  1. That looks so good. Typically I find errors on most close ups. On yours all I see are details I've missed.
  2. The Modelhaus resin is based off the MPC mold. I know this as I provided them an MPC to master. Tom said he was going to do it some day but the feedback he got at the show pushed it to the top of his list.
  3. I'm on a Mac and have the same problem which means it isn't only a windows issue. I typically browse with Brave which blocks ads but the same problem occurs in Chrome which doesn't have an ad blocker. Buttons do work in Safari and Firefox both which have ads. All this on an older Macbook running 10.15 which is the latest it will run.
  4. I'll be watching. I'm curious as to what you'll do for decals.
  5. First off very nice build of this kit. One of the things I love about this Tom Daniels design is it really wasn't that far off of what was being raced at the time. When you think about cars like Roth's Yellow Fang or Ivo's Video Liner it really isn't that much of a fantasy design. With the exception of the headlights, the blower and the exhausts, this could have been raced or at least tried in the 1960's.
  6. I appreciate this post. Great info on the history. The Denny Johnson info is much appreciated. As for favorites: Mail Box (although I wish they'd don a better replica of Roth's trike, Milk Trike and the Digger. Until this reissue, I only had the Digger from the original issue.
  7. My first car was an MG so I know this car well. Everything is perfect. The bonnet threw me as mine was aluminum which wouldn't rust. I researched it and found that later in the run they were steel. If it wasn't for the windscreen's optical distortion, I'd swear you were trying to pass off a real car as a model.
  8. For its scale, this series appears very well detailed.
  9. UK based. I think you're referencing banger racing. Take a look at this: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/767089749008214943/
  10. I just found this again as a Google search. What's the color of the light blue or is all of that decals?
  11. Is the AMT 1970 Corvette at a lot of Ollies, a reissue of the old MPC molds?
  12. Nice build. Is all the chrome the Revell spray? If so, I need to get some. Looks like it came that way off the kit sprue. The headlights are great.
  13. VERY NICE. One of the best dioramas I've seen.
  14. I keep on hoping to get the Fruit Wagon to reappear at Ollie's.
  15. Funny you mention the Groove Boss. It's one I'd be tempted to buy. I would really like to find the snow mobile and might go for the yellow Coke gasser.
  16. I'm very impressed. The body modifications are very well done.
  17. That looks really interesting.
  18. First picture from the side, car looks 1:1. The Scale Finishes metal flake looks in scale. The application and gloss is perfect.
  19. Question for the group. I recently acquired several 1960s kits that are mint but a couple have spray paint where the original owner tested a spray can. I believe the paint is Testors. Is there a safe way to remove it without hurting the print under it? I know it will be a slow process but its worth it to restore the box? If you've tried it and failed, please let me know what didn't work. THANKS!
  20. I'm still having this problem. I'd love to figure out why the hyperlinks aren't working.
  21. As for why the original contained a turbine? Remember this was the era where the turbines were big at the Indy 500 which ay the time was by far the biggest race in the US.
  22. I need a thumbs up emoji. Looks accurate as a replica.
  23. There's a lot to like here. If this is supposed to be a barn find, maybe cover the blower with a drop cloth.
  24. How is the BIN with small details? I fear it burying details.
