Check this guy out one bay. He has a 3d printed version at the bottom of this page for 25. Not sure if that's in your price range or not, but just trying to help. If you have to open the hood, be careful cause that 3d printed stuff is brittle. I've bought some of his stuff and it's pretty good. Hope it helps. Entz Racing Components | eBay Stores

Thanks. I'll check them out.

Looking good. I like that color. What paint did you use and where did you get that black tray at? I'd like to get me one of those trays, I really like that.

Thanks for the reply. I've bought many dist. from him in the past. I guess I just got worried when the site would not let me send an e mail to him. I've got a couple porjects that's held up till I can get some engines wired. And yes, he has some great products.

I just wanted to see if they are still in operation. Looks like I got billed, but two weeks later it's still showing pending and when I try to contact them on the web site it always shows an error and won't send the e mail.

Anyone can build that car, but the graffiti is what made it special to the first show. Glad you picked that version. More or less just joking about building one without it.

Great looking car Mike. Now you need to make a new one without the graffiti on it. I saw the last episode the other night where Angie gets kidnapped. In an earlier scene they show Trent and Angie pull into the orphanage in this car and the graffiti is gone.

Tv show on ABC. He's GBI cop. Georgia Bureau of Investigations. He took down a bunch of crooked APD (Atlanta Police Dept.) cops and they vandalized his car. You should watch the first season it tells everything about him over the season. He was an orphan and so is Angie, she's APD and they hook up regularly since the orphanage. He's dyslexic and is a savant. He sees things at crime scenes that no one else notices. It's a pretty good show actually.

That's a good kit. Just leave the heater box out of it. I always had trouble with that. And you can't see it anyways. I have one that's almost finished now. It will be Blades Charger from the first movie.

It's like putting a clear coat on it, but not as shiny. He wants a shiny vinyl dash and seat covers like they were Armor Alled. -
Hey, you are more than welcome. Resin is hard to work with. Your product is only going to be as good as you mold is. And I think they need replacing quite often too. Plus, that dust when sanding is not good for you. Wear a mask. I think I inhaled some of it one day and coughed for a couple days. With 3d printing, it might make resin obsolete. Once you buy the machine and a scanner your only cost is the medium you want to use to print with. You never need to make a new mold. You can always buy a program if you don't want to buy a scanner and create your own. In the long run I think it's cheaper and will make better parts. I'm working on fitting a chassis to a 3d printed 50 Studebaker truck right now. I'll do a WIP when it's close to finished. I'm taking pics and building it now. I was happy to find it on eBay since they don't make a kit for it. Can't wait to see your finished build.

I see what you're talking about now. I get it. Yeah, the part is not made very well. Especially when you are comparing it to the real thing. I have two of these to build at some point too. Just one more thing I need to fix as well. Thanks for sharing that.

Yeah, they look the same. I know how you can do it. You need a small plastic or metal tube that will slip over the back of the bucket. I forgot how far that bucket sticks out. And you can glue a piece of rough grit sandpaper to the tube. Just punch out the hole in the paper for the bucket to stick through. Then just sit it on the part you want sanded and spin the tube. Might take several pieces of sandpaper glued onto the tube, but I think that might work for you. Something to try I guess.

Nice looking engines you have there. Yeah, they come in a bunch of different diameters. Yeah, just check out eBay or a local Guitar Center. I think I've seen them as cheap as 4 bucks a pack. I have bought some stuff from them before, but I did not have an issue with most of it. I have every thing I need to build Squad 51, Engine 51 (open top Crown) and Ladder 127. The station that they used for Emergency in real life was Carson City Station 127. Anyways, I got the helmets, some pike poles, some radio gear, the bio phone and med box from 3inches under. I also go the chop saw, but I think that's a little out of scale. Seems to be a little on the big side to me. I got the utility box for Squad 51 and that was not impressive. The doors were just not defined enough. And it's one very very heavy hunk of resin too. Has the rear section of the truck frame cast under it. So, you would have to cut the frame, mate it to the box and put the suspension on it. I still have it, but I don't think I'll use it. I found another one on eBay that's light weight and allows me to use my complete truck frame under it. Matter of fact, I think I bought the first one and it was too big for the truck. I worked with the guy to get it scaled back down so it looks right. I've bought some SCBA masks and tanks from him and o2 tanks as well. I have the 6 yellow o2 tanks that go in the back of Squad 51 from them as well. I'll just say that the majority of his stuff is good from my experience. Only two or three pieces that I was not happy with, but I think that goes with anyone that resin casts. I know Gibsons resin engines was supposed to the hot thing for a while. I got two of them and they are junk. I might be able to fix one of them, but the proportions are so far off on the other one, it's not savable. Just for parts. Those have been in storage somewhere. I don't think I can lay my hands on them right now and I really don't want to. I can tell you had your hands full with that gurney. That did look quite rough. Oh, that Ecto interior looks awesome. I hope I can make mine look that good when I get around to doing it.

Check out this guy's eBay store 3 inches under. He has radios, mikes, speakers, lights sirens, fire and medic equipment. He has the Bio Phone used on the tv Show Emergency and other stuff from that show. And they did use a couple of these old Caddy's on the beginning of that show too. He also has parts so you can make a hearse out of that Caddy too. he has the caskets, the rollers that go on the floor, the window curtains and the metal S that goes on the outside of the upper window area. He might be a big help for you if need parts like this. 1:25 scale model Motorola Micor police fire ambulance radio 1/25 | eBay

Looks like you could just sand them down from the backside to make them thinner.

Thanks for the help. I'll check out your suggestions and see if I can make it work for me.

Thanks for the reply. That's a pic I grabbed from the web of the compressor. And the specs they posted. Air Brush Compressor Voltage 120 V Lubrication Type Oil-Free Horsepower 1/5 HP Maximum Working Pressure 30 PSI Look at the compressor and you will see the built in regulator just under the fold down handle. That's the one that's causing it to cycle off when it hits 57 psi or so. That's factory set and not adjustable. That's a pic of the regulator that I bought. It looks exactly like the one that was on it and got broken on storage. I'll check the label on it later tonight. It does look like it has a part number and I want to check the max pressure for it too. It does say it's labeled for 145 psi max. I placed that regulator I bought between the compressor and water trap with gauge you see in the pic. When I had it set up before I stored it, it worked fine as I recall. I think it broke because it was left screwed down to a low-pressure setting. The entire top of the reg is plastic and it has a huge, stiff spring in it between the diaphragm and the adjuster. I think it got brittle and broke the top or it could have taken a hit and broke that way too. Not sure. I used a different air brush when I tried this before. I painted a hood that looked about as real and crappy as the paint on the real car did. lol But I did a body that looked like mini orange peel sort of. And I tried a metalic paint on one car that looked good in some places and not in others. Even though the paint was mixed really well, I just don't think the metalic sprayed like it should. Too much metal flake in some areas compared to others was the issue. Unless you need a smaller needle to make a bigger hole in the air brush for metalics, I blame the paint on this one.

On those brake lines, I think I got them from Hobby Lobby, they look like a straight pin, but they have a round eye on top and they are soft. Real easy to bend, not like a stiff straight pin. Might want to look for those. I found a pic on Temu for $1.18 and they have them in different sizes. Most brake lines are wrapped with a stone shield from the factory. You can use guitar string that's a wrapped single wire over a straight wire. It's pretty stiff, so once you bend it, it's bent. Something else you might want to try. You can find this stuff pretty cheap at some music stores. I'm lucky I got a friend that plays. All I have to do is help him restring his guitars and I get all the strings I need. These also come in different diameters.

I have a Central Pneumatic compressor. I got it a few years ago. It said it had a regulator and that's misleading from the start. It has a power cable that comes out of the back and goes into a valve that screws into a brass fitting in the back of the compressor head. IT's set for 4kg which is about 57 psi. I installed a CP regulator with water trap on it. If I recall correctly when I first tried airbrushing it worked fine with this regulator. I guess I had beginners' issues with painting by airbrush and set it aside. So, not I got it back out and want to learn how to use it this time. The regulator broke under the plastic adjustment knob. So, I bought one online exactly like the one that broke while in storage. Here's the problem. When the compressor runs wide open it cycles off at about 50 or 60 psi and cycles back on around 35 to 40 psi with no load. It will hold 30 psi with my dual action turned wide open, no paint, and regulator wide open. My dual actions says run between 12 to 30 psi. If I turn the regulator down to try and reach just 30 psi, it won't hold the spring-loaded trap closed on the water trap. Even if I hold it closed by hand, it won't build any air pressure and it runs wide open. Once I turn the regulator back up it runs fine but too high a pressure and it starts cycling again. Is this a faulty regulator, not enough volume from the compressor, compressor bad, I don't know. And if I recalled correctly, why did it work fine with the old regulator. Thinking about taking the new regulator out of the system and getting one of those brass valves with the gauge in it like the ones on my professional Binks guns that we use for painting race cars with. All it does is manually restrict airflow by closing off the air supply in the line itself with a gauge on the other side so you can tell by how much you closed it off. Any ideas why that compressor won't work with that regulator will be much appreciated.

Just for the record, Daytona's were four lug till 85 when they went to 5 lugs. So, don't sweat the 5 lug wheels.
