  1. Great tribute, indeed.
  2. No, it has a busted windshield in it. Looks like it has a round spot in it and the cracks work out from the center. Not sure why it was made that way. I can't tell in that pic, but I think that's the one that had a coat hanger for a car antenna made on it too.
  3. This pile won Street Automotive. Check out the Enzo in the back. IT should have won. http://public.fotki.com/Tank33/model_shows...b/dsc04282.html And this most inaccurate pile won competition automotive. http://public.fotki.com/Tank33/model_shows...b/dsc04264.html This should have been 1,2,and 3 http://public.fotki.com/Tank33/model_shows...b/dsc04270.html http://public.fotki.com/Tank33/model_shows...b/dsc04266.html http://public.fotki.com/Tank33/model_shows...b/dsc04272.html Actually the orange IMCA open wheel mod did place 3rd.
  4. If you are talking about a real car, the rad can run over 200* especially in newer cars. High temp paints a must. DO NOT PAINT THE FINS !!!!!! Only spray the tanks. If spray the fins it will over heat. I did it to a race car cause I thought it would look cool to see the blue rad through the grill. I had never had a cooling issue before and liked to have never figured it out. The paint stops up the passages and insulates the metal from the air flow and it over heats. Learned the hard way.
  5. Glad you posted that. I am working on one right this moment that I bought from one of the board members. It's a Fujimi 1/24 5000 Quattrovalvole. It shows in it in white or black on the box with aluminum wheels, but you know I'm going red with gold. It's very detailed and fits pretty good for the most part. Having a little trouble with the timing chain cover on the engine though and the lower pulley hits the differential area. I had to do some filing and shaping. Using Alclad Aluminum and it looks pretty good. I hate it though, it's sticky, like it never dries and some of it was shot over a week ago.
  6. I have a vari speed Dremel that you can attach this cable drive too. Much easier to hold and operate without the Dremels weight in your hand. http://cgi.ebay.com/DREMEL-MOTO-TOOL-VARIA...%3D12%26ps%3D33
  7. Detail Masters DM1030 That stuff is pretty small compared to the wires used on all of the pre wired dist. I use. IT should work just fine.
  8. That's a great build. Looks just like the photos.
  9. Here's a web site for the wires if you don't have a Hobby Town or something like that nearby. http://www.detailmaster.com/Merchant2/merc...ory_Code=DM-IGW
  10. For wire use Detail Masters DM1030 for 1/24 scale. Took me a minute to find the ones I used, but that's the number on ,my package.
  11. You have to use the coil with any ignition amplifier box. Only thing that can replace the coil is a magneto. It is basically a self contained generator and looks like a very large over sized dist.
  12. I'm glad to see they hook them up the same way we do .... LOL!!
  13. You're all wet on that one. I can help you out though since we run MSD on all our race cars. There's several wires, so get ready. Heavy Black ground Heavy Red to Battery Violet and Green wires go to magnetic pick up in the dist. Orange and Black to the coil Small Red to ignition switch You can also use a Green wire from the tach to the terminal on the box labeled tach output that is right beside that bundle of wires that comes out of an msd box. This covers only the MSD 6 boxes such as the 6,6A and so on. It's a little different for the MSD7AL2 that we use or the 8's and digital boxes.
  14. http://public.fotki.com/Tank33/model_shows...town-murfreesb/ These 3 are mine. The M*A*S*H chopper took a third place. The blue one is a 40 Ford asphalt car '50's era and my '41 Willy's coupe. http://public.fotki.com/Tank33/model_shows...b/dsc04262.html http://public.fotki.com/Tank33/model_shows...b/dsc04268.html http://public.fotki.com/Tank33/model_shows...b/dsc04269.html
  15. Nice truck. Reminds me of the old B.J. and the Bear truck. I'd like to build one like that. I always liked the red with white stripes on that truck. Where can you find a kit like that? Never seen one around here or on the net.
  16. Not a bad idea. That would pass for lexan window look for race cars.
  17. That would be cool. I'd rather have the old COE from the cartoon than the conventional from the movie though ... lol.
  18. I went back and looked at the first post. I'd put the Cragar's on it like in your first posts. They look pretty sharp on that body style.
  19. I'd check the exhaust against the body. Looks like they might stick out too far. NASCAR rims and slicks should make it racey lookin too.
  20. Well, here it is for 20 bucks. http://www.amazon.com/John-Schneiders-Coll...t/dp/B000R9SK2Y http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8XBny6Xlrc http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/1798/john...michael-barnard
  21. Can't wait to see them. Might have to, my pc is down for now.
  22. Yeah, but he might have an idea on how to do what you want to do. My pc is down, so I am not sure when I'll be back online again.
  23. I've got a contest this weekend. I'll have to ask around and see what they say.
