Good idea. I don't think you'll be disappointed in it. It's worked pretty good for me so far.

Please see the footage at the two links below. You will not be disappointed. The film (broken into 2 parts) was made by the NHRA based on action around the US Nationals held in Detroit in 1959. There is footage of the Masters Brothers Dragmaster, Oties Automotive altered from Akron , Ohio , as well as Art Arfons Green Monster, also from Akron . " Ohio " George Montgomery is also shown. http://www.archive.org/details/Ingenuit1958 http://www.archive.org/details/Ingenuit1958_2

Thanks. And you have to post pics off site like photo bucket and then use the image button to put the link to your pic in the post. I dont know why they do it like that, but it's pain and takes a long time if you have multi pics to post.

Make sure to get one with a gauge. I don't think the factory gauge on mine is that accurate. I tried setting it and painting and the paint looked spotted, dimpled or something. Not sure how to explain it, but it gave me the idea it was still running too high an air pressure for my air brush gun. I still like it over all, especially for the price. I've sunk a few nails and staples that came with it and they work well. Here's a link where I wrote up a little review of this unit after I had it a few days. I've had it since about April. http://moparperformancechat.forumotion.net...ressor-t286.htm

I have one of them too. They are pretty good for small jobs like airbrush work and nail guns and such. Only thing is, they are pretty noisy though. The built in reg is nice, but I'd add another one after your water trap if you want to use it to paint with an air brush.

Thanks guys. I had not even thought about Grainger. I'll check them out and order me up a motor asap. Thanks again.

Thanks for the addy. I'm really wanting to build one for my specific needs though. At least I have there fan outputs to compare with what I want to use mine for. I might e mail them and see if they will sell me just a replacement fan assembly.

That's correct. With a squirrel cage only the blades are in the air stream, so there is very little chance of fumes getting pulled inside the motor to cause a flash fire. And yes, I want to use it for more than painting models. I have shop that I build race cars out of and I occasionally restore a muscle car or two. I own a multi show winning Road Runner as well. A table top booth about the size of a sand blaster cabinet would work real nice.

Where can I get a cheap squirrel cage blower motor so I can build one. I checked the local Northern Tool and they don't have one. I don't recall seeing any at Harbor Freight either, but when I was there, I was not looking for one at the time. I might have missed it. Any ideas ??

Glad you liked. I knew someone would. Should give inspiration for some builds. I have no idea where the tracks are from. When you hit that home button it just starts you over again. I did some slick checking, how about Virginia? Maybe. I was going to e mail my friend that sent it, but I broke down the link first. It's a college web site. Try this. http://www.vaautoracing.org/ Full Throttle: A history of drag racing. This online exhibition has been created by the Blue Ridge Institute & Museum of Ferrum College (BRI). They have some circle track stuff too. This just keeps getting better. -
Nice build. I have one of those I am working on. About half way completed now. Pretty fun to build and pretty easy to. Finding stuff I want to use for detailing always makes it take me longer to build one than it should.

Nice car.

The neg. cable should always go to the left head on a Mopar too.

A friend e mailed me this link full of old drag pics. There's rat rods, coupes, diggers and all sorts of old cars in here. Including a couple shots of the "Kings" Barracuda drag car from '65 '66. Enjoy. http://www.vaautoracing.org/Gallery2.html

That's the ending. Along with the closing speech. And it showed kids drinking milk in the classroom too. -

I'm watching an old movie called "Food for the Gods" It's an old H.G. Wells movie. Here's a link with the info about the movie. http://www.answers.com/topic/the-food-of-the-gods-film-1 Basically this substance makes all the animals on this island, accessed by ferry, to grow to sizes larger than human. These rats attack this old guy in a VW Beetle. Model car with rats crawling all over it. One grabs the passenger side door handle and rips the door off. The door had this vinyl look to it with red and white stripes. The outside was red with factory wheels and skinny tires. Another model was an RV. Old Winnebago type. White with the green stripe down the side. Had a little roll up awning made to the top of the passenger side. Rat crawling on the roof of it. Shaggy looking carpet looked pretty real too. There were models of a cabin and chicken barn that looked pretty real life too. The movie was stupid of course, but it wasted 2 hrs. and I had a cold so I did not feel like doing much of anything else. If you want to see some good modeling work, then you can find you a copy of it. I found some you tube clips too. Trailer has a shot of the cabin at the end with rats crawling on it. Here's part three with the VW in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKEpO6w7spQ

Have question for you since you brought up that 55 chassis. That's the yellow car in the box art with the clear plastic hood scoop, right? If so, does that chassis have the mufflers and exhaust molded in ?? I have the black 55 but I don't want all that exhaust on it and it would take a lot of work to remove it.

Would not mind having one of those trucks myself. -
The lifted one is the best one out of the bunch. Looks more real to life.
