Thanks Claude, yeah as a kid I was always amazed at the work being airbrushed on the head lights and tail lights of the funny cars of the early 70’s , even though I’ve airbrushed most my life I was never asked to try my hand at it till I was in my 40’s !! Lol, first a 55 Chevy drag car then a 63 Chevy nova drag and this 65 falcon drag car , and a couple years ago a 69 Z/28 drag car, there a lot of fun to do , I would do everyday if I could!!

Oh I feel ya ! I don’t know how many times I’ve gotten to What should be the last day of a build and then watch everything just blow up , man that sucks, good thing though they always look better the second time you paint em !!

Thanks Alan , yeah at first the the interior was black and red but after painting the pearl white flames and fogging them in candy yellow the red just didn’t look right, so I changed everything to yellow, I also felt it gave it more of a vintage look , thanks!

Jollysipper I would imagine that craft paints would work well , I had always use testors or any model brand paint from the bottle and added fuzzy fur to it before the paint dryed , good luck!

Thanks cabdriver , But I’ve seen lots of models with this style interiors on Facebook or on other sites , not really looking for pics of of those , I was only interested in seeing if anyone here on this site that saw this how too over the past years and found it helpful to them and tried it , cause to tell the truth I’m kinda thinking of doing a how too on custom paint but i don’t really want to do that if no one is going to try it .

Trying to finish off old started projects, Here’s a model I’ve been wanting to finish for a long time, A monogram 40 ford pick up built pretty much box stock , adding monogram lil coffin wheels and tires, made a bed cover and added canted head lights only, after doing A little body work and flairing all four wheel wells and painting And pearl black with some flames i loss interest and I put the truck back in it’s box and it sat for 2 years , couple of weeks ago I pulled it back out to finished it , thinking it needed something else to go with the truck I built the fiat drag car built pretty much box stock except front tires, painted black to match truck I feel it makes a cool little drag team , I posted plenty pics , maybe too many!! Lol , thanks for looking!!!

I dig em all ! I can’t pick a favorite! There all awesome! I have a AMT boat I picked up a few years ago that needs to be finally built, looking at yours is giving me ideas, I’d like to go river/drag boat , blown flat bottom of course!!

Love the look of your build , I haven’t seen many of these kits built, in fact I think this is only the second one I’ve seen, I myself have this kit sitting in my stash maybe it’s time to build it !!
