  1. It should have some curve to it. Here's a pic of the ones we use on our race car. Look 3/4 down the page. http://www.stockcarproducts.com/brkduct.htm This one tells you how they work. http://www.stockcarproducts.com/naca.htm
  2. The 454 was never any competition for the 426 Hemi, at all. And now there are larger versions of the Hemi as well. I think the biggest stroker kit for it is a 472. By the way, the stock Hemi was some where in the area of 520 hp, no the 426 hp that was stated by the manf. They fudged it quite a bit back then just to get around the insurance companies.
  3. The doors don't open and they have not opened since the '60's. The door seams need to be put back in place as well. The engine shot in Bluesman Mark's link is incorrect as well. The rest of that car is not that far off from the original though. One thing is wrong the lower portion of the intake should be gold. All suspension pieces and wheels are painted industrial blue. The rest of the car is Petty Blue. Testors made a Petty Blue paint in the small cans, but it's not right, but it's close. You can get it through an auto paint house though. It's only offered as Petty Blue for one year on Plymouth cars. Then it was changed to Super Blue. Dodges version is Basin Street Blue. I have tons of pics from the '71 '72 era. Both years are the same, but the decals changed as he used Pepsi and then STP for sponsors in '72. If you would like to have those pics, PM me with your e mail addy and I'll send them to you. Too many to post on here and it takes too long using an outside hosting. That's the only thing I hate about this site. Downloading pics straight to the site like other sites work would be much faster and simpler. If you like, you can post some of the pics I send to you on here if you have the time. By the way, I am working on one of those too. I am using the correct '71 Road Runner body though. And there is a PE set for that car too.
  4. I don't know about that. Check these out. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http:/...l%3Den%26sa%3DG http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/define...-426-hemi-2.jpg I know it wont beat the Hemi, and I bet it wont beat the jet car either. lol.
  5. Exacto knife to cut out the triangle. Mount a piece of clear styrene to the bottom of the triangle. Then a small upright piece to close it in. If functional, you'll have to make a round hose fitting placed at the base of the triangle inside the car.
  6. Here's another little update. McNair was twice the legal limit for alcohol when he was shot and she was high on pot.
  7. I might can agree with that one. Only one thing wrong with it if you can call it that. IT needs about 5 more antennas on the trunk lid .... lol.
  8. Funny you mentioned Maxwell Smart. I have a Tiger Sunbeam that I have started. Those things have 302's but they made some stupid foreign made car noise dubbed on the tv show when you saw the car.
  9. Love the trooper car on top. Nice truck too.
  10. Welcome, anytime. Actually it just came to me when I was looking at your pics you posted. It should work and look pretty close to real.
  11. Why not take a pop rivet and remove the nail to make the cups. You should be able to find one in the right size and length.
  12. Looking good so far.
  13. Post them up and lets see them. I was looking for other cars to build this weekend, but my HT and HL did not have anything that fit this build off. I'll just have to work on my 5000.
  14. http://www.fredsresinworkshop.com http://www.fredsresinworkshop.com/linkicon...er%20shocks.jpg That should work. Just add a pin for the shaft and paint or polish.
  15. Welcome,anytime. I tried, but I just can't find any pics online.
  16. I tried to fix that link more than once and it always reverts back to that link above for MAS. When you go to MAS just look for wheel centers on the left side and click on street and look near the bottom of the page for the wheel centers you want. You'll have to buy the skinny front rims and tires separate then you choose the center you want to go with them.
  17. Here's one pic for ya. http://www.draglist.com/photoimages/Photos...Tim%20Pratt.jpg And here's the wheels. Yo buy the outer wheel and pick the center to go in it. Spyder II Look near bottom of page. http://www.mas-parts.com/cart/indexframe_p...hwhlcentrs.html You can email your orders to me at terrykinnearjr@embarqmail.com or you are more than welcome to call me at 814-282-9244 from 8am to 10pm 7 days a week.
  18. I don't have first hand knowledge, but I am sure they are. I just can't see it as being a solved case for the following reasons. Family wants to know why she shot herself with her left hand when she's right handed. They want to know who was seen carrying stuff out of the apartment earlier in the day. The gun was not by either hand. IT was under the body. GSR was found on the left hand. So, you tell me how the body ends up on top of the gun. The body should have went limp and went to the right and the gun recoiled wayyyy left of the body if she shot herself with the left hand. No way it could end up under the body.
  19. I picked up the kit for the micro chisel that has the round tips and an extra set screw and wrench. Mine stripped the set screw out after using it just a couple times. Glad it was the screw instead of the handle though. Picked up some paint and Alclad too. All from Hobby Town. Did not find any kits worth getting at either HT or Hobby Lobby. They are starting to let me down. Guess I'll have to stick with getting them off the net when I can.
  20. Well, they are calling it a murder/suicide, but no ones buying it. Family wants to know why she shot herself with her left hand when she's right handed. They want to know who was seen carrying stuff out of the apartment earlier in the day. They have hired lawyers. They just arrested the guy that sold her the gun too. This aint over just yet.
  21. I really like the look of the red brake drums showing through the wheels too. That kinda sets it off too.
  22. Walter Cronkite passed away. They just announced it on our local CBS a few minutes ago.
  23. Looks pretty good to me. The grill could use some black paint on it though.
  24. Looks good so far. With that hood and bead locks, it kinda reminds me of those SODA, or SCORE racers they run on those closed course tracks.
  25. WE are just getting started, and I don't see any pics of your car or contribution to this thread.
