  1. 68 used stock hinge. 70 Superbird used a solid hinge and a round spring to hold it open just like the 71 used. 71 Road Runner used a solid hinge and a round spring to hold it open.
  2. What year? He ran the Road Runner from 68 to mid-season 72 before switching to the 72 Charger.
  3. That looks great. I remember the blue /green tint of my Dads windshield in the 74 Charger he had. You see a lot of that factory tint on a/c equipped cars back in the day.
  4. If you used CA glue you can try fingernail polish remover. It has acetone in it and it will eat CA or Super Glue. You could also put it in the freezer and let it get cold before trying to gently pry them off.
  5. Looking good.
  6. Yeah, you can see the bars way up high in those pics for sure. And I agree with you, it does not look safe that way. Yeah, I was having trouble getting my bars and halo up against the roof and I thought why not build it loke we build the real solid frame cars. When using a factory solid frame car, we drill through the top and bottom of the frame and put the main hoop through both holes and weld it on both sides. Makes it really strong that way. And it works that way for the models except your putting holes in the interior floor and putting the main and halo on the roof, if you use a halo that is. Oh, remember this too, when the car is on the chassis plate being built all the roll bars are straight and level, but when you put it on the ground on the wheels, it might look like the roll bar is leaning forward because of the rake of the car.
  7. Roll bars look good. I wanted to offer you an idea to use on your next set of roll bars. You can drill two holes through the interior tub. Then bend your main hoop and leave both sides extra long to put it through the holes. That way you can get it right up against the roof. Then bend and fit your halo bar and glue it to the main hoop then put it back up against the roof and glue that in place then continue with your forward bars and so on. Not sure on that year of car, but modern rules, that those door bars can't be over the driver's shoulder in height and then they meet the A pillar bar at the floor. Just thought I'd throw that in there. I've built too many of the real thing and hate bending these plastic ones. lol . I tried to bend one the other night and it broke. Not enough heat and got too fast with it I guess. Car looks great.
  8. More than welcome. Send me a link when you do a WIP or finish it up. I'd like to see it.
  9. I have that kit too. Finding it hard to get a flat hood for it. Nothing fits. Tried to widen it out with some strips of plastic glued to the edges, but it breaks up when you try to file it down even.
  10. Depends on what version you want. That name goes back to the 60's. They even ran a jet turbine engine in those boats.
  11. On leaf spring cars you can just cut up a small plastic block to put between the axle and the spring. On the front you can sometimes turn the spindles upside down or cut the axle pin off and raise it up to lower the front end. You can also change out the tires sidewall height to make simple adjustments. Need to check to see if you have clearance to do it in the first place.
  12. Looking good. You did a great job on it.
  13. Waiting for that 8 3/4 to explode behind that Hemi too. lol
  14. I got one to add to the list. The 70 Coronet Super Bee pro street has the same problem. I bought one off of ebay that had cracked up paint on it and I was going to rebuild it. I stripped it down last night to find no horn on the rad support and then found the Road Runner horn glued to the firewall where the wiper motor should be.
  15. True. But it looks like they turned that name into a magazine and car parts has the parts. Oh well, don't you miss the old car parts magazines, the wish lists. lol
  16. No, it's not. J.C. got bought out in 2010 by Car Parts dot com.
  17. Could you use the Moebius 65 Satellite grill instead. It has the single headlight to begin with and you could just cut out the rest and put the tubes in with the circle cut for the marker light. I don't know, after looking at the pics again, the 65 does not have that angle by the fender does it. Oh well, it was just a thought.

    L/F Lift Axle

More than welcome. Been a while since I bought anything from him myself. But his front page says he's got some big orders coming in soon. Restocking it looks like.

Try Sour krauts. Model Trucks — Sour Krauts Model Trucks There's two of them on this page. Airbags, lift arms, brake cans, I don't see the axle in the pic, but that can be just a piece of straight evergreen tube. Chassis Parts — Model Trucks — Sour Krauts Model Trucks
  20. Thanks, I think Khils has exactly what I was looking for. I'll keep you in mind and maybe we can trade some time on something else.
  21. That's the ones. I need 6 of them if you have them to spare. Just send me a pm and what you are looking for or how much you want for them. And thanks.
  22. I need 6 tires from the 34 Ford 3 in 1 kit. It was the kit that you could build a tow truck, stake bed truck or a hot rod out of it. Had a flat head v8 or Thunderbird engine in it. I need 5 of them for one truck, it has a spare on the running board, and I need one for a spare on another truck that's almost finished. Some steel wheels with a dog dish type FORD cap would be nice too. I have some wired wheels and stuff to trade. Thanks.
  23. Good deal. My Ollies stopped selling them. Now I'm bummed about that. I bought several from them over the years.
  24. Waiting for the 3rd week for mine.
