  1. Very nice collection of cars..2014 was a good year for your building...
  2. Your newer Challenger will last you a long time as long as you change your oil/filter every 3000 miles(I do every 5000 km) You can use Synthetic oil but continue every 3000 even though they say you can go longer..I've been driving since 1964 and have never put synthetic oils in any of my cars..My 426 Street Wedge 64 Plymouth I put in 10/40 and never drive it past end of October..It gets cold and miserable in Winnipeg Canada in the winter..Enjoy your car and WELCOME back to the family...
  3. Very nice purchase..If its a 2011 it will have the Pentastar V6 3.6 and if its 2010 or older it will have the 3.5..Both are very peppy and will get decent gas mileage if you don't drive it like you stole it..I had a 2010 3.5 demo that I got about 32-35 mpg on the highway trips I took from Winnipeg to Minneapolis Mn..It was comfortable but you didn't want to be sitting in the back seat...I really didn't care about the back seat because I sit behind the wheel..Like your car and the wheels really set it off..Nice...
  4. Dimaxion....All small block Mopar engines had the distibuter in the back..All big block Mopars had it on the front..Small block 273-318-340-360...
  5. When you remove that big blob it is a big deal..Use your sprue cutters the wrong way and you're in trouble..Never saw those blobs from any model done in America, just the Chinese stuff...
  6. There is some sweet stuff there..Especially like the Fury wagon(64) and the yellow Road Runner..Nice to see that someone in the model and 1:1 world knows how to put a dust stripe on a Road Runner..All are very clean and well done...
  7. Kornnut, when my son was born in 1972 I got back into building when she worked her shift as an RN..I built and listened for sounds from his room..He got into building very briefly when he was 12 or 13 but gave it up and so did I..Later on I got back in 1991 till 1998 when I had a stroke..My dexterity makes it hard now but I can still paint and I do..Last month I built or tried a 1968 AMT Mustang Shelby from our brown bag build..I put it together with no paint at all..Just plastic and qualified myself if I could still do it...It had no glue marks or finger prints but I made the left hand work with the right hand..(left side stroke) I will be trying again and if its mess then I'am outa here..Hope you do wel with your return to modelling..Good luck and post some of your work....Enough of my rant...
  8. Shane, not into rusty stuff, although I know it takes a lot of talent to make them look real..I like the shiney ones, especially that Camaro..Very nice collection of vehicles. Can't wait to see more of your work soon..Very nicely done, All of them...
  9. I think the car is great..Maybe a few small details but the biggest bug-a-boo would be glueing the w/shield/rear glass from the outside..Just my take..Very nice car and well done Moebius....
  10. To get my model building mojo back..Built the first in 15 yrs..A bag-n-build 68 Mustang Shelby..Terrible kit..Didn't paint it or anything..Just put it together to see if I still could..Left/right hand co-ordination wasn't perfect due to stroke in 1998 but forced it to work together..Didn't come out bad, no glue marks or finger marks..Next I will try to paint and paint detail..Looking forward to doing it..As long as its fun, if it isn't I'am outa here...
  11. Maybe future editions can include a Belvedere hardtop with a bench seat and dog dish caps with steel wheels..This kit and newer variations are going to be great sellers..A few for me please...
  12. Tony....Very nice job on the Comet..Don't worry about the red looking bloched, most reds on my computer and others I've seen look blotched..Nice job like I said before...
  13. Dr.JAY you still got the touch..Very nicely done...
  14. I'am and was before my stroke not the best modeler but my favorite kit was the AMT 1962 Chev Bel-Air the one that is blue on the box..It went together very smooth but the hardest part was mating the interior/glass/chassis together..It was a pleasure to build and paint..Was the best model I ever built..Too bad I sold it to a frient from Rockford Illinois during one of the NNL North events..I say I will build another but with the left hand not completely co-operating with the right hand might be a tall order..Getting back into it I am now building a box stock(no paint nothing) 68 Mustang for a brown bag contest..Seems to be coming along so far real good..Thanks for reading my extended rant...
  15. A very serious build there..Paint is to die for and super clean...VERY CLEAN..Be proud of your work, be very proud...
  16. Was wondering if anyone here uses Gorilla Super glue and what is you opinion of it..I bought two bottles of it..It seems think and takes 15-25 seconds to set to dry..It seems like five minute epoxy that is very thin..How does it dry..Says it bonds stronger that normal super glues(crazy glue) so I thought why not..Does it for glass like other super glues? I want to hear what you have to say..All replies welcome, negative or positive, let me know...
  17. Magnums never looked good on the big Chryslers...Wire wheels looked classy on those years of "C"bodies..Too bad you couldn't get a set of Rallye wheels from the 1974-77 series of cars..Never made them in plastic..My friends 64 Windsor has them on it and it looks good. If you went to Mopars in the Park the last few years his car was there..Light turquoise 64 Chrysler Windsor 4 dr sedan...
  18. Enjoy your new found freedom I remember my first road test in 1964..Took it in a 1964 Chev Bel-Air 4 dr sedan with standard shift (three on the steering column) and standard steering..Clipped a parking pole so FAIL..Called next day and got appt the day after in snow storm with ice..Got it no problem..Enjoy your life with your license and don't abuse it..REMEMBER DRIVING IS A PRIVILEGE "NOT" A RITE...
  19. That six wheel Toronado could have been the prototype for the GMC camper which had Toto FWD...
  20. Very nice build..I like every aspect of it..I have one question though and it doesn't only pertain to your car but others as well..What is with the yellow track bars on the back end of the car..I know Mopars don't need them but most GM model builders put them on..Why is this? Your build is top shelf and is clean,clean,clean...Very well done...
  21. NO..The Lindberg 64 Belvedere with the Black car on the box has both a 383 and a slant 6 engine in it..The Petty Plymouth does not...
  22. Sweet looking car..If you don't mind though..The deep dish steelies and tires just don't cut it to me..Stock steelies in yellow and regular type tires would do the trick..Very nice and clean build..Six cylinder would just cap off the look...
  23. Its held in Bloominton Mn. We drive from Winnipeg for it a day in advance..Meet with some of the guys at Joe Sensers for dinner and stay for the show and go home the day after..(about 450 miles, 7-8 hours) It does help me though as my daughter lives in Shakopee Mn..Save two nights hotel room....
