  1. Thanks for the ideas. I'll look into giving that a try. It's almost completely built and made for a pretty nice rig, I think at least. I just need to finish it up and do something with the tires and wheels. Maybe I'll get some pics posted soon, too.
  2. Looking good. I've had to glue the sides together on a couple cars before. I have a '65 Galaxy race car that would not hold the stance either, and had to glue the front fender wells to the bottom of the fenders to get it to sit correctly.
  3. Thanks. I found a set of tires that had two extra in one kit. They might work with the kit rims, but it looks like I might need to buy new rims too. I hate that. They should have made some tires and wheels that will work with this thing.
  4. Where's a good place to get rubber tires for our rigs other than Krauts? While the site was down I picked up a Revell W900 that I want to add to the build. I took pics that I need to post and I'm just about through with it. Problem is the tires. Without looking back, someone had the same problem with there tires. The rim has a lip on it and actually sits inside if the tire. The sidewalls are so soft they will never hold the weight of the tractor. Krauts wants 32 bucks for a set of 8 rubber drive tires. I only paid 25 for the whole kit at Hobby Lobby. Any cheap tires out there somewhere??
  5. What movie did that come from? Had something to do with boxing I think. I know I have seen that screen shot from somewhere.
  6. Nope. Not even close. A Hemi Challenger will smoke that cheby big block every time.
  7. Nice interior. What brown are you using? Mine always turns out too dark for a black interior, but Dodge browns are pretty dark to begin with. I have a real truck that is black with gold stripes that looks really good, if you can ever get it clean. I did a model race car in black with gold lettering, but that did not look as good to me. If you are going to use the big stripes like the ones on the box in gold, I don't think it will work as good. But who knows, and not sure what stripes you are using. All up to you man. Just thinking out loud, you know. That interior really does look good. That's the second one I have seen that really caught my eye. Makes me want to try one out one something now.
  8. Blue with white stripes seems to fit the Fords really well. Should be a nice build.
  9. I have a Lambo project that got stalled because a rad fan decided to take a flying leap from me clamps while I was getting ready to paint it. Still have not found it, but I got an idea where it went. Just cant get the desk pulled out without destroying the whole room to look for it. On another note, I've lost two hubcaps off of real cars in my lifetime. Funny how those always end up on the opposite side of the road than the wheel they came off of too. lol
  10. Looks great. Love it.
  11. Have you ever tried this trick? Take a piece from a pair of your wife's messed up panty hose and put them over the end of the tube on your vacuum and go to town. You'll find that light in now time stuck on the end of your vacuum that way. Worth a try at least.
  12. Looks good.
  13. LOL!! Glad I could help. I figured someone else would throw up some pics before I could get back to do it anyways.
  14. Now, say my name, SAY IT !!! ...... LOL!!!!
  15. Stingray clip.
  16. Hows that for starters? They are not supercharged, but since you are running carbs, there's no diff in plug wires or heater or rad hoses.
  17. Why not buy the 427 from these guys and a tunnel ram. http://www.scalemodelingbychris.com/smbc_partsp1.htm Or get the Revell 69 Camaro L-72 427 Baldwin Motion car or the Revel '70 Chevelle 3n1 with the 454 and add a tunnel ram to it if you want a BBC.
  18. That last pic shows how good the paint job is. Very glossy.
  19. Looks good.
  20. For reference all the aluminum blocks were sold by Keith Black under lic. from Mopar. He painted them black, but you are right, anyone could have stripped or repainted them.
  21. Looks good. Where did you get the decals from?
  22. PM sent.
  23. First time. I read about that on the site, but I thought that was old news. Dang. I need some MO decals and the ones for my squad 51 project. Well, anyone know where to get some decals at??
  24. That's the one. And was not affordable, but I got it anyways. lol
