  1. I can't get past the fact it looks like a mid-level Mercedes Benz mated with a Cadillac. A million for that? I'd buy a beat up old Maverick and use the remaining $999,500 for something a bit more useful.
  2. LeMans meets Star Wars.
  3. The only 1:35 kit I have is the Revell Mercedes Lkw gl leicht "Wolf", which I plan to turn into a civilian-spec G-Wagen one of these days. There are actually quite a few cool car kits geared primarily toward Military modelers, but my only problem is if I get too many of them I'm going to need to start up a whole new display area in my hobby room for the things.
  4. More than likely they did that with the NASCAR variants in mind, so you'd need not to cut out the gas door and roll your own filler. Since this thing was one of the first big NASCAR champions, Moebius probably thought many would be built as stock cars. Well, that's my theory, anyway! Like the idea of doing one as an NPS ride.
  5. If you need the V6, the Cougar would be the best choice, but you'd need to rework the belt drive and intake to omit the supercharger.
  6. Don't do much in that scale, but I might pick one up just 'cuz I like the car. If they do one in 1:24 or 1:25 scale, I'd pick up several of them. Just sayin'.
  7. Best buildup I've ever seen of this kit.
  8. Pwned from beyond the grave... by a digital camera!
  9. Lack of the oval is my only issue with the sheet- they're printed beautifully, and they lay down and set well without solvent.
  10. That's the only way I can see doing a tire that takes a separate whitewall insert. Barring that or making your own master from scratch, I don't think a lathe would be necessary, though.
  11. The lack of the ovals in the air cleaner decals is the only bad thing about the sheet- they look good, and they lay down and set nicely with no solvents needed.
  12. Better late than never! Got a COPO Nova kit Saturday morning, and spent the next two days fiddling around with what turned out to be quite a few warped parts. Clamps, superglue, and some colorful language were all it took to fix the problem, though.
  13. I toyed with hinging the doors on my Datsun variant, but, well.... I didn't.
  14. Cool model- I don't think I've ever seen a Mini with that front end before, especially not at this scale, and in a model this well detailed.
  15. The size is about right, and I'll probably use those tires, but it's the design of the wheel I don't care for. I do have some Viper wheels around here somwhere, I might end up using those.
  16. I'd love to see one of the 'bigger' model companies rebox that Bedford kit- Emhar kits aren't exactly thick on the ground in my neck of the woods, and I don't like buying online when I can get it locally. Must be- they've announced they're doing a Prostar and a 53' Great Dane trailer kit to go with the Lonestar!
  17. Forgot all about the Coupelet until now! Sucks it's OOP. Guess that means I'll have to get off my duff and order a center door! I did have fun with that Jimmy Flintstone body, though-
  18. Got the stance dialed in, not sure on those wheels, though.
  19. Is this the one with the window in the hood for the supercharger? If so, I might have the instruction sheet.
  20. I've got a punching bag just kitty corner from my work area, just for situations like this. Odd how a hobby that is usually so relaxing can bring up so much blind rage sometimes, isn't it?
  21. Jon- Revell did a first-gen Courier, but it was custom. You'd need to do some scratchbuilding, but making a first-gen Courier model would be workable.
  22. It does! I was reffering to the Korean-built, US-market Fiesta though. Or was it Festiva...?
  23. Strange looking little vehicle, for sure! Maybe that's what I dig about it.
  24. I've only ever built one- the drag sedan, but it was done box stock mostly. I do have the Thames panel van version I plan to make a little bit wilder, but that project might not be started until a long, long time from now.
