  1. Good looking truck.
  2. Nice looking cars. I just wished AMT had done a more accurate job on the Matador.
  3. Good lookin car.
  4. No pics.
  5. If you like, I can measure the Hemi Hippie chassis and see if it matches the wheel base of your body. I swear it looks just like the one in the instruction sheet pics in that second link except for the chute mounts in the rear.
  6. I found these links with a quick Google search. Looks just like the chassis in my AMT Hippie Hemi except for the back part where the chute mounts. Hope that helps. I think I'd grab a kit and see how it works for ya. http://www.showrods.com/showrod_pages/cosmic_charger.html http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/instruction_sheetsh/instruction_sheets/mpc/mpc-cosmic-charger-/
  7. No problem. Thanks for the info.
  8. Not really, just cheap and requires more work.
  9. 1990 Bristol day race.
  10. I was thinking if you filled it from both sides you might be able to save it. Hope so. Would live to see the final build, you do good work.
  11. I'll send ya an e mail. IF you notice though, I'm a Dodge man. And the black car is an Aspen R/T and the one on the trailer is a Plymouth Road Runner. My brother and I practically built the Road Runner in 60 days including hauling the hulled out body home. It got a new engine and trans, but everything that was usable came back out of the black car except the new roll cage. Black car was totaled one night.
  12. I thought I'd throw it on here in case someone else wants it for reference. But we can stay in touch. You'll notice in that last pic the fuel pump has been moved. That's to keep from knocking it off in case of a wreck on the right front. Chevy's were bad about catching fire when the frame was damaged and knocked the fuel pump off the engine. How about one of the Dodges on the dyno in person. Over 700 hp and almost 9000 rpm. Enjoy.
  13. I don't have a lot of pics, but these are mine. Last two are dirt track cars.
  14. Sorry, my bad. That is the rear bowl. Line goes on the right side of the pic. You can see the threads in it. No threads on the other side.
  15. The line to the fire wall goes to the fuel pressure gauge on the dash. The two small lines off the logs go to the side of the raised end on the fuel bowl. You got the angle right, just need to be on the end of the bowl. And you got the other end to the fuel pump. You can see in that pic where the fuel line goes on the the left side of the pic. I started out drag racing as a kid and went to DIRT for several years and then moved to the NASCAR G.N Sportsman Div. Still build any kind of race car you want in the shop if you have the cash and still race my old cars too. Atlanta is as rough as a number 2 wash board and Disney Speedway is a fun short track to run on at around 150.
  16. Welcome, anytime. I've built enough real ones and plastic ones to know where most of it goes. LOL!! Yep, Awesome Bill took the win, but Alan led more laps that day to take the Championship, and it came about after Ervin took out Davey Allison early in the race.
  17. Looks good. Like the fuel log too. Next time, just move the lines out to the ends of the fuel bowls. He was an owner/op with the heart and drive of a champion. Alan deserved that trophy. Too bad he along with many others were taken wayyy to early in there life time. I would have loved to see if Adam could have matched the King in some way. Too many to list that was taken way to early.
  18. Photo not working for me.
  19. I like the mesh grill. Turned out pretty good.
  20. LOL!! You said it there. I have a few projects that need headers and I wished I could do that to them too.
  21. Tell me about it. I have a stroked big block Duster with fenderwells,as if there was any other choice. I'd like to run a taller tire for more roll out, but that aint gonna happen. If I raised the front for more clearance that would just cause more handling and traction problems, so I can't do that anyways. Sometimes your just stuck with what ya got.
  22. Those headers look like they hang down just like the ones I posted a pic of. Wonder if they are the same. lol Could not get that lucky could I.
  23. I have a pair of flat beds and loads for my builds on the way. Will post up pics when they get here. About to sit down now and work on the Diamond REO.
  24. It's the right side you need to worry about. In the day, and present too (at least on the dirt tracks) you run a smaller LF than the RF. Makes the weight and heat balance out that way. You do it to try and make the LF actually do some work. With the tall RF and the body roll or counter steering, that is the side I would worry about making contact. Here's a set of circle track fenderwell headers. The subject matter is 314 Y engine headers located at this link with pics near bottom of page. http://www.y-blocksforever.com/forums/Topic51816-3-1.aspx#bm51818
  25. Looks great. Check out the Stones,Woods, and Cook Willy's. It has fender well type headers that you might be able to make work on it. Hard to say really without finding a pair and giving it a try.
