Still looks good to me. And it does come in 1" and 2" wide rolls in 25 and 50 ft. lengths. So, how wide should it be for 1/24 and 1/25 ?? Here's what we use. One roll of this will cover a 6 cly and it takes at least two rolls to do a small block. Looks pretty good. I use the real stuff on our race cars. It comes in one and two inch wide rolls. Mine are a dark brownish tan. I don't use the straps to install mine. I use a dab of red high temp silicone adhesive and start wrapping one inch away from the mounting flange at the head and do each ind. pipe til you get to the bottom and can't get between the tubes. Then I start wrapping the lower section as one unit. Once it gets hot, it draws up really tight. Only way to get it off is to cut it off with a knife. Keeps the heat in so the expanding gasses will flow faster as well as lower under hood temps. You can even touch it to a certain point without getting burned too. IT's great stuff for the real world cars.

OK, here's my update, sorta. I am waiting to paint. Last few weeks have been nothing but rain every day. The humidity is so high it aint funny. I tried laying down some satin black that I really love the shade of and from a rattle can at that. It never fails and always looks great. Well, it's got this white ghosting effect due to all the humidity, so painting is off till this rain ends. Maybe you have seen where Six Flags is Ga. in under water. I'm just 2.5 hrs from there in TN. and it's the same system hitting us. All I need to do is paint the body and engine and wire it up and mine is done.

I'm up for it. Most everything I am working on now will fit into this build even though some of them are in other builds already. Most of all of my stuff is TV or Movie builds anyways. That's what got me started back into the hobby was doing a car from a fav. movie.

I think you might be right. I forgot about that scene. I'll have to check that out again when I have some time.

Those are great, except for one. That's not Low Rider, or at least not the one I remember.

I see. And you know what, that bed looks like it belongs there. The more I thought about it, it reminds me of the new retro trucks. Like the PT Cruiser and that chevy thing that kinda flopped when it came to sales. That could be a retro VW truck if they ever made a real one way back when. Looks much better and more factory looking than those choped up ones in the pics that someone posted earlier.

Thanks for posting that. Gave me an idea. I might fab up a bed cover for it after seeing your dump. I have a couple 1 oz. bottles of Alclad already. Think it will be enough? Any tips on laying it down. I did a boat/car type trailer with it once and it turned out pretty good. I was not going for the polished effect though, just a factory look after looking at one at a dealer.

Garry, it's not a bad kit to build at all as long as you pay attention to the sheets so you get everything assembled correctly. I got a good start on it and then kinda put it on hold to finish up some others. I usually start several at one time and as I run out of supplies, I switch to another kit while I'm waiting on stuff to show up. I have the engine completed, batteries and boxes assembled, the dump bed is almost complete and needs paint before I finish it. I like the swirls in the dump bed and I'm going to shoot it with AlClad aluminum to bring out those swirls. I've got a lot of sub assemblies painted as well. When I get the engine details finished, then I'll be ready to assemble the frame. The engine is trapped by the frame, so it needs to be finished before assembly of the frame.

They are two different cars that share the same chassis. The grill, and tail light panels are different and so are the fenders and body lines. While the fenders, hood and doors will physically swap, the body lines wont match up with anything. And it was changed to the Dart Sport after a couple years because of the south and the bible belt complaints. The Dart uses a header bar in front of the hood and different body lines so they don't swap with a Duster either.

Great minds ....

How about a resin Dodge Demon body in plum crazy with the Dodge Demon pitch fork character on the hood and sides. Pair of dual header pipes out the hood, or flip them and turn them to run under the door like side pipes maybe.

Well, I have not found it yet. Must be in the old PC. I'll keep looking for it. The truck in the Don Garlits museum was never run. IT was made just for Garlits. Here's a couple links for you. The first one is a video showing very close detail of the injection set up and it's actually better than my pic. I also have some aluminum stacks that I bought for my truck. I'll get the name if it's still on the bag if you want to order some up. Oh, hit pause and let both of the videos download before playing them for a better exp.

Boy, those top two pics stink compared to how that paint looks in person. And I drilled the holes out in the wheels, but that's hard to see in those pics. Radio equipment wont fit with the seats, and I recalled they used hand held radios all the time in that show anyways. The light is huge for this car. If you remember the show, I have seen them throw it on the roof and because of it's size and weight, it caved the roof in. And no one but tv cops ever put one of those mini lights on the roof with the magnet on the bottom of it.

No problem on the pics. I have 3 MPC Super Bee's that come with a six pack and a separate block for the Hemi. And they have a separate trans too. I may use one of them if I need to. I just need to find a super charger and injector hat and belt set up. I already picked up some resin Weld wheels to use on it. And you don't have to tell me about the real 1 to 1's. I've owned enough of them over the years. We campaign a Mopar NASCAR G.N. Sportsman car. Afraid it's a 365 small block though.

Dist on all big block and 426 Hemi's goes in the front. All small blocks and old style 392 type Hemi's goes in the rear. Has nothing to do with the blower, that's where the hole in the block is and inside that whole you can see the gears on the cam and drive that drives the dist. or magnetos. Never seen one for a Mopar, but they do make set ups for Ford and chevy to run them off the front of the engine, be it by camshaft or crank drive with a belt.
