  4. Not meaning to change the subject, but Mike, is that 6000 SUX car from Judge Dread ? If not which movie. I know I've seen it somewhere before.
  5. I think it's the fact that they did not have a lot of plastic surgeons and techniques back then like they do now. Some of the 50 and 60 year olds from back then look like they are 30 or 40 compared to some these days with all there plastic features. Nope. I've got another Lambo kit coming and I'm going to do that white one. I think it's on the very top of that page in that link I posted that shows all the cars from both movies. I don't know who drove it, but I'm building a red one now, so I need a white one and that lets me join in here.
  6. Thanks guys. I saved those links and I'll look into it. I just knew I'd have these bodies left over once I get the other project done and thought I could put them to use. Might just trade or sell them instead. That resin stuff sure is pricey though. Wished the model companies would do some 4 dr.s for cop cars. In the day the majority of cop cars state wide were Mopars, cause they were so tough, could take the abuse and really hard to outrun the 383 and 440 cars. I'm sure they would make a killing if they made some of these kits. I know I'd buy them up.
  7. Like I said before, you can get the compressor I got at Lowe's for $94 at Wal Mart for $65. http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=prod...&lpage=none IF that's too much, check Craig's List, E Bay, Yard Sales and Pawn Shops. I got my big shop compressor at a pawn shop on town years ago and only paid a third of what a new one would cost. IT looks good and it's been running for years now.
  8. I want to attempt to do something that I have never done before. I'm going to have a couple bodies left over after some kit bashing for another project. I've got an idea that I want to try on the left over bodies I have. So, how can I make a 4dr out of a 2dr ?? It's a B body 1/25 MPC "70 Super Bee. I want to make it a 4 dr. and use it as a police car. So, can you give a guy some ideas on how he might do that. The easier the better of course. lol.
  9. Well, look it over good and find out. I might have it, if it's not something I saved for another project. I'm working on a Ford tow truck that's in the movie I modeled my Willy's coupe after. Let me know if you have not seen the Willy's and I'll find you a link to the page.
  10. Looks good. You keeping the flat head?
  11. Yeah he did. Who figured he could read a Bible and quote from it? lol I thought that was a good movie though. Especially the stunts with those big trucks. I drove a Mack for about a year one time, and there's no way I would want to do those stunts in one of those things. I think that one guy that jumped before his truck crashed was in the movie "Convy" too.
  12. He did the Dirty Dancin movie, Ghost with Demi Moore, and the truck driver movie Black Dog. Even Meatloaf was in that movie.
  13. Thanks. I'm going to try and do both the Allison and Cam 2 cars. I'm going to try and make them look better than a straight box build though. They could have done a better job on these kits when they made them. I used to have one of these cars too. It was a '74 with a 401 big block, A727 Chry. trans and a Dana 60 rear with 4:11 gears. IT was black with black interior. Sure was ugly, but man that thing would fly and it handled pretty good too.
  14. He's talking about Patrick Swayze . He's had cancer for some time and it's not curable.
  15. Well said.
  16. I just heard that on the radio a few min. ago.
  17. Not really. After all you did not tell him to put his nose to your model and start sniffing around it, did ya? Sounds kinda perverted now that I think about it.
  18. That's because it a whole lot of car ... lol. Welcome, anytime. Here's the one I started.
  19. There's been several threads on here lately about the Lamborghini and I am currently building one that I bought from a member here. Since I detail my engines, I found the firing order and thought I'd share. Lamborghini firing order. firing order: 1,7,5,11,3,9,6,12,2,8,4,10 where: 1 2 3 4 5 6 Front of 12 11 10 9 8 7 vehicle
  20. You can always pick up one of these and add a water trap to it, but in the end,it's half the price of the compressor I mentioned. http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=prod...&lpage=none
  21. I really don't want my next car to smell like jerky when I take it to a contest either .... lol.
  22. Look at this compressor http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=prod...&lpage=none My Wal Mart has one on sale for $65. I gave just under a $100 for it a few months ago at Lowe's. It's a little noisy, but otehr than that it works great. And with the tanks there's no surges. And you get a cool nail gun. I used mine for the first time last weekend and the nail gun works great too.
  23. Cannonball Run 1 http://www.imcdb.org/movie_82136-The-Cannonball-Run.html Cannonball Run 2 http://www.imcdb.org/movie_87032-Cannonball-Run-II.html
  24. Nice start. Like the trailer too. That scratch built ?? I've got one I am working on. It's half scratch. It'll have torsion bar axles under it. I plan on putting a set of those under one of my race car trailers at some point. They are supposed to ride good.
