are feeling exceptionally brave, you might be able to use the R&R '48 4-door body to create that Hudson.
  19. Good point. Not sure what the mag would cost the shop.
  20. I'd applaud anyone who destroys a 1:1 Vette for any reason! Losing a Viper might make me sad, but not if it was used to build something cool.
  21. I wonder if a Beatnik Bandit fender unit could be made to work for the fenders. Not sure if the body has been narrowed (it has obviously been shortened), but I think using a Revell '69 body and the BB fenders and a little cut-and-paste action might at least get you in the ballpark.
  22. You could always build one wheel, then pull a mold off it and cast the rest.
  23. Close! One letter too many. XF-10 is Flat Brown. X-10 is the Gunmetal.
  24. Which kit is that pickup from?
