  1. Don't know if you want to count this one.....But how many out there have a Accurate Miniatures NASCAR Taurus stock car kit??? It never made it to the shelves due to AM going under....but I did some freelance work for them and I got a few kits before they closed. Fantastic kit with bad timing and worse luck!!! As far as production kits.....My vote is the Pyro 1/16 scale Laramie Stage Ghost kit. Never saw one in a store and they always bring well over $500 on the bay. I have all the other 1/16 kits and a junker Stage but yet to see a mint kit in person. I also have some regular production kits molded in hot pink. They are test shots of new kits. But these are far from regular production kits.
  2. Another heads up.....the chrome grille insert needs to be thinned.....sand the back some for a better fit. FYI!!!
  3. I have not started my b build yet......just building in my mind! This is just inspiration....not really a Mad Max type thing but I could see one done up that way. The model is a New Bright toy, it's styrene plastic and screwed together...so I dis-assembled it and modified it. Just about 1/25 scale too! Add some guns and armor.......
  4. Yes....maybe NASCAR should modernize......but the EFI system they are using is far from cutting edge. It's closer to a 50's era set up and not as modern as the EFI in my 82 Z-28 I owned. The EFI is, again, smoke and mirrors. NASCAR, under outside pressure, is making changes for change sake and not improvement tot he sport. Just like the corn alcohol they tout as 'GREEN' is just fluff. and no solution to anything at all. With corn alcohol funding cut by the government wonder if it will be on the cars this year. NASCAR of the past is gone...never to return. It still beats the tar out of stick and ball stuff.....who here has built a model of a football player?? At least it ties into my model hobby.
  5. Ohhhh....the days of Karen and John.....I guess we have John and Tom now......but neither are as good looking as Karen......I thought it was Karen Sands though?????
  6. Here is one I have on hand.................. Check the link below for more info on chassis.....thanks http://public.fotki.com/DaveVan51/2012-builds/grem2.html#media
  7. FYI....here is the decals for the Flock 300. This kit will be another home run!
  8. I added some plastic to widen the chassis some so it doesn't float is the body......
  9. No issues with any of my 12 kits so far.....
  10. And the cars, some call odd, were different and not cookie cutter. One reason I love my Javelin and Matador so much....I had more mainstream cars before these....not as fun as these!
  11. I order 80% of mine direct from Plastruct.....great service from them.
  12. I don't need more projects....but I am sucked in now. I have built movie cars like this but no real original builds. Here is Tina Turner's Chariot from MMIII I got a while....so I am not sure what to build....but I will.....
  13. BAJA PACER!!! Like I need another project!!! I have a few Pacer kits around......and that Pacer is just too strange to pass up!
  14. Me too!!! Dad was a Rambker Studebaker man. I went with him back in 1963 to Andy Granatelli's (STP) shop in Los Angles to pick up our new 64 Lark Wagon. Andy owned a lot of Studebaker stock and they paid Andy in cars and not cash. Dad was Valvoline racing rep and knew Andy and they made some kind of deal! It's where I got my love for AMC and other orphans! And yes...WW is a Pacer....... Another kit I'd buy a few of if they run it. BTW...it was a IMSA RS race car too!!
  15. Revell 58 with Modelhaus wheels and parts box tail lights. Where were you in 62!!!!
  16. They're GREAT!!! LOTS of talk about them here and all other model BB's. The trim is all molded on the body sides. any Q's I'll try an answer....
  17. WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE!!!!! But I am bias....I have a Javelin and Matador 1/1 scale. It's an American thing. I had some Brit friends at work a few years ago. I'd drive my Javelin to work once or twice a month. I took my friends for a ride one day.....and they were hooked. Now it could have been any older car...but there is Something about a AMC. I've owned them all....Mustang, Camaro, imports....but the only ones I'd never get ride of??? My AMC'S!
  18. I have original issue kits....the nose/grille unit is exactly the same as the reissue. If you modify it as I had shown earlier it fits much better.
  19. In that first auto show pic.....it looks like the nose doesn't fit well.....the kit is correct!!!!! LOL
  20. That came out a lot better than I thought....I've built a few of these.....but really had not thought about something like yours....Nice work! Here was my last Duster build....
  21. Fantastic work!!! It looks like the station on the AMT Chevy P/U box. I have wanted to build a more modern gas station but after I built a older station I found they take up a LOT of room!!! Maybe someday I will tackle one. Here is two pics of my older more rural station.
  22. Very nice work!!! I have the static kit version of it.
  23. Is it on your computer or on the internet.......it has to be on the net. I know some site will up load from the PC but this one does not.
  24. Where is your photo hosted on the web??? Do you have the URL?? You could post just that and we can link to it. Good luck
