  1. I don't need more projects....but I am sucked in now. I have built movie cars like this but no real original builds. Here is Tina Turner's Chariot from MMIII I got a while....so I am not sure what to build....but I will.....
  2. BAJA PACER!!! Like I need another project!!! I have a few Pacer kits around......and that Pacer is just too strange to pass up!
  3. Me too!!! Dad was a Rambker Studebaker man. I went with him back in 1963 to Andy Granatelli's (STP) shop in Los Angles to pick up our new 64 Lark Wagon. Andy owned a lot of Studebaker stock and they paid Andy in cars and not cash. Dad was Valvoline racing rep and knew Andy and they made some kind of deal! It's where I got my love for AMC and other orphans! And yes...WW is a Pacer....... Another kit I'd buy a few of if they run it. BTW...it was a IMSA RS race car too!!
  4. Revell 58 with Modelhaus wheels and parts box tail lights. Where were you in 62!!!!
  5. They're GREAT!!! LOTS of talk about them here and all other model BB's. The trim is all molded on the body sides. any Q's I'll try an answer....
  6. WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE!!!!! But I am bias....I have a Javelin and Matador 1/1 scale. It's an American thing. I had some Brit friends at work a few years ago. I'd drive my Javelin to work once or twice a month. I took my friends for a ride one day.....and they were hooked. Now it could have been any older car...but there is Something about a AMC. I've owned them all....Mustang, Camaro, imports....but the only ones I'd never get ride of??? My AMC'S!
  7. I have original issue kits....the nose/grille unit is exactly the same as the reissue. If you modify it as I had shown earlier it fits much better.
  8. In that first auto show pic.....it looks like the nose doesn't fit well.....the kit is correct!!!!! LOL
  9. That came out a lot better than I thought....I've built a few of these.....but really had not thought about something like yours....Nice work! Here was my last Duster build....
  10. Fantastic work!!! It looks like the station on the AMT Chevy P/U box. I have wanted to build a more modern gas station but after I built a older station I found they take up a LOT of room!!! Maybe someday I will tackle one. Here is two pics of my older more rural station.
  11. Very nice work!!! I have the static kit version of it.
  12. Is it on your computer or on the internet.......it has to be on the net. I know some site will up load from the PC but this one does not.
  13. Where is your photo hosted on the web??? Do you have the URL?? You could post just that and we can link to it. Good luck
  14. I've met Andy a number of times and am lucky enough to have a Firebird along with a few other kits. Good stuff.
  15. Nice work. I have a kit and the decals....maybe someday!!!! Here is my last Mustang II P/S build.
  16. The Javelin is good.....just RARE!!!!
  17. Yes.....how????
  18. Decent Matador headers in the NASCAR version.....easy to find too!
  19. AMT 68 Mustang might be good....or Revell's version.....
  20. The AMC engine in the Matador is better....not a lot but some. Having worked on a number of AMC modern V-8's the Gremlin motor is not bad....the axle hole in the block is the worst thing. The chrome valve covers are strange....stock pretty good. The oil pan from the Gremlin and the rest Matador would make a decent AMC.
  21. Thanks Chuck...I had lost the link to that page!!
  22. Sorry...........trunnion......I'm staying up too late!!!!....but it is based on buggy suspension!
  23. A buddy has a 62 American with 'trundle' front suspension that goes back to buggy days! But even almost completely worn out after almost 50 years of use it still worked and was safe as far as it was driving....just a little wild in the rain!
  24. The front suspension is partly there.....The inner half of the lower control arms are engraved but the outer half is missing as are the strut rods that would run from the lower control to the front of the chassis. Look at a 65-66 Mustang for something kinda like the Gremlin although the upper part is different.....some say old fashion! This kit was tooled much like a promo and that may be were it stated although a promo was never made.
  25. The Rescue Gremlin would be a cool build! Does anyone do decals????
