  1. A nice build of what I think is one of the best looking CART racers. I do wish it had been more successful on the track.
  2. Just checked in today....as always very impressed. I appreciate your showing the scratch building. Truly educational and inspirational.
  3. I sent a PM earlier today.
  4. First off, I wish you the best with your father. When my Dad was dying there was so much I wanted to know and sadly much of that I still don't know. I look forward to seeing this model built as I've got a resin body that should really be built. That can wait. Time with your family will pass too quickly.
  5. I just re-read my earlier post. First off, this is a really nice build of a fidgety kit. Congrats. I've got one waiting to be built and those screens on the rear wing are accurate and a challenge to get shaped will. As for my comment about seeing one built to a high level, it was intended as a gently nudge to someone who was doing an amazing job on one a few years ago to finish it.....
  6. I'd really love to see this kit built to a high level.....I remember one being started on the forum.
  7. I've had great luck using real dried dirt. I got a used blender for $3 and use it to pulverize the dirt and apply it with a soft brush.
  8. Is this the 1967 Buick Rivera Cougar edition? Hard nope for me.
  9. Yes.....Monogram used these and a couple of other front wheels in various funny cars and pro stocks. The tires are fairly universal to both series.
  10. 40 Dodge P/U? Who makes a 40 Dodge P/U?
  11. Tremendous detail. Curious just the driver or a passenger?
  12. What I did was to get a roll of metal flashing and created a circle that fit into the grove of the dehydrator. Mine is 8 or 10 inches wide. It is long enough I could make three or four more. This works well for me as I don't need to worry about it being effected by heat.
  13. Good luck. There have been a few others but they're long obsolete. I'd love to find a Snake final strike but I put that in the not likely catagory.
  14. Looking this over.....still amazed. I have similar equipment and wish I had similar skills. Where are you sourcing your plastic?
  15. I keep hoping Round2 will release a couple of drag racers or other race cars each year. While I have a mint 1/20 STP Turbine and a built up to rebuild, it would be great to see it or the MPC McLarens reissued. The MPC Camaro and Dodge Dart funny cars haven't been available since the early 70's if not late 60's. In that same vein, I'd love to have some pro stocks to buy. The last one available was the Mustang II.
  16. I've not built one but have a few. If the threads are machine threads, you might need to tap them. I've got some from the early years (Hubley's) and they're not cast that well. I think that's a part of the metal molding process.
  17. Is that the old MPC mold? If so, I built that kit when it had the old Dyno Don Super Cat decals.
  18. Great body. This is one I'll be watching.
  19. Look for the Monogram Camaro. They make a late 70's early 80's kit that shouldn't be too hard to find.
  20. Not model related but I went to a couple of Ollie's today and found a hardcover book, 75 Years of Hot Rod Magazine for $12.99. Put that together with my new copy of MCM, and I'm a happy camper.
  21. THANK YOU!!!! I use Brave which is built off of the Chrome engine. For several months the site would not advance pages. It does now. THANKS!!!
  22. Mine have been a bust. That looks like a haul I'd like. Heck I'd bought more than one of several of those.
  23. Basics of trademark law, if its likely to cause confusion, its illegal. Period.
  24. teresawulf is the Reliable Resin of decals. I ended up with a set of theirs in a purchase. BAD photocopy of a Slixx set. I have no idea how they're still around.
