  1. Thanks. I hope I can do it justice.
  2. Well, I know it's a curb side, but it's a race car and I was going to mod it with an almost complete engine. You'll be able to see almost all of it if you look for it. That's why I was wondering.
  3. 1st. I want to know if purple super clean will destroy CA glues? I kind of messed a piece up and fixed it quite easily, but I need to dechrome it so I can paint it. If super clean eats CA glue, what else could I use to dechrome it? 2nd.It's a curb side if it has no hood to open, therefore there's no engine in it either. I get that. So is it still a curb side if I mod it so part of an engine can be seen through an opening in a hood ( think hood scoop I guess) and if you can see it through the fenders and the fake tranny and oil pan half is still on the chassis tub. Still wont have a hood that opens, but you'll be able to see a good portion of the engine if you look for it.
  4. I got an idea. Since you started it Emo, why don't you make a list on your first post or make a new thread and call it the build off idea thread. And every one can just make a list of build offs they want t o do. When someone adds a new idea, just edit the first post and add it to the list. As a build off is complete, you don't erase it, just mark it as finished. That way you can keep a list and keep it in order and as two or three are completed you could pic one to take it's place from the list. Whata ya think?
  5. You should don one from Gran Turismo instead. Lots of real world race cars and muscle cars.
  6. If you want real Torque Thrust wheels with the cone shaped center cap for street use, just rob some from the '68 Mustang GT Bullitt kit. I think that is what you are wanting.

  8. Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It may require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun. The bill was introduced on Feb. 24th and will become public knowledge 30 days after it is voted into law.. This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee can pass this without the Senate voting on it at all.. The full text of the proposed amendment is on the U.S. Senate homepage You can find it by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2099. http://ron.dotson.net/guns/sb2099.htm You know whom to call; I strongly suggest you do. Please send a copy of this e-mail to every gun owner you know to help STOP this bill !!!
  9. I can agree with you there. You have to go to the Craftsman truck series to get any good racing now, or to your Saturday night tracks like I race at. NASCAR has turned into nothing but a big high dollar IROC race.
  10. Ohhhh. Yeah, you are right, it hangs darn near straight down. And if you use the plastic chains in the kit you have to eitehr fasten the gate or leave it open, no options. I tend to do mine somewhat like you did yours.
  11. Actually, mine will stay up, but I propped it open just to show it in the mock up stage.
  12. Little Red Wagon for this one too.
  13. I've got a Little Red Express Truck And a Little Red Wagon truck that I'll enter.
  14. All you need is a '67 GT350 kit and add the window scoop to it and get a resin hood. I have a link somewhere that has a resin hood for it, but I don't remember who made it. I bet someone hear knows, cause I got the link from here.
  15. Yes, I finally got a copy this year, but I knew a lot of the facts before hand. You could say I am a fan. I had the original on tape along with some of this otehr movies like the "Junkman". Some of that was taped at his house and you can see the original Eleanor sitting in the corner with the Gone logo painted on it.
  16. Too late. I already forgot about them. Thing about that was, it was a screw up. Only the first two cars belonged to Halicki the cop car was going wayyy to fast and slammed them all into each other and totaled them. The Caddy dealer was a friend of Halicki and I wonder how good a friend they were after that happened ... lol. Even the light pole crash was a screw up that just happened to work out when the car restarted and drove off. The scene with the cop hanging out the car window saying it just hit a pole was written and added in later.
  17. That would do it. Or it just locked up from the heat. You should find black on the parts if it's heat related. I spun a 3 and 4 rod bearings on a 323 race engine one night at 68 to 7200. It was an oiling issue. That's when we started feeding the crank from both ends. The rods were black from the heat and lack of oil.
  18. Wow. So that's the pic that did not show up in that e mail you sent me last night. Never seen a rod split like that before. I guess anything can happen at 40,000 rpm.
  19. There was a lot of expensive cars used in the first movie. Such as Ascot Parks owner J.C. A.'s Rolls Royce, Parneli Jones "Oly" Bronco, a Manta, several limo's, a Stutz, and many others. Most of them owned by Halicki himself.
  20. Thanks. That's a good site. I marked it for some up coming builds I have planned.
  21. They show a blue Super Bird being loaded up, but it's not on the list, unless the Plymouth list is incorrect. And doing the cars from the original would be fun too. It was a much better movie than the second one anyways.
  22. Here's you a couple NASCAR 426 Hemi pics. NASCAR never ran a 454 though. Biggest was the 428, 427, and 426. http://www.allpar.com/images/plymouth/1964/ackerman-hemi.jpg http://media.photobucket.com/image/NASCAR%...rlington-vi.jpg Hope you like them. Here's a suggestion for your build if you want to try it. You can rotate the tires in direction of travel on some course sandpaper to make them look like they have been driven on and take away some of that shine to the road surface part of the tire. Makes them look pretty real that way.
  23. Welcome,anytime.
  24. By the way, the are all a little different in shape. Like the Mustang hoods are flat on the bottom with the opening to the rear of the triangle so they don't realy have a side so to speak. But this should give you some ideas on how to build them.
